The property was wonderful. The inside was beautifully decorated and had such a cozy atmosphere. The property is down at the bottom of a steep gravel road so having a four-wheel-drive vehicle is preferred. My husband and I hope to be able to visit this cabin again. We loved it so much.

We visited mid-October for a milestone birthday when the fall colors were in full force and absolutely loved being nestled in the heart of all the foliage up on Beech Mountain in this amazing house. We were traveling with six kids aged 2-11 as well as a dog and found Lazy Bear on Beech to be extremely well-equipped to meet our family’s needs. There was a high chair, both ceramic and plastic place settings (needed the plastic ones for the littlest guys, we usually bring our own just in case!), toys and games, and plenty of cozy beds and seating. The younger kids loved playing the big yard game on the upper deck and the older ones loved playing foosball and going in the hot tub down below. Laundry was awesome to have on site, and the pantry even had a lot of nice extras - a well-appointed spice rack and a great cabinet of kitchen staples. It was so nice being able to use a little of this and that without having to go out and buy full sizes of each item. Overall we loved it, can’t say enough good things!

Lazy Bear on Beech

This home was amazing! It was the perfect size for my family. The back patio with a fireplace was a blast to gather around and we all enjoyed some time in the hot tub. I loved the space between homes, we had a lot of privacy. The owners are very responsive and helpful. My family stayed in their home during Christmas and they were very accommodating. I look forward to planning another stay in this home!

Beautiful house! Very clean!!

This rental property is awesome. My family and I enjoyed staying here. It’s one of the best houses we’ve ever rented. It was very clean ! I am a very picky person as to where I stay. I would give this house a 5 star rating! Nichole was very quick to respond if I had a question. The house had lots of extras, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook with. I highly recommend this house. My family and I will definitely be back!

Perfect fall mountain getaway

We had a wonderful stay here with our family and friends! 6 adults and 3 toddlers and we all had plenty of room. It is a beautiful new home with a lot of thoughtful touches. There are plenty of towels and extra blankets, a well equipped kitchen, an abundance of TVs, and plenty of seating inside and out. We loved using both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Our group wanted to mostly explore hiking around the Banner Elk area while we were there so it was a bit of a drive down and back up the mountain but we didn’t mind that because the house was worth it to us. We did eat at a local pizza place downtown Beech Mountain that was delicious and enjoyed Fred’s general store. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Wonderful mountain house

This is a beautiful mountain house that is close to beech and sugar mountains. We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is new and clean, the beds are comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our large group. We had kids ranging from 2-8 and the house was a great fit for them too. It was nicely decorated but without lots of small decorative items that we would have had to move. The outdoor deck is stunning and spacious and there were games for the kids. The home owner even had all necessities in terms of cooking and cleaning. We are used to having to bring everything with us when we rent beach homes. It was so nice to rent this house and have shampoo/laundry/new sponges, toilet paper, etc already there for us to use. The property owner was very easy to communicate with and responsive when we had a question one evening. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a mountain escape and quick accessibility to everything in the area.

Stunning

This home is too nice to be rented! If you’re fortunate enough to stay here you’ll enjoy a ton of space. Fully separate up and down stairs living arrangements including your own massive balcony’s that overlook the mountain. Great value and a host that responds immediately if you need something !

Wonderful stay at this gorgeous home!

I rented this gorgeous home for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. We loved everything about this home! I’m very picky about where I stay, the cleanliness, especially. Everything at the home was top notch! One of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely loved the outdoor space. The owner went above & beyond to help me get some decorations I wanted for the birthday celebration, I can’t say enough about how helpful she was. We will definitely look to rent this home the next time we head to the mountains!
