Absolutely stunning location! The views from the home (when it wasn't raining.. lol) were fantastic. Soheen was the perfect base for our son's wedding in Ireland. The kitchen space was the highlight of the property. We enjoyed the peace of the countryside while just 10 minutes from restaurants and shopping. I can't recommend this property enough!

We were delighted to read your review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Soheen.
Congratulations again on your son’s wedding.
The house is so cheerful and the location is relaxing with cows in the pasture behind the house and the rocky beach a short walk down the hill. We appreciated that there was a cloths dryer since that’s not very common. The bedrooms are a split plan with a master down and 2 bedrooms up that share a bath. Plenty of areas to sit since there’s a cozy living room and a kitchen with two sofas. The two in the kitchen could stand to be replaced as they’re less comfortable. The drip coffee maker and the nesspresso met our needs. Overall, the moment we walked in, we knew we would be happy here and we weren’t disappointed!
What a wonderful family adventure in Ireland! The house was perfect for our family of six! With lovely views and a cozy Christmas tree in the kitchen, it was a great way to enjoy our American Thanksgiving while being in Ireland. We would definitely return.
Excellent location to visit key sites. The check-in process was seamless with detailed instructions on how to use appliances. Communication was excellent with the owners.
Remote yet easily accessible. Huge country kitchen and dining room. Easy access to a small beach nearby. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were very quick to respond.
Location fantastic and beautiful house and yard. Very quiet and Owners responded to all inquiries. We had unusual fantastic weather up to 80 and sunny so no a/c made it warm upstairs. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to friends for location and size. Lahinch is a great town somewhat unknown but we loved it
Perfect place for a family stay with gorgeous views, and the location was central to so many wonderful places! The home was clean, beautifully decorated and packed with all the amenities needed for an easy stay! We had a party of seven- including children, and it was a dream! The owners were engaging and prompt to respond with any/all questions. The town of Lahnich is fabulous, and I can’t imagine a more perfect place to stay in the west coast! I Highly recommend Soheen for your next stay!
Had a lovely stay in Lahinch during winter. House has everything you might need and is warm and comfortable. Good location for sightseeing. Owners very responsive if something comes up.
“Soheen” is a beautiful, spacious cottage with views of the ocean. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. It’s a short distance from the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin (ferry to the Aran Islands) and the Burren. Our children enjoyed the upstairs bunk room and the large garden.
Beautiful, modern Irish house in a very scenic location. Private but convenient to many attractions. Clear instructions to operate household systems. The owners were super responsive to questions/concerns. We didn't bring family or children, but the house is well equipped for all ages. An added bonus is the gourmet restaurant a three minute walk away.
Overall lovely home that’s cozy, situated in a beautiful place with a nice walk to the rocky beach. Very relaxing and tidy. Super clean. Highly recommended.
Great location with a nice view of the ocean fron the garden and all rooms. Huge and perfectly equipped kitchen with enough space even at bad wheather conditions. Both families were extremely happy with the house. We will come back!
Comfortable stay within a short drive to Lahinch, and a good base for trips to Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Cave, and a day trip to Inisheer. Stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, and close to a great seafood restaurant (make reservations at Barrtra before you come. ) Short walk down to the waters edge, where we enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Highly recommend.
We had plenty of space for a family of five with kids from 5-13 years old. The yard is huge and flat…perfect for outdoor playing with a football. The home is a perfect balance of the old and new. All the modern comforts and all the charm of an Irish farmhouse by the ocean. Lovely.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and Soheen is a special place for downtime. County Clare is a wonderful county to visit and we are so happy that you have a wonderful visit to the county!
We enjoyed our time here. It was a cold visit and we were happy to have the wood burning stove! We had plenty of space and enjoyed the time we had there. The owners were responsive when we had questions about the house as well!

About the host
Hosted by Joan and Brian
Joan and Brian live in Oakville in Canada and have 3 wonderful children with our youngest in University! Brian grew up 20 miles/ 30 kms from Soheen and visited Lahinch every Sunday as a child and vacationed there every summer. Lahinch is a very special place for us and just thinking of there reduces our stress! Soheen is a house that we never can stay there too long and we get so excited every time we stay there! We built this house with the best of materials and appliances. It is the house we intend to retire in.
Why they chose this property
Soheen (or in Gaelic is Súichín) is a very special place for us and it lives up to its name which means 'a place of rest'. The review are spectacular and we just love spending time there when we can! We built this house with the greatest care and attention to maximize comfort and be a restful house in keeping with the surrounding natural area.
What makes this property unique
We, like our guests, that visit our home just love the atmosphere in the house - the wonderful finish which makes it most comfortable. Large open kitchen with wood floor and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views of the countryside. The living room with natural stone fireplace which is just a perfect place to read a book and take it easy. The master bedroom with its en-suite and has a fireplace to give it that real Irish feel. The large gallery area on the 2nd floor which has a desk to sit and read and do yoga or stretching exercises! The main bedroom upstairs which has wonderful views and the feel that you are in another world and of course the children's room which has 2 bunk beds (3 singles and a double)! A place of rest and rejuvenation !
