We had a great trip at the cottage. It was the perfect size for my family and had everything we needed during the stay. The interior was very nice, felt clean and not over-used. My wife and son really enjoyed it as well and would recommend to other families or couples as well. The location was convenient for everything we were doing in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. Nice and clean, very relaxing, warm and inviting. No issues at all, enjoyable few days of peace and quiet…
We had a lovely stay at this little gem. It was just as described and had lots of cooking utensils which was great for preparing the big meal. The bed was comfortable, and the area was quiet. It even snowed and we saw many deer.
We found Christine’s home to be so perfect and thoughtful. The check in process was super fast and so easy. Kitchen had everything we needed, the rooms were comfortable. The vibe of the house is exactly what we wanted. Peaceful and charming. Clean, comfortable, and had an old fashioned cottage feel to complement the esthetic.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Jameson Cottage. Thank you for the great review and for taking good care of our little sanctuary. Very grateful for wonderful guests like you.
Wow this place is wonderful! In a beautiful area of the Catskills (we *love* the Catskills!). It was quiet, very peaceful. Neighbors were friendly. The cabin restoration is awesome. Very cozy, fully appointed, comfortable beds. Christine is a fantastic host. Very friendly, quick communication, lots of great recommendations for things to see and places to eat (the Arnold House was our #1). This is the perfect base from which to explore the Catskills. Can't recommend it highly enough. We'll be back for sure.

Welcome to Jameson Cottage!
I lived in beautiful Rockland County, NY most of my life, and now call Virginia home—but my heart is still very much in the Catskills. I cohost the cottage with my son, Michael, who is the creative spirit behind Jameson Cottage. He led the renovation and designed the warm, welcoming interior that we’re so proud to share with our guests.
Hosting is truly a joy for us. We love helping our guests relax, recharge, and experience everything that makes the Livingston Manor area so special. From the peaceful surroundings to the charming local spots, there's so much to enjoy here.
We’re incredibly thankful for all of our wonderful guests who treat the cottage with such care. Our greatest hope is that you’ll feel right at home—and love your time at Jameson Cottage just as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
My son Michael first heard about Livingston Manor in 2017, just as the town was beginning its exciting revival. We spent just one day exploring the area and looking at homes—and it didn’t take long for us to know this was the place. We instantly felt a connection and knew we had found something special.
Our 1952 cottage was loved by it's previous owner but it needed a major update. Reviving Jameson Cottage was an incredibly fun and rewarding journey. Watching it transform from its original state into the warm, welcoming retreat it is today was nothing short of dramatic—and we loved every step of the process. Our home is now a great place to relax and cozy up on the couch, the front porch, or the backyard.
Livingston Manor, NY is a small town with a big story. Once a bustling resort destination, it faced a downturn in the 1960s and spent decades quietly tucked away in the Catskills. But in recent years, it’s experienced an inspiring revival.
Artists, makers, and small business owners have brought new life into the town—restoring its historic charm while adding fresh energy and creativity. Today, Livingston Manor is a vibrant blend of old and new, where classic Catskills beauty meets a growing community of local shops, cozy cafes, and outdoor adventures.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the simple pleasures—whether it’s a walk along the river, a locally roasted coffee, or a weekend exploring the mountains.
What makes this property unique
What makes Jameson Cottage truly stand out is the care and creativity that went into every detail. Lovingly renovated and designed by my son Michael, the cottage blends cozy charm with modern touches, creating a warm and inviting space that feels like home the moment you walk in.
Set in the heart of the Catskills, our cottage offers both peaceful seclusion and close access to the vibrant town of Livingston Manor. Whether you're relaxing by the fire, enjoying coffee on the porch, or heading out to explore local shops, trails, and rivers, Jameson Cottage is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
What also sets us apart is how personally invested we are in our guests' experience. We’re not just hosts—we truly love sharing this special place and making sure each stay feels memorable and meaningful.
