Bring the whole family or group of friends and create memories to last a lifetime with your own private compound on tranquil Thomas Pond. Camp Dragonfly’s spacious, remodeled 5 bedroom main house has all the amenities you could need, the 2 bedroom guest house has a kitchenette and full bath, while the adorable bunkhouse has two sets of bunks + futon – the perfect hangout for the kids or teens!

Take pleasure in 250 feet of private shoreline with trees buffering each side giving you complete privacy. Play your favorite outdoor games on the large, level yard. Access the sandy bottomed, crystal clear water from the stairs or two docks. Swim to the float and soak up the sunshine while you observe the resident bald eagle circling overhead. Cast a line from the canoe or dock and enjoy some of the best fishing in the lakes region. Cook up some lobsters in our giant outdoor gas-fired cooker. Sip your coffee in the mornings and watch the sunrise from the covered porch or savor your favorite beverage in the evenings by the cozy fire pit while you take in panoramic views of the lake. Finally, after a full day enjoying "The Way Life Should Be", fall into a peaceful slumber as you listen to the soothing cry of the loons.

While away from it all you are only 10-15 minutes from grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, ice cream stands, movie theatres, hiking, golf, mini golf and go-karting in Windham or scenic Naples. And spectacular, foodie central Portland is only 30 minutes for day trips or a fun night out.

A tennis court, 3 pickleball courts (we provide net and paddles!), swing set, and a half basketball court are less than a mile away.

Amenities include 2 docks, stairs to the water, swim float, 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a canoe (adult and children’s life jackets provided), water floats and noodles, firepit, Weber gas grill, outdoor gas burner with lobster pot and utensils, outdoor games (cornhole, spikeball, bocce, whiffle ball), and puzzles, books, and games (various card and dice games, cribbage board, jumbo sequence, deluxe scrabble, rack-o, and guesstures to name a few).

The boat on the mooring is not for use or available to rent, but there are several local marinas to rent from (we recommend Sebago Lake Boat Rentals) that will deliver the boat to the boat launch for you. We suggest reserving and arranging drop off well in advance.

Wonderful property! Very clean and well stocked with yard games, board games, towels, linens, coffee, soap, dishware, etc. -- makes it easy if traveling by air to not have to pack all those items. Really appreciate finding a pet-free rental because of allergies. Rented a boat using a recommendation from the owner, and we were very pleased with their service too. Thank you so much!

Amazing family vacation

Camp Dragonfly is a wonderful property with all of the amenities you could ask for, and then some. The houses are clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The grounds are breathtaking, and the lake is clear and the water warm, we were in the water everyday. We loved every minute of our stay there and hope to return again.

Magnificent Maine Stay

Words can’t describe how incredible this place is! The house and property made a perfect spot to celebrate my parents 50th Anniversary. Kids also had a great time kayaking, running around the yard and s’mores around the fire. Kitchen has ample space for everyone, tons of room for all throughout the house. Bedrooms were great, bathrooms were great, would stay here again and again!

Absolutely lovely home. Gorgeous view of the lake! Spacious and beautifully decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals! Owner extremely responsive! Shower in upstairs bathroom needs some work. Would highly recommend.

Golf Trip

We loved this property! I run an annual 12-man golf trip. My group really enjoyed this home. There was plenty of room in the main house. The guest house and bunk house provided the extra sleeping space we needed. Fire pit was fantastic. House came fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Jenny was great to communicate with. Would absolutely go back.

The Perfect Maine Property

This was truly the perfect Maine property. Situated a short drive from Portland as well as the beach but on a beautiful private lake gives great vacation diversity. The property boasting three sleeping dwellings was perfect for our large group of adults. The house was well stocked with anything you would need for cooking for 14 people including the large boil pot and plenty of utensils and tools for lobster and other seafoods. Not one person of our group had a bad thing to say and we all now have this saved on our VRBO wishlist for next year!

Slice of heaven

Clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed and extremely well-stocked. Gorgeous views and plenty of spaces and places to enjoy on the property. Enough room for a family to spread out but also larger communal spots for family meals, games, and quality time. Jenny thought of everything- games, books, kitchen/cooking supplies, plenty of towels, soaps, informative welcome book... the list goes on and on. Jenny took fantastic care of us and we look forward to going back! Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning

An absolutely PERFECT location for a relaxing bachelorette weekend! There were 11 of us that very comfortably stayed here for 3 nights! The house had an immaculate view of the lake and was so beautifully cleaned and stocked with every item/appliance imaginable. Jenny was a pleasure to talk with and was so quick in response to any of our requests/questions! Very highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet “home away from home”, large family or event gathering that’s close enough to town for last minute grocery runs, but quaint enough to feel like you’re the only ones on the lake! 100000000000/10 !

Just fantastic!!!

Great property on a really nice sized pond. The house is the right combination of rustic and modern. The living spaces overlooking the pond are great and close enough to the water that you can enjoy the view at close range. We have rented at least 8 houses in the lakes region around Bridgton and this is by far the most well equipped, most well stocked with essential supplies and definitely on of the cleanest houses we have been to. We had a minor issue with some newly installed shower fixtures and the property manager had it fixed before noon that day. I would definitely return

What a gorgeous weekend experience—definitely a cut above!

