This charming, spacious farmhouse was just perfect for our family gathering. It was cozy annd comfortable! Each room was prepared with careful attention! The camp fires in the evening provided space for laughter and conversation. The river was beautiful and refreshing.
The private beach at the home was great, so relaxing, bald Eagle flew right over us, tubes to float in river. Home was very large, clean and well stocked with essentials. Beds were very comfortable, loved the back deck and huge yard to hang out on. We really enjoyed our time here while visiting for concert at Bethel Woods.
An airy, light, attractive, well taken care of property, with lots of space for everyone! The host goes out of his way to make it extra good for you!!!!(like blowing up all the tubes, and toys for the kids, marshmallows, smores and bar b-q stuff....) Thanx! We enjoyed every minute and hope to come back!
A wonderful family gathering place for our special event. Went tubing on the river, saw bald eagles diving there, and visited somewhat nearby cascading falls.
A place reminding us of how we lived a number of decades ago; a pleasant place and pleasant surroundings. Also, importantly, thoughtful hosts providing special contributions for the reasons we all gathered. Enjoyed everything.
We absolutely loved the place. A large outdoor space, a beautiful porch, fire pit we used it all. We had two teenagers and 3 young adult with us and they were very satisfied with the place (and trust me, it is not easy to satisfy them). There is a river literally across the street that we fully enjoyed as well. Definitely will consider to go back.
Thanks Joe for everything!!
We just had a wonderful long weekend stay at Tony & Renee’s beautiful spot in the Catskills.
Our multi-family group was so pleased with the amenities at this charming farmhouse. Kitchen and full bathroom have been nicely updated, and are well stocked, with just about everything you could possibly need!
The location is perfect for a nature getaway. We enjoyed the river appt right across the street-perfect for fishing, kayaking and floating.
Tony & Renee are such lovely thoughtful hosts-with well-labeled instructions throughout the house.
The large field in the back is perfect for games, frisbee, etc. And lots of wildlife sightings nearby including a bald eagle and deer.
We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely farmhouse located on the Neversink River. It is the perfect place to unplug and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. The children had a fun time catching tadpoles and minnows in the river and floating down the river in their tubes. Every evening we watched the groundhogs and deer come into the yard. The house had plenty of games for us to play in the evenings. During the day we explored the Catskills. Hiking to waterfalls, riding a railcar, and going to the indoor water park. It was a great family vacation and we will surely be returning to do more exploring.
The property is beautiful! Every morning, we sat on the deck, drinking coffee and staring out into the field while deer and other animals grazed. Up the road, an eagle perched atop a light post. Across the road, we relaxed and wrote on our private patch of riverfront. Inside the house, it's easy to see that this place has been much loved and cared for by the family / owners with a blend of antique touches and modern amenities. At night we sat by the fire and stargazed. The hosts welcomed us with a generous gift basket and our group felt at home the moment we arrived. Throughout our stay the hosts were available when needed and left us to our privacy when not. While we rented the property for a small artist retreat, it's also great for families, or groups of friends. The house has several bedrooms - plenty of room to spread out or to gather together. There's access to the rail trail about a mile up the road, swimming and tubing across the way, and quaint towns within a 15 - 30 minute drive depending on what you're looking for. Overall, a wonderful place and a great experience with the hosts. We're already thinking about when we can return.
We just spend 3 nights in this wonderful cozy old farmhouse. We went with another family and the home was spacious for us 7 to never feel on top of one another. We got to enjoy fun evenings in the comfortable living room singing and playing game. The family room is very well stock with games, puzzles, and DVDs. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom are fully and beautifully renovated and very well stocked as well. The outdoor is gorgeous and we spent an evening by the fire pit playing guitar, singing, making s'mores. At dusk deer come and graze the lawn. We were lucky enough to spot the neighboring bald eagles.
We dream of being able to come back in the summer to fully enjoy the creek. While the owners stated that the house was 80% renovated, the home was incredibly welcoming, comfortable and super charming.
We enjoyed great hikes as well and went to Mullet Falls blue trail and Walnut Loop South to the overlook to see the autumn foliage.
Joseph and Maria were very responsive and warm.

Stay during trip to Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center
My family and I came to stay here for two days to attend a concert in Bethel Woods. The town itself where this home is located does not offer much. It took us about 45 minutes to get to Bethel Woods. The home is situated near a beautiful riverfront, which we had access to and enjoyed. Unfortunately, our trip was hampered when my husband and daughter were attacked by many wasps (they each have about ten wounds from stings) when they sat on the nest that is attached to the bottom of the wooden bench swing on the property. In that general area where you will see chairs and a fire pit in the picture, there are wasps swarming around. We tried to destroy the nest with insecticide and by physically knocking it off the swing, but it regrew the next day. We brought the fire pit and chairs from the table across the lawn to another area where we could safely sit. The owners provided a gift of s'mores materials and wine--which was very sweet of them. It was a very unfortunate experience complicated by the fact that they felt uncomfortable during our stay. Overall, we were not overly impressed with the comfort of the home. The shower upstairs is basically a metal box with a rusted floor. The hot and cold handles are reversed--it took us a little while to figure that out ! Overall, this is not a place we would book again when attending a concert in Bethel.
we have been working on a project in Monticello and at the end of the day it is comfortable to return to this beautiful house where we can easily relax and forget about work especially on the river bank with its private beach
