Beautiful Waterfront Setting with air conditioning, comfortable beds and good kitchen items; hosts were very responsive. Kyaks and paddle boards a plus.
The house and property were delightful - well laid out, exceptionally clean, and provided an excellent place to relax & unwind with many features and amenities. Sunset's were breathtaking and the view of/across the canal was awesome. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and we enjoyed the hot tub, firepit, kayak - and the fresh eggs daily. We had an amazing three days and will certainly be back!

Doug, thank you so much for the very positive review. You were mindful and considerate to the property and returned the house clean. I appreciate that!
I’m happy that you like your experience at our property and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future!
Maily was very responsive and considerate. Prior to the trip I mentioned my daughter was injured and upon arrival she surprises her with a card, flower and popcorn, very sweet of her. The house was super clean, the beds are very comfortable. The view is amazing. Kids also had a blast checking on the eggs from the chicken coop. We really enjoy the stay. Thanks, Maily.
My husband , and my three adult daughters and two of their spouses and I came for a weekend of fun and family and a wedding. We all throughly enjoyed this lovely hood Canal home. It was fun picking oysters from the beach and poping them on the BBQ for lunch and we enjoyed fresh eggs from the resident chickens for breakfast. The property was well equipped with water toys and even had a fire pit stocked with firewood for a lovely sunset campfire on the hood canal. Thank you for making our stay so nice!
We had a wonderful time enjoying the Salish Sea in our backyard. Property is roomy, private and peaceful. Views of the Olympics and turquoise blue water were highly enjoyable. I brought my 20 foot boat on trailer and was able to easily park with truck, across the street in hanger. Master bedroom is very comfortable, one other room upstairs was nice also, and the third "bedroom" is a converted open loft area without fully enclosing fourth wall.

Thank you for the feedback, Scott! I felt a bit uneasy not having a buoy for your boat but thank you for making it work with the hangar. We’ll look into having that buoy… Would love to be able to host you and your friends again!
We wish we could attach photos. We would wholeheartedly encourage all browsers to book immediately! We have never encountered better hosts, and we were sad to have to leave. This restorative, peaceful, spectacular house, and its kind owners will stay with us for years to come. <3

It has certainly been a pleasure hosting you and your family! Thank you for taking care of the home and also the chickens ❤️🙏. Hope we can see you all back again.
This home exceeded our expectations. The views from every level were breathtaking. There were plenty of activities for everyone, from kayaking to paddle boarding. You will also see a family of otters swim by daily!
The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was welcoming and accommodating. She was readily available for any questions or concerns. She even provided us with fishing poles! We didn’t catch any fish but there were plenty of oysters and clams on the private beach. The chickens also provided fresh eggs every morning. This vacation was one for the books. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Great View, But Some Big Issues
We rented this property for a weekend and were unfortunately disappointed. First, the hot tub - a big selling point for the listing - was not only not ready for us, but broken and unrepairable during our stay. The fancy electric blinds were challenging to operate and didn’t function properly on many of the windows and over the screen door. All the beds are double beds, and the mattress in the guest house is the lumpiest, most uncomfortable mattress we’ve ever slept on. The kitchen didn’t come with a toaster or coffee maker, and there was no binder of information on the house and how things work and check out information - we actually didn’t get checkout info until after we’d left. The view is lovely, the fire pit is great, and you can harvest shellfish right in front of the house, which is pretty cool. The property owners were easy to reach out to and responsive, but didn’t provide much info in advance and you can tell this is a new rental.

Hi Lindsay,
As we texted, my goal is always to provide guests with the best experience possible, and I welcome comments/criticisms from guests to drive our business better and continue to make improvements. However, please be accurate and fair in leaving reviews since it can give other guests inaccuarate view of our property.
**Three (3) of our beds in the main bedrooms are queen size (which is wider and longer than full size) plus there is a queen size sofa bed. Only the bed in the guest house is full size (you wrote that “all beds are full beds”, this is not accurate).
**We listed each and every amenity available at the house on our listing, from rooms to beds, to kitchen amenities so that our guests will know what to expect (other guests have confirmed this accuracy not only on Vrbo but also Airbnb and we are proud of it!).
**While there was no toaster, we provide a multi-function air-fryer and also a panini maker that can easily make toasts (4 slides at a time). There was a K-cup coffee maker and we provided the coffee. There is a long list of other extra amenities but there is no need to list them if you did not use them.
**Regarding the hot tub, we regret it became unusable as a member in your group followed our instructions to drain it and broke off the hose. It was not broken prior to your arrival. We did make calls trying to get people out to fix it but given it was the New year holiday weekend, we could not get it fixed immediately/ during your stay.
**The electric blinds come with manual function so they are operable and can be used as most manual blinds.
**I could not provide additional refund as you requested because your booking was already at discount (please note what the original rate was). However we provided additional accommodations such as for you to have additional visitors, and moving check out time from 11:00am to 1:00pm (as you requested). In the end, the front door camera/lock history showed your group’s actual leaving time was at 2pm. This is 3 hours later than our normal check-out time, at no cost to you.
** I have not seen the need to create check-out ínstructions, I redundantly asked for your help to turn down the heaters and turn off lights when the front door camera showed that you were still at the house.
Your idea on having a physical binder in addition to the instructions in my welcome notes seems helpful! Thank you for also noting my effort in communication, what you enjoyed about the property, and that I’m a new host which is true. I will fully take this as a learning experience . There is always room to improve.
Regards,
This is a beautiful property inside and out! We stayed here with family and friends and there was space for all. We enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks as well as the oysters and clams. There are a lot of stairs in the house, so be aware. Overall, the house is just beautiful and we found everything we needed.
