The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Please clean all used dishes, there is a drying rack and mat near or under the kitchen sink.

If you have brought a pet please pickup all pet waste in the yard.

If checking out on Sunday please roll trash can out to the street before departing. If there is recycling that can be put out as well.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

This is our family home and we wish for it to be treated with love and care. Please leave shoes at the door. Lock up when you’re not here.

Pets must be house trained, kept off of all furniture, and all poop must cleaned up and disposed up before check out.

We are on a septic system. No food down drain. Nothing but septic safe toilet paper can be flushed even if labeled “flushable”. Clean all used dishes

Great little cottage! Very clean and stocked with shampoo, tp, soap, garbage bags etc. We used it for overflow for a family reunion weekend and it was perfect!

Nice Place!

The place was clean and well maintained. Furniture was as pictured but was a little to low to the ground for us to relax and feel comfortable while lounge around the house but it all was very well decorated and we enjoyed our stay.

We came to Higgins Lake for a wedding - while visiting we enjoyed two Beautiful Bonfires (we connected our iPad to WiFi to watch the Tigers both nights while sitting at the fire - so it's safe to say the WiFi has a great distance). The host was very kind and connected with us appropriately. I felt comfortable and safe in our environment. If you come here - I highly recommend spending time at the bonfire with family and friends!!Oh and the hammock - I spent nearly 2 hours listening to folk music and the surrounding nature!! I don't listen to folk music - but it just felt right!!The home was clean and decorated nicely.
