Completely renovated, air conditioned cottage close to the beach. Dog friendly.

This property has something for the whole family to enjoy. A large wrap-around porch, screened in dining area on side porch. Outdoor seating and grill make outdoor living enjoyable, while a spacious living room, full kitchen, cable TV, DVD and game closet make indoor living fun as well. The basement was finished in 2024 with additional living area and TV. Beautiful blue stone patio in the back which is private and perfect for evening cocktails or dinner or just lounging and reading a book. Located at the end of Oak Bluffs' main street on Penacook Ave (the website map is incorrect), there is easy access to amazing shopping and many dining options without a lot of noise and congestion. Down the street is the famous Inkwell Beach perfect for an afternoon nap, or a full day of sun and surf. Public transportation and bike paths all over the island make cars convenient but not necessary, and beautiful scenery makes walking pleasant as well. Oak Bluffs offers the best of the Island from the famous Mad Martha's Ice Cream, Black Dog Store, Giordano's Italian Restaurant, and Flying Horses Carousel. An arcade and night clubs offer many entertainment options, and water sport rentals offer fun filled days on Martha's Vineyard for everyone. PLEASE NOTE LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED

Memorial Day weekend stay

I had a great stay with my dad and our dogs for MDW. The house was clean with lots of amenities. We enjoyed evenings on the enclosed porch. The location was perfect and so close to all the shops and restaurants of oak bluffs. We walked the dogs around the neighborhood and it was adorable, so close to the beach and the famous gingerbread houses. Would stay again!

Luxurious Stay close to Town Center

This cottage was amazing! The renovations made to the home were top notch. The main floor is open and roomy, and the bathrooms and kitchen were remodeled with high end finishes. Beds were all comfy, and you can't beat the proximity to shops and restaurants = all within walking distance. We would stay here again in a heart beat.

We loved the house. It was within walking distance of everything in Oak Bluffs and right there off Circuit Ave. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our family got a lot of use out of the porch rockers and hammock. This was probably the best overall VRBO property we have rented over the years.

Perfect place to end the summer!

Everything about our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Mary's home is beautiful and has everything you need for a fun and relaxing trip. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfy, and the entire home has great lighting. Our favorite thing was the screened-in-porch where we enjoyed many delicious meals. The location was perfect-close to everything but in a nice quiet spot. Mary was always very responsive to any question that we had. We hope to stay there again!

Wonderful, convenient home!

We loved this home! We have been going to the Vineyard for the past 5 years, and this house was the most convenient and charming of all! We loved being steps off of Circuit Avenue, and the house is warm and comfortable. There's plenty of space for a family and the house is well taken care of by the owners. The beach is only a short walk away and the house has beach chairs and coolers for convenience. The best part is sitting on the beautiful porch and relaxing with family!

Great place for a family vacation

We had a lovely time at this house. We have stayed on island in Oak Bluffs before and were pleased with this location and all that the house has to offer. It is a great bonus that things like beach chairs and coolers were available for usage. Mary Alane was very responsive and easy to work with. The air conditioning was a great bonus especially on 80 degree day with a 2 month old. We will be back!

We totally loved renting this vacation cottage. It has a great location to everything you would like to do in oak bluffs No car is necessary when staying in this location. The home has recently been updated, the kitchen is awesome. I absolutely loved sitting on the front porch. I will definitely rent this home again . We did tour the whole island and Oak Bluffs is definitely my favorite community on Martha’s Vineyard. If you don’t want to get involved in the summer crowd at Martha’s Vineyard the fall is the perfect time to visit.

Late summer vacation 2021

The home has a wonderful open living space and great outdoor areas also. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktail or just letting the time go by. The screened porch made an ideal spot for meals and was great to just sit, read or do a puzzle. The kitchen is well equipped, double ovens and microwave. The location of the home makes it easy to walk to town or the beach. Many wonderful restaurants nearby to enjoy. Morning walks up and around the beach with my dogs was a great way to start each day to check out the beautiful sunrise over Inkwell beach

My wife, kids and I were visiting the Vineyard for my wife's birthday. We've rented over a dozen different properties on the island over the years. This house was absolutely perfect for our stay. We love Oak Bluffs, and the house is just off Circuit Ave, walking distance to everything. The house is super charming, and the entire interior was recently renovated. The house was clean, inviting, and has everything you need for a great stay on the island. Also, the host, Mary, was very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. We would be happy to stay here again in the future!
