The house is convenient to the slopes and big enough for two families. It is a beautiful home with comfortable beds and hot showers. Great place to cook meals and relax after a day of skiing.
Wonderful relaxing birthday weekend spent with friends and family doing puzzles eating good food!
I always remember passing this house and thinking and saying how much I loved beautiful the stained glass work. I was so pleasantly surprised to see it listed in VRBO. The owners were great!
Amazing property in one of my favorite places in Alaska. The place was clean and comfortable with plenty of room and amenities. Easily sleeps 12 people (2 per bed), with 4 bathrooms and two kitchens that were stocked with almost everything. (We couldn't find a blender). It does have a hot tub but not available to us while we were there. It is in a great location, close to food and the mountain. We would stay here again!
Our stay at the Glasshouse in Girdwood has to be one of the best vacation rental experiences. I don’t think the listing or the pictures do it justice.
First - the house will comfortably (with plenty of space and privacy) hold 3-4 families/couples. The beds were comfortable - the house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked. We have NO complaints.
The house is three floors, the first floor has a living room area, two double bed (not twins) bunk beds, and a full bathroom, befor stepping through the doorway to the small kitchen/kitchenette, where there is a Murphy bed. The Murphy bed is separated from the double bunks and the living room by the doorway to the kitchen, so it isn’t in the middle of a walk-through area, and you have a bit of privacy.
Upstairs on the first level, you have the main living room, a dining table, and a kitchen with bar seating. There is a washer and dryer of BOTH the ground and first floor kitchens. There are there are two bedrooms on the first level, one with an en suite bathroom and one with a bathroom right outside the door (shared with the living room area). On the third floor is the king bed room and ensuite bathroom, so the third floor is just the king room, so tons of privacy with your own staircase to your room.
All in all - awesome place to stay with a group. Close to the mountain, close to everything, plenty of space - 10 out of 10 stars. Our friends who stayed at Alyeska were jealous they weren’t at the house with us!
Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely and very unique home. The glass work is something out of this world - totally beautiful!
