Spontaneous get away

Great stay! Comfortable space and as cute as it is online. Our host was so easy to communicate with and proactively reached out to make sure we were comfortable. Would stay again!

A lovely home to celebrate and relax with friends

Myself and two friends thoroughly enjoyed our 11 relaxing days at this classic mid century- modern home in a very nice neighborhood of Palm Springs. Cerise was a wonderful host, and very accomodating whenever i had a request. The property manager Craig offered to greet us upon arrival, but we chose to self- check in (since we were arriving late) so he kindly turned on the lights and we arrived to a warm and cozy home! He also quickly responded when we needed propane for the grill, or to make sure the pool was heating up. The spa was so easy to operate- just push the remote control button- and it was fully heated in under 20 mins. The backyard was just a heavenly oasis- and it's where we spent most of our time. Inside, the kitchen had everything we could need- including coffee and multiple ways to make it! We appreciated having all the paper towels, organic soap /shampoo / conditioner and other supplies we could need. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept in many mornings. 😴 Overall, Cerise's modern retreat provided the perfect homebase for enjoying a mix of fun, sun, food and easy access to all that Palm Springs has to offer. It was the perfect way to celebrate my 50 birthday!

WARNING: Lengthy Review

We booked Cerise's place for our mom's 80th bday party. Our stay started off rocky 9 days prior to our arrival, after I reached out via VRBO asking for some items for our party. Cerise quickly responded that the place does not have the items which was fine but then, within minutes of her reply, I received a separate personal text from her. She reiterated not having the items, then additionally mentioned that there would be an extra charge for pool heating. This came as a surprise to us because the original VRBO description listed a "heated pool" & did not have extra charges for pool heat mentioned anywhere. I had assumed it was all calculated into the final cost, as her place was on the higher end of the price spectrum when comparing listings. This discrepancy has now been updated but VRBO warns about communicating only through their platform & to be wary of anyone communicating outside of VRBO asking for extra funds, so this was not a great start! Cerise eventually admitted the mistake on her original listing but instead of quickly resolving the discrepancy by comping the "new" heating fee she continued to ask for money to cover heating costs. She ultimately decided not to charge for the pool heat. Also the guestbook is outdated, listing a different cost for the pool! While we appreciated the quick responses, we didn’t appreciate the constant back & forth due to the many other issues that could have been solved by having done a thorough walk-through prior to our stay.

Would book again!

Stayed at this house for a girls weekend and it was a great spot. It’s about 10 min from town by Uber which is convenient. The backyard was also very nice! The owner is very nice and responsive.
