Truly my favorite place to spend family time. One of the only places the whole family has nothing to do but "check out" There is nothing like simplifying and enjoying the peace and quiet and unforgettable time together. Sitting around a fire under a star lit sky after a day four wheeling, kayaking, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing or just walking in nature. We have also enjoyed many days on the boat on surrounding lakes tubing and skiing. This is our family cabin that has rewarded us with so many memories.. With the hectic life we live we cannot get there as much as we would like so we have decided to open it up for others to make memories. Not the place for everyone, but offers enough amenities to be comfortable as you decompress in nature. The cabin itself is a 3 bedroom with 2 additional futons in the living room. The main bedroom has a double bed. The second has bunks and the 3rd has a trundle bed. In addition, there is a bunk room above the garage with 3 additional beds and a futon. There is one bathroom. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen including microwave, utensils, pots and pans along with dishes and silverware . Also equipped with propane counterflow furnace, electric heaters and window A/C unit. There is TV equipped with a DVD player. There is a propane grille and fire pit as well. In the garage you will find a canoe, 2 kayaks, paddles and life jackets s for your use. For those that enjoy snowmobiling or four wheeling you don't have to trailer anywhere. It is located in the middle of state land trails and you will have a garage to pull into when done riding. If your looking to enjoy other activities, you are half way between Gaylord and Alpena. Roughly 30 - 40 miles There are many golf courses within 45 minutes.. You are also an hour from the Mackinac bridge for a day trip. To me, its the perfect combination for vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the comfy cabin. Plenty of parking and it was just as described. Trails are right next to the property as described and we enjoyed riding.
beautiful property with abundant wildlife and outdoor activities available. Close proximity to some of the cleanest lakes and best fishing in the state. Clean and well kept property and buildings. Landowners are incredibly easy to deal with. Already booked our next stay
I booked this cabin online a week before the trip. The owner contacted me and said that he didn't know how VRBO allowed an instant booking since it was shut down for the winter for plumbing repairs. I asked him for a full refund. But, instead of cancelling the trip he only refunded the amount he received. I was out the damage insurance and VRBO fees, totaling about two hundred and fifty bucks. I contacted VRBO, explained it to them. The person I talked to said they contacted the owner to do a proper cancellation and I would then receive the refund. Never happened.
