Very clean and nice house. The downside is, if it is wind, you're on a cruise ship.

The property was under construction when we arrived. If it wasn’t for the rental company life in paradise we wouldn’t have had a place to stay for the weekend
We enjoyed our vacation and stay at Sandy Cheeks. Loved that the property has a fenced in yard and is pet friendly. We love bringing our dogs with us to the beach. The house had everything we needed (and then some). Close to everything (beach, restaurants).

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the amenities at the property and we hope to have you back at Life in Paradise.
Location is perfect. We rented a golf cart and it was so easy getting to town and to the beach. The place was very clean and comfortable. The grass needed to be mowed but that was our only complaint. Would highly recommend!

Thank you for letting us host your vacation. We hope to see you again soon!
The place was very nice and conformable. We had to kill a few roaches. Recommend getting pest control. Otherwise the stay was very comfortable and would rent again.

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words about our property! We're thrilled to hear that you found it comfortable and enjoyable overall.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the roaches. Although our properties are sprayed regularly by professional pest control services, the unique island environment can sometimes present challenges.
Your comfort is our top priority, and your recommendation helps us improve. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for an even better stay.
Warm regards,
Life in Paradise Team
1st time to Port A! Beautiful beach destination. Great property. The only reason we would give it a 4 is due to the patio and backyard both needing a clean up and some work. Inside of house is as described and shown in pictures on listing. Bathrooms are tiny but they work.

Great space for my family and our dog. Had a run in with two small live roaches in the mixing bowls shortly after we arrived in the evening. Called and they sent out someone to spray the next morning. Would stay here again.

Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience of the roaches during your stay. Our team always strives to provide a clean and comfortable environment for all of our guests, but sometimes these unwanted critters can find their way in. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to swiftly resolve the issue.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family back during your next visit to paradise!
The location is perfect; the cottage was clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, the living room and tv's fine. The #2 shower could use improvement. The managemnt didn't answer us when I asked a question (maybe off for Xmas?)...We appreciated the fenced yard, which was a perfect space for our pups. All in all, it was a great place to stay.

Thanks so much for staying with us, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay,
We look forward to having you come again soon.
The property was lovely- simple and exactly as described. It was too cold to utilize the community pool or go to the beach but that was okay. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were so comfortable! Only issue we had was with the dryer not working, but it was not a big deal for us and did not hinder our enjoyment. I will give a bit of advice, if you plan on cooking while here, bring supplies such as spices, aluminum foil, ect. All in all- Wonderful property.

We look forward to having you come again soon.
We enjoyed our little weekend getaway at this beach house was super cozy and beautifully decorated. We will come back to stay here again. Only thing was there were dead roaches on the kitchen counter and in the living room area. There was a spider on the master bedroom bed. We are not the type to be like omg there’s roaches and spiders no biggie but they were there 😕 also there wasn’t any trash bags so thankfully we saved our groceries bags to throw our trash. Last the TV in the master bedroom was not working oh well it’s ok we weren’t there to really watch TV 😁 other than that we enjoyed our stay. Like I said we will come back to stay here hopefully next time there won’t be the little uninvited guests 😁

My husband and I (and our 2 small dogs) booked this house for a spontaneous 5 day trip to Port Aransas. Overall it was a relaxing week and we enjoyed the accommodations of the house. It was as advertised, and was actually larger than we needed. It was nice having a fenced backyard for the dogs, as well as a faucet and shower wand to hose us all off after being at the beach all day. We didn't use much in the kitchen, but it looked well-stocked. There were 2 good sized refrigerators as well - we only used one, but I imagine it would be handy to have 2 with a larger group. Internet was out for one day, but it was out in the whole area, so no fault of the property. The location of the house was just a short drive from the main shopping areas in town. We rented a golf cart from "Gulf Carts" and had a great experience. They delivered and picked up the cart for an extra $25, which was convenient. Highly recommend renting a golf cart!

Susie,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the property and we hope to have you back at Life in Paradise.
This house is so beautiful! Lots of beach farm house charm and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are very small but honestly they work and it is a beach house after all. The living room area is very spacious and the couch will be the best post beach nap you ever took! We did have some structural concerns as the deck is rotting in places and was not nailed or screwed in along the railing in some areas. We found out the hard way. But the property management team was at our door within the hour and made it right/safe. You can see home has lots of upgrades and does look like it is a work in progress. If you have children, keep a close eye out as the stairs are plenty and steap and not all railing was secured due to wood rot. The stairs leading down to the back yard are brand new so it does look like they are working on improvements. Over all? Phenomenal weekend stay for a family of four! Felt almost like home.

Thank you for the 5-star review! We are pleased to know you enjoyed the property and that we were able to accommodate your needs. We look forward to seeing you again at Life in Paradise.
The house is honestly really cute, and it was good enough for a couple of nights. The beds and bedding were awful. The sheets felt like sleeping in sand—itchy and uncomfortable. Because of the protective covers, the beds felt like sleeping on plastic. The master door sticks on the floor and gets hung when closed, making it hard to open. The master bath door doesn't close. Standing in the shower, the bathtub felt like it would fall through the floor, which was a tad creepy. The kitchen cabinets were difficult to open, and some didn't close properly without help. The kitchen was lacking in dishes, but we made it work. The TV remotes worked off and on. The master bedroom TV remote never worked correctly, despite putting new batteries in it. When we arrived, there was trash already in the trashcan, cigarette butts outside, plastic bags on the ground outside, and some random wet towels. The backyard, while equipped with some chairs, a grill, and a picnic table, was pretty ugly. Outside of the things mentioned above, there was construction material and trash around. The outdoor shower was inoperable. The indoor lights flickered, and the ones above the dining table would occasionally go completely outThe location is great. There is plenty of parking, and the fenced-in area was great for storing the jeep doors and top.

Sleepless in Port A
Overall we had some issues at the property from the moment we checked in. There were items that were in disrepair and fixable but it didn’t seem as if things were being maintained from renter to renter.
The house overall looked a bit warn on the outside. Paint was chipping and the deck in the rear had a lot of loose and raised up nails. The gate going up the front stairs was difficult to open and close, the back yard has not being maintained and the grass was so long that the mosquitoes were unbearable. The only reason we booked this property was for our dogs to go out but it was just so unusable as a yard and we did not use it at all.
There were things in the house not working properly like the faucets, light bulbs and we also had a some roaches. We reported all of this via message to the management company and they said they would send someone out which we declined because who wants Matience people in your rental when you are on vacation.
Our BIGGEST issue was the house next door which is a duplex that allows 16 people to stay in it and it has a pool which is near the Primary Bedroom. We had 4 nights of unrest from two different families/ rental groups making loud noises, playing loud music, screaming etc. Even though the curfew at Port A is 10PM they did not stop until 1-2 AM. We reported this to our management company, the houses management company and the police. Nothing was resolved until the police came. Just a warning for parents as we had no idea.
