Escape the Cold

We stayed for with our kids for 2 weeks and had a great time, the condo was clean and well stocked and in a great location, would highly recommend it and would stay there again for sure.

This was a great spot for our family vacation! We loved the placed, the amenities, and the surrounding location. The place was very comfortable for all of us and we enjoyed the ground floor patio with the view of the ocean. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on The Big Island!

Beautiful Views!

Our family loved the condo. It was such a pretty property! Seeing all the views from the back patio and enjoying the pool made the trip so nice! Our kids loved the shallow areas of the pool. It was also nice that the pool had its own restaurant attached. We appreciated all the beach accessories, it made our packing much lighter!

Perfect spot in paradise

This home was clean and so nicely decorated and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed, and beds, & furniture were comfy. It was nice to sit on lanai and watch the sunset. We used some of the beach gear in the garage, which was really helpful. Wish we had had more days there!

A beautiful stay in Paradise

This 3 bedroom condo was perfect for us. It was clean and full of bright sun and great views. Everything you need is here. It’s like a luxury hotel. Everything is included except food and drink. We loved it.

Perfect family friendly place

House was large, very clean, great managers who were easy to get in touch with and made things super easy in terms of check in and check out. Even fixed a light that didn’t work when we arrived. All information needed to get into the house and s settled was provided. Check in process at the resort didn’t happen for a couple of days because of inconvenient office hours but they were so nice and worked with us so it wasn’t a problem.

Hali’i Kai in Waikoloa Village, Hawai’i

We stayed at this property earlier this summer and enjoyed it. It is a great location. The unit is clean, bright and comfortable. The views are great. You can see the ocean from the master bedroom and out on the patio lounge. We stayed for about 1.5 weeks and ran out of toiletries mid-way through. We emailed the property management in the evening and they responded soon after, the same noght. The next day restock was left at the front door. They are very attentive and expressed a desire to ensure that we had no issues and everything with the property was to our satisfaction. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again or to recommend this property to another guest.

Fantastic condo; only a couple misses

This condo is fantastic. It is in a very nice gated community just north of a huge Hilton resort right on the coast. There are only two minuses: the gated community has a beautiful pool and a nice fitness center. There is also a bar/resterurant. The minuses are that it is a bit of a hike from the condo to the pool. I'd say a 7 minute walk. Then the bar has expensive and bad drinks and they won't let you bring your own alcohol to the pool. The only other problem was that you have to check in and pay a 25 a day resort fee before you go to your condo. If this was communicated to me before I arrived I overlooked it. However, overall a very nice place.

Great condo

We stayed here over Easter week with my parents and my teenage son. The place was immaculate, modernly decorated and had everything we needed. Even though the unit was on the ground floor, the place was bright and airy. The kitchen was very well equipped; it had an airfryer, made-in-Japan rice cooker (the one sold at Costco), and myriad of condiments and some board games. The garage had lots of snorkeling gear, 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas and a few boogie boards. My husband and I enjoyed working out at the club house in the morning, overcooking the ocean. One potential downside is that the club house is very strict about kids goofing around the pool. My son along with his cousins (who were staying at other units in Hali'i Kai) did not feel welcome to hang out by the pool and throw water balls or just be teenagers. My husband and I were fine just laying around pool area. We would stay here again. Loved how we can watch the sunset right from the lanai!

Great for families

We booked our stay based on the recommendation of family who come to Hali’i Kai every year and it did not disappoint! We looked at several units for our dates but this unit stuck out with the updated decor. The furnishings were airy and beautiful, the kitchen had everything you might need, the beds were very comfortable, and rooms spacious for a large family. I appreciated the calm simplicity of the condo as I have young boys and usually have to spend time picking up and hiding tchotchkes so they are not accidentally broken! The unit itself is very close to the putting green and sport courts which was nice for our 9 year old to walk across the street and take advantage of. It is also a short walk to the pool and restaurant. I would agree with another reviewer that there are certain times where the employees (bartender especially) seem extra strict about any sort of play at the pool, our first night was this way and we were worried it would be a long week keeping the kids away or silent at the pool. However at other times it did not seem a problem. All in all it is an excellent place to stay and we hope to be back again soon!