Our group of 7 adults gathers once a year to review our work as healers and meditators, and to deepen friendships within the group. It takes a special place to meet all of our needs for individual accommodations as well as serene surroundings. Without question, this wonderful place (Dragonfly camp) with its absolutely lovely host is far above all of the other nice places we've stayed—and we've tried a different place each year. But we're coming back to this one from now on. It is spacious, spotless, and graciously appointed—an outstanding kitchen and living area with perfect views, perfect pillows on the beds, a thoughtfully placed outdoor fire pit with muted colored lights on the surrounding landscaped grasses, and lovely arranged plants in pots on the pier. The details are amazing. This place is absolutely a cut above the rest.

Hidden Gem!!

Camp Dragonfly (and yes we did see many multi colored dragonflies which was magical), with great layout of property, multi areas for sleep with such spaciousness for a multi -generational family ranging from 8-84. Vrbo description is accurate; beyond our expectations. Jenny created a brochure that describes anything and everything you need to know about her lovely home annd surrounding area! Available before or upon your arrival! Must read!!!Jenny responds within minutes answering questions, resolving issues, not to interrupt your making of memories. Cant say enough how Jenny exceeds in communication skills! Couple of points only from my perspective. Our 8 $ and Jenny

I loved this place

I write this on my last night as I sit staring at the calm water in front of me , the lights of the other properties on the lake mirrored on the water. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'll stick to things not in the app. The property slopes down gently to an enormous open, flat area. There is a large campfire area with seating off to the side. The two docks offer shallow wading water by the fire pit and deeper water off the larger dock in front of the main building. The nicely furnished house is equipped with everything you need. Seriously, I found extension cords, multiple cutting boards and every kind of pot/pan you can think of. I felt like I was staying at gramma's lakehouse, with room for the whole family. Highly recommend!

Wonderful!

Three sisters and their families, for the first time in their adult lives, spent a week vacationing together at this wonderful lake-front compound. The views of the lake were awesome, especially watching the sun rise every morning with mist rolling above the water. The property is so spacious — there are areas to gather or be apart depending on the mood. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen, living room, and on the porch of the main house. Everything you could want is provided, even bug spray (not that we needed it) and a basket of extra sunglasses. The kitchen is fully stocked, there are loads of indoor and outdoor games, books, etc. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit almost every night. We used the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards every day. The water was so clean and clear. The fishing and swimming were also great. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Jenny, the host, was very accessible and extremely accommodating. We all agreed we much preferred being on Thomas Pond than on the much larger, and busier, Sebago Lake, and we would definitely like to return here in the future.

Hello, my name is Jenny and I grew up in Maine. I now live in Southern New England with my husband and two teenage boys. I really wanted my children to know Maine they way I did, so in 2014 we purchased this lovely property and have spent quite a bit of time here. Needless to say the boys love it! We have gradually renovated areas that needed attention. It is still a work in progress, but something that I enjoy doing immensely. I also love hosting and doing all that I can to ensure our guests have the ultimate experience. It makes me happy to make you happy!

I am always thinking about ways to improve Camp Dragonfly. I want our guests to have the most remarkable and joyful time here possible. If you have suggestions on what could be changed or added to enhance your stay, please let me know!

Why they chose this property

I grew up going to my grandparents' camp on Sebago Lake and would also take day trips to Sebago Lake State Park. To me, the Lakes Region in Maine means fun in the sun and in the water, enjoying nature, and getting away from it all. The area is convenient to get to from the rest of New England. I also like that there are amenities nearby that are convenient and fun to explore. Thomas Pond was high on our list due to its excellent water quality rating and because it is less busy than other lakes and ponds. Why Camp Dragonfly? If you are here in May or June, look up and you might see dozens of dragonflies flying overhead. We love dragonflies because they are beautiful creatures that symbolize hope, change, and love. Dragonflies also remind us of our loved ones who are no longer with us physically. And lastly, we love dragonflies because they eat mosquitoes!

What makes this property unique

This house was built in the early 1800’s. We’ve been renovating since 2014, but you will still see many signs of an older home. We hope you enjoy the peace and tranquility of beautiful Thomas Pond. Hopefully you will catch a glimpse of the Loons that make the pond their home in the summer and hear their mesmerizing calls at night. There is nothing like Maine in the summer!

An interesting historical tie to this property that we’ve been told is that novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne used to be a frequent visitor as he spent many summers in Raymond and Casco between 1813 and 1825. His most famous novel, The Scarlet Letter, was mostly written at his mother’s home in Casco.

Thomas Pond is 442 Acres and has a max depth of 64 feet. The most popular species of fish caught are Largemouth bass, Smallmouth bass, and Chain pickerel. The water temperature in summer averages 78 degrees, perfect for swimming and lounging in the raft. In the evenings the Maine air can be crisp, so throw on a sweatshirt and enjoy the warmth of the firepit while you make some s'mores. You will have a perfect view of the moon rise and don't forget to look up at the stars and find the Big Dipper and the Milky Way. Good chance you'll see a shooting star too.

The best parts of this property are the large yard for games, privacy on either side, and gorgeous open views of the lake, all three of which are rare in a lakefront property. Thomas Pond also has less activity than other lakes in the region, which adds to the tranquility, but it's also fun to watch the water skiers when they come around. The pond is large enough for water sports, but small enough to explore with the kayak or canoe. We do hope you enjoy your time at Camp Dragonfly and make memories to last a lifetime.
