The great room combines the well-equipped kitchen (with a large breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances), the dining area, and a cozy living room with a big-screen TV and a leather sectional. For even more at-home fun, head downstairs to the game room in the walk-out basement to find air hockey, foosball, and another TV.

My team came to Maine to play in the Maine Strong Softball Tournament. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. Plenty of room, beautiful views, and amazing stay!!! Highly recommend.
Family visit! This home allowed for everyones privacy and togetherness. Serene location. Love the carport for unloading as it was raining that day. Expansive deck beautiful views. Sm Groc store 2 mi down the road. Public boat launch 1/2 mile away to put in. We docked our boat right on the property for the week. Fish were jumping in the morning. Kids could swim off the dock. Very clean lake.
We have been going to Lake Pennesseewassee for decades. This proved to be a grand reunion!

Great house
This house has a wonderful layout for families and guests of all ages. It was well equipped for water sports as well as indoor games. The three levels made it feel very roomy. The easy access to the lake was just as pictured in the website. Having two floats was a nice bonus.

Wonderful Getaway
Such a beautiful home
right on the lake. Perfectly appointed with everything needed for family dinners
overlooking the beautiful lake. Spacious basement for watching football and kids movies. I can’t think of nicer location to spend time with the family. Plenty of comfortable beds for flexible sleeping! We will definitely be back to take advantage of this beautiful and comfortable home!
Great place to hang with family. Love the deck to sit out and have coffee and late night talks.
The home was very comfortable . We really enjoyed our stay. I also have a home on the lake but was hosting a wedding and need the extra space. I would highly recommend this place.
Thanks for sharing your home

Lake life
Location and sick were fun. Lots of options to play on the lake. Owner needs to address repairs and listen to feedback. Well suited for large groups but queen beds need to be replaced.

Thank you for your review, Rhion. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed our home but we are so sorry for the discomfort of the mattresses. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we will absolutely make sure the necessary updates are made! We hope to have the opportunity to impress you again very soon.
This house was perfect for a two night Brothers weekend. The house lived up to the pictures and it’s in a beautiful spot. House was clean. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but there was a sulfur smell while taking a shower. It could probably use a better water filtering/softening system.

Thank you for your review and we are glad to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. We apologize for the foul smell coming from the shower and appreciate your feedback about it. We do hope we will have another chance to host your stay next time.
Although the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay, the house, yard, lake, and amenities were wonderful. The house was clean, the kitchen is big, there's plenty of space to spread out on all 3 floors. Rain 5 out of 7 days prevented us from boating a lot, but what we were able to do was really beautiful. Plus, the town of Norway is pretty and quaint, and all of the stores anyone would need are within 5-15 minutes of the house.
This is the second year we have stayed at this home for our winter holiday. We have enjoyed our visits and found the home to have everything we need. We were pleased to find the fireplace in working order, even though we received a note that it was not working. That and the large kitchen are the natural gathering spots for our family. Watching the ice fishing on the lake is an added bonus. Thank you for sharing this lovely property. We'll be back!
Loved everything but down stairs queen mattress. Soo old it didn’t have a date on it. unfortunately I got to hear about it all 7 days of the week. Enough said

Location Location Location!
Everything is "as advertised." Beautiful home with everything you need to have a great time. There were six of us and we had more than enough room. We have family in the area and needed a place to stay for a wedding. It was cold and snowy so we are already planning a summer visit to take advantage of the private dock and boat access. Only issue was the water. It's well water, which we are used to, and the pressure was great. The cold water was clear and tasted fine but when you turned to the hot there is a distinct smell of rotten eggs. I reached out to the owner, and they suggested letting the water run for a while. That seemed to help a little but the smell never fully dissipated. Probably and easy fix.

We have inspected the filtration system since your stay; we're happy to report that the smell is common in the winter and the water is perfectly fine and drinkable. We hope to have the opportunity to truly impress you in the future.

Heaven on Earth
Oh my gosh...this place was amazing!! I mean AMAZING. First off - when you exit your vehicle, the area smells like Christmas trees and Jasmine. I can't explain it really! The area was quiet, safe and clean. The dock was peaceful, the water was beautiful, and each sunrise and sunset was heavenly. Restaurants, and retail shopping within 5-10 minutes. The nearby towns were great, and the people were so friendly. The home was well equipped with anything you need, and it was very clean. The deck was spacious, the grounds were well maintained, and did I mention the lake - GORGEOUS. It was just heavenly.
Things to note: You are in the woods - there is dirt, mosquitoes, bugs, rocks, leaves, and trees. There is wildlife and you will hear lots of Loons -especially at night, and it is DARK. The water has lots of minerals and may have an odor. None of these things are the fault of the hosts - they simply come with the environment. We went on several walks with our dog and relaxed on the dock. You will need mosquito repellant. It was a little tricky trying to figure out how to lock the door, but once we learned, it was easy. We did not want to leave, and we will 100% recommend this to everyone.

Hello Crystal,
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and detailed review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your stay felt nothing short of amazing and that you were able to soak in the peaceful beauty of the lake, the serene surroundings, and the warm hospitality of the nearby towns. Your vivid description of the scents, sights, and sounds really brings the experience to life, and it’s wonderful to know the home met your needs and was a comfortable retreat for you and your dog.
We also appreciate your thoughtful notes about the natural environment—the woods, wildlife, and those little quirks like the mineral-rich water and nighttime loons—that make this place so unique. It’s great that you embraced these aspects with such understanding and grace.
Thank you again for your kind recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for another heavenly getaway soon!
The location, lake and space of house was awesome. Our biggest issues was with the "amenities." The refrigerator water and ice machine did not work. One of the burners on the stove did not work and the rest were sketchy at best. The stove top light was broken. The pots and pans were dirty and old in need of replacing. The ceiling fan light was broken and the fan had one speed, slow and could not be changed. The home speakers, inside and out, did not work. The main level bathroom shower doors were broken and as a result the shower could not be used. The homes well water desperately needs a filter for the sulfur smell! The smell was almost unbearable! The home had one AC unit which helped but not for the bedrooms. The air hockey game worked intermittently. The corn hole bags were old, ripped and unusable. The grounds were well overdue for cutting and trimming. One of the kayaks floated but that's about it. The fire wood supplied was pressure treated lumber, which, when burned is highly toxic.

Fred, thank you for sharing your experience, we're glad that you enjoyed the spaciousness of our home and that its location served you well. That said, we apologize for the areas you felt in need of some TLC and we shared your comments with the local manager. They assured us that the corn hole bag that had a hole has been replaced and the air hockey game is working and new instructions have been provided in case any problems arise when using it. They also noted that the home's water filtration system is up to date and running, and it is a high mineral water filter so will have higher mineral content but has been professionally installed and regularly maintained. It was recently checked while the homeowners were on-site, and the filtration system is running and operating correctly. The refrigerator water dispenser was frozen and has since been corrected and we are sorry for any inconvenience. Additionally, the stove is in good working order, the shower doors are operating and all issues have been fixed. We appreciate your feedback as we view it as an opportunity to improve and we hope to have the chance to host you again.

Great Family Getaway
This home was everything you would think a log cabin would be and so much more. The view was spectacular, very secluded and quiet area with so much to offer. The house is fully equipped, you will feel like its home away from home. The game room was such a bonus too!! Jeff and Ellen were so attentive and helpful leading up to our trip.
We spent thanksgiving here, and made some amazing memories. Highly recommend staying at Palisades Pine with your family and/or Friends.
