The Duplex Cabin is on the Alamosa River and sleeps up to 12 guests Please note that there is no in-suite bathroom or kitchen. A bathhouse complete with 8 showers, 6 sinks & 8 toilets provide the necessary facilities. The dining hall is available for meals and fellowship. A centralized star gazing deck serves as the perfect location for a warm campfire to end the day. The AIYM Camp serves as a wonderful base camp and Christian Retreat for families wanting to recreate in the 1.8 million acre Rio Grande National Forest that surrounds the 185 acre private camp. Located just west of Terrace Reservoir Lake. Cabin rentals, RV Hookups, RV Boondocking and Tent Campsites. Day Hike, Swim, ATV, Backpack or simply relax. Additional attractions within a reasonable drive are the Great Sand Dunes National Park, whitewater rafting & Cumbres Toltac Narrow Guage Railroad.

Hi there & Welcome! We are Jim & Melony, we live much of the year in West Texas and volunteer as directors of the the Non-profit AIYM High Adventure Camp in southern Colorado. For 37 years we have lead approx. 10,000 folks on wilderness adventures in Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming and Alaska. Since 2008 we have either lead or participated in a number of Christian mission teams serving in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Texas and Colorado. Eleven years ago we took over operating the AIYM Camp. Thousands upon thousands of volunteer hours have been poured into the camp along hundreds of thousands of donor dollars. The camp is newly remodeled, clean and ready to serve families looking for the perfect base camp while recreating in the 1.8 million acre Rio Grande National Park!
