Reviewer Comments:
This was a wonderful stay in a perfect location!! Going back in time with not just Savannah but also the home.
The construction wasn’t an issue at all. The location was absolutely perfect! Parking was nice but we didn’t drive at all the entire stay because the location was so great. The place is clean. I didn’t notice though the bottom level is a separate rental but that’s my fault. The front door could use some love and we reported a shower leak going through to downstairs and nobody ever showed to our knowledge. It was a nice stay and had everything we needed.

Thank you for the 5-star review. Glad the location was perfect and the place was clean — great that you didn’t need to drive. Appreciate the note about the bottom level being a separate rental. Sorry the front door needed some attention and that the shower leak wasn’t resolved during your stay; we’ve notified maintenance and will make sure both are addressed. We’d love to host you again! - The Lucky Team
This was a lovely historic space that was right in the heart of the historic district and would have made for a great visit if we hadn't had a toddler with us. Not a great spot for small children but would otherwise recommend! Clean. Well equipped. Close to everything.

Thank you for the 5-star review. Glad you enjoyed the historic charm, cleanliness, and central location. Sorry the layout wasn’t a great fit for your toddler — we’ll update the listing to better note suitability for small children and look into additional child-friendly options where feasible. We’d love to host you again! - The Lucky Team
Great Location, easy to walk to downtown, Forsythe Park, and lots of restaurants and bars including 1790 Inn and Restaurant around the corner! Enjoyed the large living room to hang out with our friends and loved the antique staircase to the 2nd floor. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Wonderful location. Beautiful historic adornments. Main bathroom - shower head falling out of wall and sky light leaks - floor was soaked after a night of rain.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed the location and the historic adornments. We’re sorry the main bathroom shower head came loose and that the skylight leaked, leaving the floor soaked after the rain. Our local maintenance team has been notified and will address both issues to prevent this from happening again. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to host you again. - The Lucky Team
Great home in the heart of downtown Savannah! Extremely walkable & clean. Construction is happening next door but we were out and about most of the day and were unbothered.

Thank you for the 5-star review! Glad the downtown location, walkability, and cleanliness worked well for your stay, and that the nearby construction didn’t affect your time exploring. We’d love to host you again at Lucky Savannah! — The Lucky Team
We stayed at this property a couple of years ago as well. Overall it’s a nice place with beautiful original architecture but it needs some work. Bathroom tile is loose- same ones from a couple years ago. None of the tvs upstairs worked because the tv sticks were not plugged into anything but its missing adapters. So those were not useable. The steps walking up need more repair- I did see they had replaced one or two. Overall it’s a nice location and it does come with parking but I just think the owner needs to do some maintenance.

Thank you for staying at Lucky Savannah again and for the four‑star review. We’re glad you enjoyed the original architecture and the convenience of parking.
Sorry the bathroom tile is still loose — we appreciate you calling that out and will have it repaired or replaced. Apologies the upstairs TVs weren’t usable; we’ll check the TV sticks, bring the necessary adapters, and verify all units are working. We’ll also continue the stair repairs and inspect the remaining steps to ensure they’re safe.
Thanks for the helpful feedback — we hope to host you again. - The Lucky Savannah Team

The house was beautiful! It was clean and well appointed. The construction outside and lack of maintenance on the courtyard in back was sad. We did enjoy it overall and would def reserve it again. Also, there is a smaller unit downstairs that was part of the original house. I would get that next time as well to have 3 real bedrooms.
Clean property with a lot of historical significance. Very nicely placed to go exploring through the city, with plenty of food/shopping options only a block away.

Outdoor and indoor locks could be much better. There is construction going on, and we knew it was in one building, but it's on both sides and quite invasive when trying to park and enter the home. Privacy was also compromised once during our stay. Jet rub didn't work. Bathroom showerhead wouldn't stay upright to shower and leaked horribly, so only one shower was functioning properly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry your stay fell short of expectations.
We appreciate the details about the locks, construction disruption, privacy concern, jet tub, and the leaking showerhead. I’ve shared your feedback with our maintenance and management teams so they can inspect and repair the locks and plumbing, and coordinate with the contractor to limit impact and clarify work zones. We take privacy concerns seriously and will review how to prevent a reoccurrence.
If you’re willing to share any additional details or photos, please message us through Vrbo so we can follow up. We hope to have the chance to provide a much better experience in the future. — The Lucky Team
This historic house is a fine example of1800”s architecture. It has beautiful door/window moldings, elegant chandeliers, tall ceilings and hardwood floors. However, kitchen cabinet doors are not closing correctly, the back porch/stairs entry has rotting balusters, non-slip stair stickers are peeling/coming off, gutters are leaking and leaving rust and slippery handrails. We must also mention that the buildings on both sides are being renovated and the workers were on site every day, including Saturday and Sunday, at 7:30am with commercial equipment beeping and ladders being slammed into the house. These companies are also occupying most street parking spaces leaving us long walks each day. Lastly, the location is a central historic area, but Oglethorpe Ave is a thoroughfare with car/bus/truck traffic all day and night.

Thank you for staying with Lucky Savannah and for the thoughtful, detailed feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the home’s historic details and character. I’m sorry your stay was affected by the maintenance issues and the early morning construction and parking congestion next door. Our local team has been notified and will inspect and repair the cabinet doors, back porch balusters, stair treads, gutters, and handrails. Thank you again for letting us know — we hope to host you in the future.
This place was wonderful. It was in the perfect location. The old time feel with all the comforts of exactly what you need. Will stay here again, and I hope soon!
This was the perfect spot for my family of four with 2 under 5 years old.
Conveniently located between Forsyth Park and the river. You can basically park in the off street parking and walk everywhere. Highly recommend staying here!
We came to Savannah for a quick midweek visit with friends. It was great staying in a place with historic roots. We had plenty of room and never moved the car once except for a dinner night at Tybee Island.
