The Get-Away: Views from ABOVE the Lake!!

Let's talk now! I joined VRBO in 2023--however, I’m not new to renting a short term rental on other platforms. Fishermen friendly! Reserve early. An extremely beautiful destination! Peaceful. Serene. Amazing views! Great for early morning Yoga! Sleeps 9, w/ add'l areas for air mattresses, sleeping bags, tents. Plenty of parking for trucks, trailers, boats and motorhomes. :)

WELCOME BUFFET IS INCLUDED!

INDOOR DINING FOR 30! Great 4 small and large retreats, bus. meetings, family reunions, or the perfect getaway. It's closer than Tahoe for many North Bay counties! Minutes away from downtown Lakeport, boat ramps, boat rentals, kayaking, parks, museum, restaurants, casinos, bike trails, antique stores & wineries. NO PETS.

VENUE PRICE a little diff. than nightly rate.

Transient Occupancy Tax is 11.5% on nightly rate only, paid to me off site, after booking or upon arrival. Explained more in booking email.

The sunrises are amazing. Grab your favorite beverage, comfy clothes, chaise lounge, and receive the day! If you miss it, it will be back tomorrow. If you are a night owl, star gaze and watch as a satellite passes over at 17,000mph!! The binoculars are on the dining table. ;) Very comfortable home. Peace filled surroundings. You need to experience it, to fully 'get it'. Words and pictures do not do it justice enough.

The house is FULLY equipped. All bedding is provided. Plenty of bath towels, and 13 beach towels. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, dishes, silverware, tools. Outdoor gas BBQ/Kitchen, refrigerator, margarita bar, double lobster boil burners, and utensils . Pool rafts available, with 1 adult, 2 youth, and 2 child life jackets. Pool is private and fenced, but accessible from the house. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. RENTERS MUST SIGN RENTAL AGREEMENT ACKNOWLEDGING RESPONSIBILITY. Property is completely private. Gated driveway.

The deer are quite abundant in the early morning and evenings for your viewing pleasure, from the outdoor pool and patio areas. Birds of prey have their cycles twice a day as well! The initial emails will contain a lot of specific information to set you up for your personal vacation. Repeating here: Wifi is only for the security system. It is not strong enough for the guests to use. There is excellent cell phone range and internet connection from phones, or if you bring your own hotspot/jet pack. You are on top of a hill will almost 360 degrees of unobstructed views.

Thank you Becky. We had a wonderful vacation at your beautiful home. Quiet and relaxing the way we like it.The views were magical and stunning. Seeing all the wildlife around the home was amazing.The welcome buffet was well appreciated after our long drive.It would be hard for anyone to find a better place to stay at North Lakeport. Wow. As others have said, the view is just captivating no matter the time of day or night or weather: sunrises, sunsets, stargazing, lightning shows, fireworks shows, cloud watching, lake and mountain views. We enjoyed the house, pool, hot tub, lounges and Adirondack chairs, BBQ/outdoor kitchen, and more. We really loved that there is so much seating inside with three dining tables. The outdoor kitchen was great. Lots of parking. Rebecca, the hostess, is a very caring person - she cares very much about her property as well as her guests' experience and satisfation.

Perfect property

Rebecca’s home was simply perfect. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, two wedding anniversaries, and a baby-moon. More than enough space for 8 adults. The house was fully stocked, not that we were inside very much. The pool and hot tub is where we spent most of our time. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Rebecca made sure we had everything we needed and more. Her thoughtfulness towards decorations, and the welcome buffet were above and beyond. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We appreciate all you did!

Million dollar views

Rebecca (Becky) was a fantastic host. Welcome buffet was quite the spread. Snacked on it our whole trip. Beds were comfy. Views from all windows. Deer greeted us day and night. Kitchen fully stocked with everything we would need. We honestly didn’t spend too much time inside. Hot tub under the stars every night. Too cold for pool but it sure looked inviting. Adirondack chairs for sunrise. Hung out in chairs during day too just taking in Lake and mountains. Private. Can only see one house. Otherwise feel like it’s your very own hill top view. If you’re looking for a homey place, this is it.

Dad’s 70th birthday

It was a great location and beautiful view. Most of our time was spent outside. Our host was very attentive and really did strive to make it the best experience. The whole time we didn’t feel like we were in a rental, we felt at home. We did a little thrifting around the town but mostly we enjoyed the house. We had amazing dinners, days of swimming, playing games on the sun porch, watching sunsets, and even scheduled an appointment to have massage therapists come out to the house for massages. Really, the only negative was finding out that the house had zero internet/WiFi- it normally wouldn’t have been a big deal but my husband needed it for work. The description was a little misleading but at the end of the day, I should have asked to confirm. We would definitely stay here again (hopefully next time no one has to work) and very much recommend to others!

