Great week!

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is great with beautiful views of the lake. We went kayaking and lounged by the pool. There was plenty of space for us and the kitchen is perfect for all your cooking needs. Communication was quick and smooth. We had an amazing time!

Everything you can want in a Lake house

The home is very well equipped from the kitchen to the dock with Kayaks and paddles and life vests. The beds are very comfortable. The owners were very responsive to our concerns and issues. Our family of 12 enjoyed our stay and hope to return. You may want to bring some pool/lake towels with you. The owners assured us they were adding some more bathroom towels, a flashlight and extra blankets as that was what we had found we needed during our stay.

Easter Gathering

All had a good time. The weather wasn't cooperative, but all in all a good trip. A few more steps than I thought. If you have elderly people in your group it may be challenging. The views from the dock, upper deck, and hammock were fabulous. The manager was easy to work with and responded to concerns in a timely manner.

Great stay

Was a great stay. Oven was not clean at all. And fire alarm kept going off when we cooked. Smell of bleach in the master. Lights outside downstairs didn’t work nor did the TV. We did a lot of fishing. Caught a 26’ catfish. I tried to reach the owner about the issues and no response.

Family gathering

Great time with family at Macon Waves on Labor Day weekend. Plenty of space inside and out for everyone to enjoy being together yet have alone time when they wanted. Loved bringing our boat and using the boat lift and dock. Explored the cove on the kayaks. Pool was a nice break in the heat of the afternoons. Made s'mores in the fire pit at night. Favorite part of the day was coffee on the boathouse upper deck in the mornings. Thank you for providing a place for so many memories to be made! Only suggestion is to bring blankets and hand soap along for your stay. :-)

Nice Lake Vacay

We had a great week staying at Macon Waves. The house was nice for our number of guests, 8 adults, 3 children. The pool is nice & adequate. The boat house is nice with a refrigerator, life jackets, paddles, etc. The deck of the boat house has nice lounging chairs. Keep in mind there is one full bath in basement for 3 bedrooms. A full bath for the master on first floor & a full bath for Queen on 2nd floor. Half bath on 1st floor. The owner/manager was responsive when I reached out a couple of times. I also made a few suggestions for the house after our stay which was well received.

KMEC family vacation

House was nice. Grounds were tired. The refrigerator froze a lot of our food and beverage. The pool deck was not blown clean. I paid for an early check in and cleaners were still there for an additional hour after our arrival. No umbrella or table for pool deck. Many chairs at dock were broken/safely concern. The VRBO website was not user friendly to navigate. Would get messages with no way to reply. Unfortunately, not your problem but we had to leave a day early due to family emergency- my mom died Monday morning

Very nice relaxing place to stay with an excellent view of the lake.

Enjoyed our stay very much. We had a 1 year old and was concerned with the open area to go downstairs. Also, could have used another bathroom downstairs. All in all, it was a great time and the first in three years for all of us to be together. We are thankful!

The entire weekend was awesome! The home was everything I wanted and asked for! The privacy that I was looking for was offered. This home's location meets the need for privacy and quietness. I will definitely book again! Oh, and the amenities were everything we needed! My husband and family enjoyed time at the pool table! A very great addition, ad well as the fire pit! The weekend was much cooler than we had wanted so we didn't enjoy the heated pool. Next time, we will definitely take a swim!

Lake Gaston stands as a premier East Coast lake, established in 1962 as part of a power project. Abundant with aquatic life, the lake hosts Blue Catfish, Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Gar, and Chain Pickerel.

Covering over 20,000 acres, Lake Gaston boasts high-quality water, spanning approximately one and a half miles in width at its lower end, with a shoreline extending over 350 miles. Maintaining a normal height of 200 feet above sea level, the lake remains consistent, except in cases of emergency.
