Welcome to Casa Carlyle - a spacious & light-filled desert home with mountain & desert views, a hot tub, outdoor shower and privacy. A 4-min drive to town, 10 mins to Pioneertown and 15 mins to Joshua Tree National Park. Nestled on 1/2 an acre of mature landscaping, this tranquil and beautifully designed 2 bed, 2 bath home has ample outdoor space w/ fire pit and bbq grill. The fully fenced in terraced yard offers numerous places to gather, eat, meditate, moon gaze and take in the landscapes.

This chic desert home with both rustic and midcentury-modern touches offers plenty of space indoors for lounging - whether on the large, comfortable sectional couch, around the modern wood dining table, in front of the cozy fireplace while watching a movie on the projector, or in and around the numerous seating areas outdoors.

Soak in the hot tub, take a cold shower under the shade of a velvet mesquite tree, enjoy alfresco dining under the covered patio, evening drinks at the outdoor seating area, sunbathe in the lounge chairs, relax with a book on the hammock, meditate beneath a palo verde tree, or take in the views from one of the seating areas in the yard. End the evening with a gathering around the fire pit and stargaze under the magical desert sky.

BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms feature oversized closets with storage, luggage racks, a work/writing desk, dimmable lighting, and incredibly comfortable mattresses and bedding. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom.

BATHROOMS
The beautifully updated, large full bathrooms offer a mix of vintage and modern touches and Public Goods toiletries. High quality towels, hair dryers, toothpaste, complimentary feminine products and more.

KITCHEN
Take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen (see the reviews!) and a large bbq grill in the covered patio, just next to the outdoor dining table. French press, Chemex, coffee grinder, electric kettle and coffee beans also available.

AC/HEAT
Central air and heat let you comfortably control the temperature in the home. There's also a portable fan in the closet and an indoor fireplace for cozy nights.

HOT TUB & OUTDOOR SHOWER
Relax under the stars while soaking in a hot tub and rinse off under a cold outdoor shower.

RECORD PLAYER
Play records from the record player or use the Sonos speaker to play music straight from your phone. Art, architecture, and books of poetry are sprinkled throughout the home. There's also a backgammon set for you to enjoy.

PROJECTOR
Enjoy an at-home movie theater experience with the projector and Roku for easy login into your streaming accounts. You can use the white wall above the credenza and the Sonos speaker for a nighttime treat. Set up is very easy.

WIFI + CELL
The home has excellent cell reception and wi-fi which also reaches to the outdoor patio so you can Zoom all day long while taking in the views, birds and desert beauty.

PETS
Please send a message first if you'd like your dogs to join (a nonrefundable pet fee of $125 will apply). The home can accommodate one medium sized dog or up to two small dogs. Fully fenced in backyard. Please clean up after your pets. Unfortunately, no cats are allowed.

PARKING
There's ample parking in the driveways (front and side).

CLEANING
The home is meticulously and professionally cleaned after each visit so each new guest can feel at ease and welcomed by a sparkling clean home bath andstsfjon.

Ghazal’s place is absolutely perfect. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood but a short drive to anything you want to do/eat/see in the high desert, this was the ideal location for me to visit family and have a relaxing few days. I loved the calming interior aesthetics of the house as well as the beautiful, terraced backyard that felt like my own little oasis. I’ve stayed in many houses in Yucca Valley over the past 20 years and this was my favorite by far. All the thoughtful little extras - record player, sun hat, hammock, interesting art, projector, hot tub, beautiful lighting - made my stay extra special. I can’t wait to come back and visit again soon!

We had a great time at Casa Carlyle. Such a comfortable home, great back yard, great location. Would be helpful to have a microwave for leftovers, but otherwise a wonderful property. Ghazal was very attentive to our needs and responded quickly.

A gem in the Desert

We enjoyed our stay so much! The home is beautiful and they supplied so many amenities. There were even plates, a bib and spoons for my toddler! The host was so communicative and noticed before we arrived that the internet was slow. They made sure that this was up and running before we even got there! There is plenty of space, and the backyard area is very enjoyable! Our toddler loved running around and seeing all the different trees!

Peaceful

The house is lovely and in a great location to explore the park and all around Joshua Tree. The communication was thorough and thoughtful, as is everything in the house. The interior had everything we needed, including the kitchen - which made it easy to cook. I also really like the layout of the backyard and the hot tub was a very enjoyable feature. I’d be happy to stay again and highly recommend!

Lights not working, leaking roof/ ceiling. Washer not working, no propane. Hot tub dirty, was told we had to get propane and clean the hot tub and nothing about the leaking ceiling. Didn't fix the broken light/ switch in one bedroom. Them get some message about sheets needing replacing. Nope.
