About this property

4 BR comfortable GM golf home - large lot on 12th fairway, private location

The ultimate in Black Butte flexibility! Our home is comfortable for one couple or for larger family/friend gatherings. With 4 bedrooms and a den, it will sleep 12. It has a very private feel, located on a large 1.5 acre lot. (After all, a “getaway vacation' should be just that.) But it is also located near many of the best Glaze Meadow amenities. Our home fronts the Glaze Meadow 12th fairway; there are two tennis courts across the street as well as a new neighborhood pool; and the Glaze Meadow Rec Center/large pool is just a short bike ride/walk away.

Our home is designed as a comfortable vacation home. With exposed beams and an abundance of Brookswood paneling, the home has the feel of a cozy mountain retreat. To take advantage of the contour of the property, the home is configured on 3 levels:

- There is a bathroom and two master bedrooms (with queen beds and individual sink/vanities) on the upper level.
- The main level offers a spacious living room including a wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a ½ bath and a den with hideabed. There is also an eating area with a table that will seat 12 and, for quick dining, there is counter seating with 3 barstools.
- The lower level offers another bathroom with shower, a utility room with oversized washer/dryer and 2 bunkrooms, each with two bunk beds. Families will enjoy the privacy afforded by the fact that the master bedrooms and bunkrooms are two levels apart!

We have a newly installed two level deck which offers pleasurable viewing of the 12th fairway. There is a gas barbeque, picnic table and numerous lawn chairs for lounging or outdoor dining.

If you stay with us, we think you’ll agree that this is a perfect home to complement the relaxing, laid-back experience that a Black Butte vacation offers and you’ll understand why we keep going back year after year!

Summer - Note to those thinking about a summer stay. In the summer, we only rent by the week from Monday to Monday. One 2025 summer week remaining (July 7-14). Will WAIVE full week requirement and accept 4 day or longer rental.

Black Butte access fee - Beginning in 2024, the Ranch has changed its long-standing policy of collecting a per person per day access fee. The Ranch now requires hosts to collect an access fee of 12% of the rental fee from guests and to remit this sum to the Ranch. This fee is in addition to those paid through VRBO. Guests no longer pay a fee at the time of registration with the Ranch Welcome Center.

Great Golf Getaway

Perfect house for a golf get away Plenty of comfortable beds, updated kitchen, and the bathrooms are nice. For the price there isn’t a better place to stay in Black Butte.

Other than a malfunctioning AC (repair in progress), we loved our week—comfortable, spacious house well equipped for enjoying all the benefits of the Black Butte resort. Note, though, that If you have small kids, the bunk rooms are quite far from the two adult rooms two floors up. Hosts are very nice.

The house accommodated our needs very well, and it was as described. It is in a prime location for watching golfers, and finding golf balls, as it is just off the 12th fairway of Glaze Meadow golf Course. We saw deer, wild turkeys, and an assortment of other woods wildlife. The house was close to a smaller community pool with two tennis courts, and we never went to the larger, more crowded, pools. There lots of games and DVDs to choose from. We would stay again.

Black Butte Perfection

The house is well located near a pool and tennis courts, large with plenty of room for everyone. The kids (and adults) loved being on the golf course, evening walks and searches for lost golf balls. The house was very clean and had all necessities. Lots of stairs but even us 80 year olds had no trouble navigating those. We have been renting at Black Butte for many years and this is one of the best experiences.

Home is big and sleeps a lot of people, comfortable and lots of light. Definite ski cabin feel, we liked the rustic 80’s vibe, just don’t expect a luxury experience. Kitchen was well stocked and lots of counter space. All appliances worked great, The only negatives were the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable, and the downstairs was extremely cold, there were plug in heaters to use though.

I have been renting in Black Butte for the last several years after we sold our personal Black Butte home. We have finally found the house that has it all! This house has the best back deck that is very private. Every night my wife and two little boys had dinner out there. The house has lots of room to roam both inside and outside. These owners are amazing to work with! Thank you!

Peaceful and Beautiful location

Located in the far reaches, ithe house is quiet and private. Owners are very responsive. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything we needed was there. House has lots of steps. Black Butte Ranch is wonderful with great walking trails and a nice restaurant. Main restaurant/lodge is being renovated. We had a great time.

Great Location and Quiet

We had a great time at this house. It had plenty of room for all of us. The kids loved searching for golf balls at night and being able to walk to the pool. Only downside is the house has a lot of stairs and was a bit challenging for little ones and older ones. The house was in good shape and the deck was great to sit back and relax. The house is a bit rustic but overall it had everything we needed and was perfect for the family. As long as you think of it as a cabin vs a fancy vacation home then you will be set. Definitely would come back and the owners were great! Thank you!

Nicely located. Private and quiet setting on the Glaze Meadow golf course. The home set back enough that golfers did not interfere from the privacy the property afforded. Our group utilized the deck daily for relaxation, conversation, cocktail hour and cooking. Our host was quite accommodating and accessible. He made it easy for me to gather the information I needed to make decisions for our stay.

Nice Winter Retreat Location

Our group enjoyed our time at this property. Two rooms with double bunk beds made it easy to have the kids located in one area. We managed to keep everyone warm and fed during our time there. We liked having the forested view from the dining room and living room. It was a bit of a challenge to find the house in the dark but it's towards the back part of the resort and very quiet and private. I do wish I would have known about the per person resort fee prior to renting. I'm not sure it would have changed my plans but there's a bit of a sticker shock when you find out about having an extra unknown fee.