Amazing condo with perfect location!

We stayed in the property for Spring Break. My husband and I and two teenagers had the most amazing time. The condo is absolute perfection. The furnishings and decor are high end and thoughtful. What I really appreciated is that the kitchen/cooking set up had everything that we needed and it was all very high quality and in good working order. The location was a dream. My husband and I made coffee every morning and sat on the patio looking at the water and the golfers. We walked into the little village area for more coffee on the manicured, resort paths. It was very safe and the teenagers were able to go off exploring on their own without any worries. The suggestions for beaches and activities were on point. This property is very close to the most beautiful beaches. Everything we needed for the beach was thoughtfully provided. We did not use the pool area as much, since we are "beach" people, but we did go one afternoon and it was fantastic. We also went up to pool/hangout area for happy hour and for dinner one night. We were very close to all activities. We went down to Kona several times for boat excursions and it was very accessible. I really did not know what to expect, since I had not been to this island since I was a kid. The property and its surroundings exceeded my expectations in every way. We travel a lot and this is one of the nicest condos I have visited. I highly, highly recommend. We did call the Vacasa rep with a question one time and they were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for allowing us to experience this wonderful property. We will visit again!

Just the perfect place to relax in

Such a lovely and spacious place with an ocean view from the lanai! We loved that we could pick up some shrimp from Costco and grill it, have an excellent dinner and watch the sunset just from the patio. This 3 bedroom condo is just so so nice. Clean. Spacious. Plenty of amenities.In agreement with what I saw others write: The beds are excellent and we all slept well (and I have a bad back so this was super important to me). They stocked the kitchen with so many thoughtful appliances and things including a rice cooker and toaster oven. Lots of spices and even some olive oil. We especially appreciated the zip lock bags to store food in. A/C kept the place perfect. Places on the first floor in Hawaii can tend to have to fight cockroaches and ants but they clearly have a pest control well up to date as we had no issues. They even had a goody basket waiting for us. And we had a ton to watch on the tv for the one night we stayed in. Hubby was so pleased I found such a nice place and our teens loved it too. We even had tennis rackets and pickle ball rackets to play on the court (which we did one morning). The proximity to Queens Marketplace means there is an ABC store where you can pick up some pre made food and make breakfast easy before leaving on an Adventure. Queens Marketplace shops also have the better restaurants in the area and we also liked the food court. Of course there is also Kings Shopping Center and then the hotels also have restaurants. So you have a lot of choices for this area. But it was a lovely place to be and relax or just launch off to Mauna Kea or Volcano National Park or just the local beaches. Lots of towels to use too. Thank you for such a great place! Highly recommend.

Beautifully appointed vacation rental!

This unit was not only beautifully decorated, but well-stocked with all the essentials we needed for a wonderful stay (including basic kitchen supplies, spices, all the appliances you could need, and even basic toiletries!). The building location meant we were a quick walk along to grass to the pool/clubhouse. Unlike some of the buildings slightly closer to the clubhouse, the lanai of this unit had more shade in the late afternoon/evenings, which meant we could enjoy the unobstructed ocean views at sunset without melting. Furniture was all in excellent conditions and the beds were extremely comfortable. If this unit is available for your trip, snag it while you can!

From booking to check-out, this rental was great! The property is nice but the rental condition and the service provided by the host is unmatched. The unit came with everything we needed; a fully stocked kitchen (cookware, plate ware, spices and seasonings, food storage), bbq unit with supplies, more than enough linens, pool and beach supplies and AMAZING beds! We loved the beds so much, our host even made sure to give us the purchase information so we could purchase the same ones. Communication was always appropriate and quick - our host sure did go above and beyond. We will be back to stay here again because our first stay was so great!

Great stay

Hali’I Kai 8E was very clean and comfortable. All the amenities were thoughtfully provided. Beds were comfortable. We had amazing views of the greens and the ocean with gorgeous sunset every night. The pool, food, and drinks at the Ocean Club were enjoyable. Only wished there were umbrellas at the poolside. All together we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and will definitely consider staying in this unit again.

Wonderful!
