Highly equipped and stocked home with bathing, and cooking essentials and snorkeling gear. Quiet neighborhood but close to so many things. We loved hearing all the birds and enjoyed our stay!
Nice place! Clean and cute! Good location, close to everything. Could have used a rice cooker!

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Compact for small family
Older place that coulds use a little better up keeping.
The windows on the stair could not be close because it had a broken turning arm found during check in. This causes the house to be hot and all the ac to escape. Ceiling fans are not speed adjustable while one of the portable fan is broken and doesn't oscilate.
The last night and the following morning we found two vietnamese centipedes which are known to have very deadly bites.
The bushes are not trimmed back enough causing them to rub the sid of my suburban when entering and leaving. This same driveway is also shared with the neighbor.
Initially I was worried living room would be too small from pictures for family. It was fine. Plenty of room. Lot of nice touches like cotton balls, generous soaps. It was good space. The beach chairs we never could have brought. Lot of extra things for babies and beach play. Very tidy. Style was nice and calming. Gated community felt safe. The best part was that shade tree out front. Made all the difference in sitting outside. Lots of books. I left two! Could have had some games for evenings. Walk to church and beach perfect. Beds comfortable, rice cooker for me would have been great. Laughed at iron. Never used but thoughtful! If we ran out, team was quick with TP and trash bags. Thank you!!!!
Daniel was a great host from the start. Great communication with clear instructions and responds quickly. The house was amazing and highly recommended to anyone visiting Kona. Thanks Daniel!

About the host
Hosted by Daniel Vaverko
Aloha :) We are Anya & Dan - sister & brother duo living in Kona on the Big Island of Hawai'i and hosting guests from all over the world!
Anya was born in Ukraine, and we both grew up in New York. She's spent most of her life traveling around the world. Previous to being an Airbnb host in Hawaii, Anya lived in Kathmandu, Nepal where she started Sattya Media Arts Collective and a guesthouse called 9 Rooms. Anya loves podcasts, documentaries, trekking, punk rock, languages, design, nature, architecture, & art.
Dan escaped the hustle-and-bustle of the NYC area to enjoy quiet island life. Before AirBNB, Dan worked in the automotive industry. He loves traveling, coffee, music, exploring, photography, working on cars, off-roading, and good conversation.
We have called the Big Island home for the last 7 years, where we love being hosts and meeting people from all over the world.
