About this property

Trails Head Tiny House

Private and off-grid tiny home near the Neversink Unique Area hiking trails. This tiny house is approximately a tenth of a mile from guest parking. A marked trail to the site with trail markers for easy direction. This tiny house has solar powered WIFI and lights. This is not an insulated structure and during the winter months there is no running water. The outhouse is located about 50 feet from the tiny house.

The space
The Tiny House is located in a very private and remote location that sits next to thousands of acres of state land with beautiful hiking trails and access to the Neversink River.

Guest access
Private and easy parking with short hike down hill to the site if you are unable to drive directly to the site (NOTE: During the winter months all guests must park in the designated parking spot and hike to the site. You cannot drive as a result of the unpredictable weather)
While the hike is short, some parts are steep, so please walk slowly and take your time.
Driving to the site requires a high clearance Truck, Jeep or SUV with all wheel drive or 4-Wheel Drive ONLY.

Keypad on the front door for easy entry.

Other details to note
Unless you have an all wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle, Please DO NOT drive or attempt to drive to the tiny house site. IF you decide to drive an all wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle, it is at your own risk and the owners are not responsible for any damages. (NOTE: During the winter months all guests must park in the designated parking spot and hike to the site. You cannot drive as a result of the unpredictable weather)

Please keep in mind the WIFI and lights are solar powered, therefore we cannot always guarantee its consistency.

Please also note this site is off grid with a rain-catch water system, therefore we cannot guarantee there will always be running water.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT DRINK THIS WATER.

The outdoor shower has been updated with a hot water rain catch system. Please be conscious of your water usage, as the water for the shower is collected via a gutter system. If you run out of water in the shower you will need to wait for the next rainfall for it to collect and build back up.

During the late fall and winter months, this site will be open to winter campers who come prepared with the necessities and truly know how to winter camp. There will be no running water during this time and the solar will not work as well as it does during the summer months.

We recommend not using the electric during the daytime hours, as this helps conserve power for when you will need to use it at night.

We DO NOT provide linens so please pack accordingly

NOTE: Any early check-in or late check-out requests will require an extra fee of $20 per hour

Cozy Little House
It was very nice. Some of the amenities are not as pictured—the large water tanks are no longer connected—and some features showed wear, but overall, I loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

Amazing "glamping" getaway
This was such a lovely getaway without ALL the hassle of truly camping. The proximity to overlook and waterfall hikes was absolutely phenomenal! Brittani was super helpful and very apologetic regarding a solar panel that was broken. Luckily we are avid campers and have many lanterns + were not here to use Wifi, but to unplug :D The site is super private and we had a blast. We will be back!

Beautiful!
Great experience. Should know the bathrooms may not be very sanitary (for women during menstruation for instance). Beautiful, calm, peaceful, exactly what you want outta tiny house in the woods.

Do you want to be disconnect from the world?
A wonderful place out of everything and at the same time close to the city. Very calm place. Brittani, the host, was fantastic since the reserve day.

My name is Brittani and my husband's name is Rich, and we are slowly improving this property we were so blessed to have purchased in late 2020. My husband grew up on this property and spent countless years making irreplaceable memories. We live locally and look forward to sharing this little slice of heaven with others!

Why they chose this property

This property has been in my husband's family for generations, and we are very thankful to have been able to purchase this property in 2020. While we are slowly working to improve the property, it is very special to us, as my husband grew up here with memories that can never be replaced. We are eager to share this beautiful piece of land with people who truly appreciate and enjoy being in nature and creating memories with family and friends. We look forward to hosting our future guests and hope you enjoy this slice of paradise as much as we do!
