Absolutely perfect stay for our group of six! The home sits in an idyllic setting—castle and countryside views out one window, and the ocean and Cliffs of Moher footpath out another. Sally welcomed us with a fresh loaf of homemade bread, a bottle of wine, muesli, and basic pantry items. The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Being steps away from the cliff trail and just a quick walk down to the local pubs made this location unbeatable. We would return in a heartbeat.

Castle View house was more than five stars, it was at least ten! Location was perfect, right next to the cliff trail and a very short walk to town and restaurants, about five minutes. Ten minute walk to ferry and seaweed baths and the views are amazing! Sally was very quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back.

We were welcomed late in the evening with warm bread and a lovely tour of the home. We wanted for nothing, the views are spectacular and the cliffs wall is just across the road.

Wonderful spot to explore County Clare

Our group had a wonderful time at the Castle View House. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Sally was a very responsive and gracious host. Also, we could easily walk down to some of the shops and a pub so a great spot.

Great location, short walk (5 minutes) to Doolin pubs and restaurants and right by the start of the footpath to Cliffs of Moher.Very spacious property and well equipped and great views.

Castle View House

What a fantastic place to stay. The location was remarkable; the owners couldn’t be better; the house was roomy, well-appointed, very comfortable, and an easy walk to all local attractions. We’ve stayed in a number of vrbo houses and this is the best!

Castleview could easily be called castle-cliffs-ocean-farm-view with the added bonus of baby calfs right outside the window. Sally is a perfect host — welcoming, informative, generous, responsive and discreet. She stocked the kitchen to ensure a pleasant first morning (the bread was soooo good) gave us a tour to explain the quirks of the house and offered suggestions about parking, activities, dining etc in Doolin. The house is spotless, comfortable, quiet and warm. You can easily walk down the hill to Gus O’Connors Pub (unless you’re my 85 year old father and are planning on having a few pints before the trip back). We walked out the door to the cliff walk most days and the full walk back from the Cliffs of Moher was deemed one of the top hikes some of my family members have ever taken. This is a great base for our time in Co. Clare!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this lovely, historic Doolin farmhouse. Our family of 7 had plenty of room in the house. The views of the ocean and Doonagore castle are spectacular! We also enjoyed watching the cattle on the farm. Will definitely return if we get back to Doolin.
