Perfect for Our Group!

The hosts were very thorough with providing accommodations for a comfortable stay. Nice, private patio and sufficient off-street parking. Perfect location allowed our group to walk to the riverfront shops and restaurants.

Wedding week

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding. Lots of family in and out the few days around the wedding. This place was big enough to spread out. We enjoyed grilling and swimming in the pool too! It was very calming and peaceful for a very busy time.Great communication the entire time. Highly recommend staying here

Cozy Weekend in Washington

The property is stunning and boasts beautiful wood floors, ornate wooden furniture, and old-school and new appliances. The check-in was a breeze. We had a great time and will stay here if we go to Washington again.

Awesome end to our trip

Our cycling team finished a four day trip on the Katy Trail here and were blown away by how amazing this place is! We relaxed in the pool and hot tub and felt pampered by all of the thoughtful touches we discovered everywhere we looked. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely be booking this incredible home again for our next trip through here.

Amazing weekend!

The Brick House of Washington is an excellent place for a family get together. We had a lot of fun exploring the house and town. Our children loved the pool and backyard, and we all enjoyed the games. I highly recommend the Brick House of Washington to anyone looking to relax, reconnect and experience a historical home in a historical town. What a place!

This house has it all! Kid friendly pool, games, hot tub, fenced in yard, private parking. We spent a couple of days in the City, the rest of the days enjoying the River, the shops and the location. Right next door is a great restaurant and down the street is the coffee shop. We loved the spacious rooms and stocked kitchen. Such historical charm! Great correspondence, we even got an early check in!

Oktoberfest with friends

Perfect property for a group of 6 couples! The hot tub, patio and firepit were a hit. Living room and dining room are great for hanging out. Bedrooms and baths are well equipped, missing no details. Location nearby locally owned shops, restaurants and hangouts. Our group had a fantastic time at the Brick House! Recommended.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

This was the perfect home for 6 girls weekend getaway! We all had our own beds. We stayed up late playing games and hanging out next to the bonfire on a perfect fall evening. Everything is in walking distance. The amenities that were provided are top notch!! I own several vacation rentals myself and this exceeded our expectations! We will be back!

She’s A Brickhouse

This was a quick trip for our crew. We had a few days training back at our headquarters in Washington. This house was great plenty of space for everyone very nice amenities. Everyone had their own room and bathroom!! They had. A lot of fun games in the dinning area, which even grown men enjoyed figuring out. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. Also, close to 3 really great restaurants, one literally 31 paces from front door. We will be back next time when the pool is open!! Thank you for the great place to lay our heads.

Historic feel with modern amenities

This beautiful historic property is furnished with an ecletic mixture of furniture and finishes. We were all impressed by the comfortable beds and well chosen appointments like phone chargers on nightstands. The large kitchen and spacious diningroom were perfect for our grouo of ten. Every room was well stocked for travelers. We loved all the games. The outdoor area was wonderful too. I have rented many houses across the US and this one ranks with the best. Doug and Lisa were gracious hosts and easy to work with.

You Had Us at Pool!!

When our family reunion was scheduled, we started looking early as we no longer have the ability to stay with our Washington family as they have all downsized. The minute we saw the photos of this beautiful home with a pool and hot tub, that was all it took to immediately book it! Not many places can accommodate six adults and six children comfortably but the Brick House did and then some! The location can't be beat-we walked around town, had the ability to order groceries from Wal Mart, the restaurant next door was awesome, king size beds galore, two kitchens, four bathrooms, all well stocked with essentials, but the fact that the pool and hot tub entertained the kids so that the adults were able to just sit outside and relax and visit just made our stay here unbeatable! Thank you for everything and we hope to see you again next year!

Amazing place to share with family

We absolutely loved staying. Plenty to keep busy and plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is well-stocked with dishes. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash and more than ample amount of towels. Beds are super comfy! The details Doig and Lisa put into the home are above and beyond, aside from being lovely hosts. We did a family NYE, the kids and adults all had fun with the games provided, sitting around the fire pit, hanging out in the hot tub and watching movies. Lots of streaming services were provided on the living room TV (we didn’t watch TV in the bedrooms so unsure of those). We also took a walk down to the riverfront, learned some Washington history and had lunch. The house was still decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. Thank you for everything!!

Beautiful House!!! Great location!!!

Our girls weekend was fabulous and the group loved this house!!! Having King size beds for everyone to share with their bed mates was so comfy!!! The house has great character and is beautifully furnished. Everyone commented on the decor and overall aesthetics of the house. The location is great! It is easily accessible to local restaurants we enjoyed lunch at Marquart’s Landing just a short drive from the house and celebrated a 50th birthday with dinner at Tilted Skillet right next door. The patio was great for after dinner drinks!!! The kitchen/dining room was perfect for our in house meals. Everyone gathered in the kitchen at the snack bar for breakfasts as people took turns getting ready for a trip across the river to the wineries. We enjoyed dinner in the dining room, with plenty of seating for a group dinner. Parking was great for the guests and worked out perfect for Top Shelf shuttle to pick us up right at the house. We loved this house and are definitely considering returning in the summer months skipping the winery and just spending the day chilling poolside. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area,

Formerly known as the Brick Rose Beds and Donuts, Tarah set out to craft the perfect travel destination in the heart of Washington, MO, wine country.

As someone who spent her childhood enjoying her visits to small town Washington, Missouri, Tarah transformed the Brick Rose Beds and Donuts into the perfect vacation rental.

A formerly hidden gem in the world of vacation rentals, too many shrubs and trees kept this beautiful home from being seen for far too long! Tarah revamped the property and gave it the love it deserved. She fully restored the house to the original beauty and then some!

A fun fact provided by Tarah - this homes' Studio, was previously used for fifty years as a veterinary office by two different veterinary doctors!
