This 2021-built ranch-style home pairs upscale finishes with relaxed coastal style — cathedral ceilings, 8-ft doorways, and an open, airy layout filled with natural light. Three king suites give every couple privacy, with one suite adding a double Murphy bed and another offering twin bunk beds, so the whole family (up to 10) sleeps comfortably.

Step outside to your private heated saltwater pool (open year-round) and spa, a screened porch with Gulf sunset views, and an expansive deck overlooking the island's small airstrip — a charming, quiet part of North Captiva life. No bridge. No cars. No crowds. Accessible only by ferry, private boat, or small plane, North Captiva is Old Florida unspoiled — dolphins offshore, herons in the mangroves, sea turtles in season. Days are for shelling, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and golf-cart adventures; evenings are for sunset skies and time together without distractions. It's built for family reunions.

The island is unbridged, so you'll arrive by ferry (advance booking required), private boat, or small plane — transportation is arranged separately. Our local property manager meets you at the dock, helps with luggage and groceries, and gives a quick home and island orientation. Please share your arrival details in advance.

We take your security seriously. This property has local compliance requirements: a signed rental agreement and ID verification. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property. The house was very clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It easily accommodated our group, and the communication with the property manager was excellent from start to finish. They were responsive, helpful, and made the entire process smooth. We had no issues during our stay and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

This was our third stay in North Captiva and this house was by far the best! Everything was great, to the amenities, cleanliness, and communication. Being next to the air strip was definitely a bonus. The location to everything was perfect.

This was a very nice property and overall great experience! The owners were very easy to get ahold of and the property manager was very helpful on both arrival and departure… our vacation could not have gone smoother and my kids did not want to leave.

It was an AMAZING week from start to finish. The communication prior to arrival was extremely informative. We were met by a smile as we arrived on Captiva Island. Wow! What a house!

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The house has pretty much everything you need. Outside it has a swimming pool, hot tub, ping pong table, bean bags, hammocks, paddle boards, chairs, flat top grill, and umbrellas for the beach. The inside was amazing with a full kitchen. If we ever comeback to North Captiva, Tortuga Sunset will be at the top of our list!

Wonderful Stay @ Tortuga Sunset

Our stay at Tortuga Sunset was amazing! The house is exactly as described and was absolutely perfect! Our teenagers were hardly ever out of the pool and hot tub and the pool was nice and cool after a long beach day. Watching the planes and helicopters take off and land was a highlight for the whole family. Can’t imagine a better location on the island - staying next to the airstrip was fabulous! Great sunset views from the balcony and also enjoyed having a cup of coffee in the mornings while looking out at the ocean from my coffee spot in the dining room! Seeing the gopher tortoises around the island was so fun and definitely one of our favorite parts! Loved watching them munching on the grass and plants. Beaches were quiet and beautiful and there is exceptional shelling at the end of the road the house is on. We are avid shellers and have found both a Junonia and Scotch Bonnet on that beach which made our day! The owner was happy to answer any questions we had and it’s obvious how much they love & care for their home - it has everything you need! We spent a couple of rainy days doing puzzles and reading while still enjoying the setting. Shally’s property management was also great and there to pick us up and take us back to the ferry. 10/10 for the stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Favorite House on the Island

This was our third time staying on North Captiva, and life the first two times we loved every minute of our stay. But this time was different, it was better and it was this house that made the difference! From its location, to the layout of the house we absolutely loved it! The pool a d spa were a huge hit for everyone! The spa heater worked very well, unlike other homes that we have stayed at. Shally’s grocery service was amazing and worth every penny of the fee! We will never do it any other way. Arriving after a long day of travel to find the fridge and pantry stocked with food was a very comforting. This is a wonderful home for a family with kids or up to three couples(each room has a minimum a nice king bed). The open layout of the common areas makes time together intimate, while the room layout makes you feel like you have the place all to yourself. I recommend this place to my family and friends and whoever else wants to visit the island. Oh, and the golf cart was amazing! It was like driving a limo, we road around the island in comfort and style.
