2 ponds and a 5.5 whole lake make up your backyard, providing visual splendor at all times right from the wall size window in the living room.
Beautiful screened-in gazebo for outdoor dining.
Full sauna right in the house.
3 kayaks and a pedal boat included, catch and release on all fish please.
Private office with two mounted monitors in the back of the house.
Last house on municipally maintained road with huge open driveway perfect for snowmobile/ ORV trailers.

I have a local property manager located in Michigamme, and in case of emergency, she is on call. I am available by phone, text, and email during your entire stay.

The house is one mile down a paved from US-41, so it is quickly accessible. But, once you turn down Ruth Lake Road, you enter a different world. Homes are acres and acres apart, and there are lakes to the right and left of you. I find it quite calming.

The road is paved all the way from US-41 to the house.

50.7 miles from Marquette`s Sawyer International Airport
Carla’s Cozy Inn 3 miles away.
Mount Shasta is 5 miles away. Similar to a Supper Club.
Michigamme Market is 5 miles away with gas and groceries.
Marquette is 45 miles away along a super scenic highway.
There are tons of restaurants and things to do.

We’re happy to host you and your furry friend—dogs are very welcome here, and there’s plenty of room for them to feel at home. We just ask that pups stay off the beds to help us keep everything fresh for all our guests. If you do prefer to have your dog sleep in the bed with you, no problem—just note there’s a $95 fee to cover the extra cleaning and care for our linens. Thanks so much for your understanding

Neat Cabin!

A Week in Heaven!

My husband, our fur baby Rocky & I had a wonderful week long stay at this lovely home. The host thought about every tiny detail to make our stay special. The home was lovely set on beautiful property. We felt at home and truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place for your next vacation.

A stunning area with lots of opportunities to enjoy the lake. The cabin has everything you could need! We enjoyed boating on the lake. The owners communicated well and were so helpful when we were a bit unprepared.

One Week Stay

We had so much fun! The property is so nice and the lake is beautiful and we caught so many fish! The house has everything you need all the necessities. The beds are so comfy and amazing to sleep in. And, the row boat is so fun to use for fishing and exploring the lake. The house is perfect for a family of four. Also, the beach in Marquette is absolutely beautiful definitely recommend. Cozy with a 50's theme

We had a great time. Cute 50's theme inside. Comfy beds. We had a fire every night - watching the sun set behind the beautiful Fall trees over the lake. Hardwood Steakhouse in Covington is excellent! It's a good location for waterfall hunting. We saw many. Amy is a great host.

Hidden Oasis

It started with our search for our next adventure and turned into a wonderful weekend. The description was spot on. Communication was clear and accurate. Check in was a breeze. This place is super clean and everything you need is there. Safe and quiet setting. Close enough to gas, restaurants and trails. Overall we loved it and are already planning a return trip.

Wonderful Getaway

My husband, father, brother-in-law, and I used this VRBO as our base on a motorcycle trip getaway and it worked out great. The location is beautiful. The house is very clean and worked well for us. It was the right distance from a number of cool things that we could go and see and do while we were there. We really enjoyed having a bonfire at the lakeside and using the sauna each night. I also brought my telescope and the stars were beautiful there at night. The host was responsive and checked in with us during our stay to make sure that everything was going okay. I would stay there again.

U.P. Heaven

There’s not much more that I can add to the already overwhelmingly positive reviews but I’ll give it a shot….. The house is comfortable, clean, well decorated. Very cool mid century design. The property is private and the view of the lake and surroundings are breathtaking. We had one of the best trips as a family here. My children, 6 and 9 loved the backyard and made great use of it!! This place is special. No doubt about it!

Great Holiday Weekend!

My partner and I spent three days at this property. The house is very clean and charming inside! The kitchen was big and easy to use. The land is beautiful, and we enjoyed taking the paddle boat out on the private lake each evening. I caught some fish from the boat too. The central location makes it easy to access much of what the UP offers, only requiring day trips. We hope to return next year!

Beautiful & Unique Home on the Water

Great stay for 4 nights. Property as described. Very clean and welcoming. Interior is a mid-century modern theme ~ very unique. Secluded and quiet area with beautiful views of the water & nature. Host checked in via messaging to see if anything was needed during our stay. Also allowed for extra time to check-out when requested. Extra amenities were available if needed. H
