Our cabin is offered to those who truly want to get away from it all. Cell service at the cabin is very limited and there is no internet. The cabin does offer peace, solitude and an escape from everyday life. The cabin is located 1000 feet off the road, there is 120 volt electric supplied by solar so the cabin is completely off grid. Water is potable. The stove is propane and the kitchen has a refrigerator. Located on 250+ acres, the property boarders on 2 sides 6000 acres of NYS forest land. The property is a managed tree farm. Also, there are 2 beaver ponds, one being just over 1 acre the other 3 acres, the cabin overlooks a 1 acre pond. There are large mouth bass, perch, black crappie and sunfish in the various ponds. We practice catch and release to maintain the populations of fish. The property also offers several miles of trails that are maintained. Angelica is about 7 miles away, Alfred is about 8 miles away and the property is located about 15 minutes from I 86.

My college friends of 45 years and I stayed at this fantastic property this past weekend! It is log cabin on a large piece of land that looks out over a lovely, clear pond. We spent lots of time outside sitting in the Adirondack chairs visiting and enjoying the autumn beauty. We also took long walks in the woods and made great meals together. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to cook. The cabin has a wood stove that keeps it nice and warm. There is plenty of wood. available. The beds are cozy and comfortable. The driveway is perfect for a shorter walk with a large pond on one side and a working beaver pond on the other side. It is fun to explore! The foliage was gorgeous. We all felt so lucky to have a wonderful, quiet weekend together at this special property. Great find!!

Thank you so much! We enjoyed having you stay with us and you are welcome back anytime. You left the cabin spotless! We are happy to share our little slice of paradise with people who appreciate the surroundings and good friendships.
Five stars right back to you!
As much as I don't want to complete for bookings (because I will DEFINITELY be returning,) the hosts deserve to read how thankful we are that they shared this rare gem with us. The photos don't do the location justice; it is peace and serenity through and through. The property is sprawling and remote. The cabin was a well-appointed space, fire-warmed with everything we needed in the kitchen, some board games and Blu Rays for the times it was sprinkling out. Our hosts had left helpful notes in every room. The true highlight is just walking the grounds surrounded by breathtaking scenery or sitting on the Adirondack chairs with a coffee looking out at the pond. We never left the property during our long weekend. Our dog and kids were in heaven exploring. Communication with the hosts was great, and necessary because of the remote nature of the cabin; it is worth the dirt roads! You can tell that they take great pride in their listing. Book this stay, you won't regret it!

Kelly and family, we are honored that you were our first guests and we will be forever spoiled! YOU were fabulous! You left the cabin spotless and just as we left it for you. Thank you for the wonderful review. You and your family are welcome back next year. We look forward to sharing our little slice of serenity with you.
What a gem! It is an immersion into solitude, wildlife and nature!
It was an inviting scene upon pulling up to the cabin - a fire ready to be lit in the fire pit, with chairs circled around, the porch with decorative lighting and Adirondack chairs beckoning us to rock in them as we gazed out over the beautiful clear pond. If it was summer, we would have jumped in!
The cabin has a wonderful ambiance with a woodburning stove which already had a fire burning when we arrived! The beds were VERY comfortable with plenty of blankets. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, condiments, snacks and there is no lack of utensils, pots, pans and dishes!
Hiking trails are right out the back door.
There were plenty of DVD's to choose from. Hammocks if you want rest outside and stare at the clouds. What a wonderfully relaxing thought!
It is obvious that Leslie and Gary have taken great thought and care in attending to the details to ensure their guests are able to fully relax and enjoy their stay.
I know we did!
Thank you Leslie and Gary! We will be back!!!

This listing is everything as described and so much more. The cabin is rustic but provides all the creature comforts for someone who doesn’t want to truly “rough it.” The level of detail the owners put into their instructions and notes throughout the cabin made settling in and getting comfortable effortless. The level of communication was unmatched by any other property we have ever stayed at. While the cozy cabin was just what we expected based on the pictures, the property is truly where this listing shines. Pictures do not do it justice. The moment you turn into the driveway the stress just melts away. Mornings were spent sipping coffee in the Adirondack chairs, taking lazy walks around the pond and doing a little fishing from the dock. Afternoons meant exploring the acreage as well as the surrounding state land. Hiking options are endless and we didn’t encounter a soul until venturing to Palmers Pond. We were blessed with warm enough weather that swims in the pond were refreshing for both man and man’s best friend. Evening dinners were a breeze with the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. During the early evening we would head out to look for beaver activity which did not disappoint! Everything about our trip exceeded our expectations and we have already booked a return trip. I don’t know who is looking forward to it more, us, or our dog!
