About this property
Historic Hudson Valley Farmhouse w/ Sauna in Stone Ridge Hamlet
Enjoy the full character of a historic 1920 Hudson Valley farmhouse by booking both floors of the home in Stone Ridge. This option is ideal for families or small groups who want the comfort of a private house while staying in one of the most historic hamlets of the Rondout Valley.
One of the highlights of the property is the private wood-fired outdoor sauna, located just steps from the backyard stone patio. After a day exploring the Hudson Valley, many guests enjoy relaxing in the sauna and spending quiet evenings outdoors.
The home offers two separate living areas, giving groups room to gather while still having space to spread out. The lower level includes several cozy rooms typical of a historic farmhouse layout, including a living room, bedroom, and a small sitting space known as the tea room, which connects the entry area with the kitchen and hallway.
The upper level features a large open living room and kitchen, creating a bright gathering space with a more modern layout. The bedroom sits just off the kitchen, with the bathroom nearby.
An internal staircase connects the two levels, allowing guests renting the entire home to move easily between floors and use the property as a single residence during their stay.
Stone Ridge is part of the Rondout Valley in the Hudson Valley, known for its historic architecture, rural landscapes, and nearby outdoor recreation. Guests often spend their days hiking local trails, exploring nearby villages such as High Falls, or enjoying scenic drives through the valley.

About the host
Hosted by Serg
Professional host and 6 consecutive years as a superhost on airbnb. I love the place I live - the Gunks (Shawangunk Ridge). I love to share my properties as well as our beautiful area with guests. We have solid operations and are very serious about cleaning and quality of the service we offer. I am also a skydiving instructor at Skydive the Ranch. I love to share the sky with first timers. Come stay in our properties on the ground and fly with me in the sky!
Why they chose this property
A lot of small details were thought out for the guests to be comfortable, to cook meals, enjoy fresh high quality morning coffee and enjoy the place. The place is a beautiful historical house in Stone Ridge and near tourists attractions, restaurants, and hikes. House is a part of historical heritage of Stone Ridge and used to belong to a local blacksmith and possibly Mr Cooper himself who had his shop set up on the first floor. We are serious about the cleanliness and service, ready to go the extra step to make sure that guests enjoy their stay. We also keep improving and updating the place all the time.