Much needed rest and connection to nature

Host Becky is INCREDIBLE. She’s very responsive, considerate and an excellent problem solver! We had some issues during our week long stay that were beyond anyone’s control and she did everything in her power to resolve things as quickly as possible. The property is EXACTLY what we needed…the many visits and up close encounters with the deer, made the entire experience! Add in the breathtaking views, the hot tub, and the most incredible stargazing… it was chefs kiss! The home was comfy and cozy … bear in mind it’s more cabin like. We were here in winter, so the materials used to winterize the porch, obstruct the view and if it is overcast, it is cold out there! :) That didn’t stop us from wrapping up in quilts and immersing ourselves in it out on the Adirondack chairs. I highly recommend this as a place to unplug and refill. The lack of Wi-Fi had zero impact on our stay…when needed, our cell phone coverage was just fine. The spread of food Becky so graciously provides, was a welcomed touch.

It's ALL About the View!

There were 5 senior family members, from CA and OR renting this house. We do this every summer so we can get together, and this year was our favorite house. The view of Clear Lake is from the hill the house sits on. It is absolutely incredible! To make it even more inviting, there is a large screened in porch overlooking the lake. We spent every day out there. It had tables and comfortable chairs and had a warm breeze every afternoon. There is a pool and hot tub overlooking the lake, a large patio and nice bbq, all seen from the screened in porch and overlooking the lake. The house is large, air unique design, has A/C and is all on ONE level which is perfect for those who might have trouble with stairs. It has 2-1/2 baths, 3 bedrooms, living room, two dining areas, a large and fully equipped kitchen, and most rooms have views of the lake. Our hostess and owner, Becky, gave us a full tour of the property. And she had a wonderful welcome buffet set up for us to eat upon arrival. It included cheeses, meats, crackers, breads, special items and a bottle of wine. Amazing! She was quickly available to us for any questions we had. We will definitely return. A better view can't be found with a house so great to see it from. It is exactly what we look for in a vacation home, single level and with a great view!

Most beautiful place ever!

I have so much to say! Becky was a wonderful host. She got in touch with me a few times before our stay. We went over basic things about the home and she asked what we were looking for out of our stay. She was super knowledgeable about the area. She really was a blessing, she was able to answer all my questions, as our baby is special needs, so I had TONS of questions. She was always a joy to talk to and always answered my emails or phone calls. She talked about what we would like to eat when we arrived (We were driving from Illinois) we wanted hamburgers. We're simple. She had a whole spread, including home made dips, chips and drinks for my kiddos. It was nice since we had been on the road for 3 days and had been eating junk. She even warmed up the grill for us. So all we had to do was put the patties, she prepared, on the grill. The home was nice and comfortable. We all felt at home and safe. My kiddos were in the fabulous pool EVERY DAY, lol. And us adults loved the hot tub. We kept our scraps from every meal ( I cooked every night but 1) and feed them to the animals (Deer). It was amazing watching the deer stroll pass in the morning. My family of 9 only left the house 2 times, to see the glass beach and for groceries. Oh, and out to eat the last night. If you need a retreat, this home and grounds are seriously amazing. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for sharing your home. It is truly beautiful.

My husband and I have been together since 1984, and married since 1990. We live in Sonoma County, and I travel 2 hours north to set the home up for your reservation, and return after you have left to complete the checkout process.

Along the way, I glean all of the goodies for your personalized welcome buffet that you could ever want. Fine wines, cheeses, specialty foods and beverages, and made to order comfort foods. The welcome buffet is INCLUDED in every stay at the home.

Celebrating something or someone? Family reunion? I can decorate for you too! No charge.

Looking for a private residence so your kids can ride their bikes, fly kites, play in the pool, and observe wildlife flying overhead or walking below in the grassy fields? This place is it.

This property is so very unique and special. I always say it is meant to be shared. The experiences that one (or all!) receives while here, cannot accurately be put to words. You have to experience it first hand. The all encompassing views and fresh air truly cleanse the soul.

I respect the amount of work it takes to go on vacation or plan your company meeting/retreat. This doesn't include the work to be done once you arrive at your destination. Here at "The Get-Away: Views from ABOVE the Lake!!", I do a lot of that for you. I am already here waiting for you to arrive... so time well spent, is in taking care of the finer details so you don't have too. Your vacation gets to begin after you arrive and get the orientation tour (and I drive away). The peace and tranquility will quickly win you over, and within minutes you will start to feel relaxed. Very relaxed.

What makes this property unique

Full views of the sunrises and sunset. Unobstructed views of Mount Konocti and Clear Lake, and the geysers to the south. Perfect location to be close to many wineries, thrift stores, restaurants, casinos, lake, lake views, grocery stores, hiking trails, other lakes with different boating options, and so much more!! My favorite things at the home are the Adirondack chairs, outdoor comfy blankets, and a warm beverage to catch the sunrise or say hello to nightfall. During the warm summer months, being in the pool, on a floatie is where it is at folks. Most people arrive with a large agenda...but soon they phone me laughing to let me know.......they're not going anywhere. The home is where they wish to stay....FOR-EV-ER!! :)
