This is our third stay at this wonderful property and we were very pleased. The large living, light filled living room is perfect for coffee and relaxed evening conversation by the fire. The kitchen is functional and perfect for gathering and enjoying. There is a lot of space to spread out, 2 full bathrooms and outdoor space. This is our favorite when visiting our Cal Poly kid and we’ll be back!

We came for a few few nights to take our teens on a tour of the Cal Poly Humboldt campus, and wanted to stay in the downtown area. If you are looking for a classic bungalow with fun decor, this is the place for you. The home is quite spacious with a big, comfy living room. The queen bedrooms have plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the location, especially being able to walk to the awesome Wildberries Market for morning pastry and coffee, as well as any provisions we needed. Everything was great, so we had no need to contact the owners except for one quick question about recycling. They got back to us right away. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and will look to book there again the next time we are in town.

You cannot ask for a better place near everything in Arcata. Our sencond child graduated from Humbolt. Stayed at many places the last 5 years. This had alot more room. Price was great. Would come back again

The house was spacious and had lovely historic details w/ modern accents. It was very convenient for walking to a market and restaurants, as well as very quick drive to the downtown plaza and the Cal Poly campus. We got right on and off Hwy 101 to go exploring. We'd definitely stay here again.

We rented for several days as a place from which to explore the North Coast region and found it nicely located near Cal Poly and a lot of really amazing restaurants. The house is a beautiful and clean craftsman with wonderful wood floors and molding in most of the rooms. If you like period details and modern tech, you'll appreciate the induction cook-top in the antique stove and the modern fridge made to look old. The house had what we needed and the hosts were thoughtful with suggestions of places to visit. We appreciated the little holiday tree in the front window and the lights turned on to welcome us.We also appreciated the books and games, nightlight, and cozy rooms.

This was such a restful stay, we loved being within walking distance to a fabulous health food grocery. Beds I think are full not queen. Couches super comfy for reading. Kitchen well equipped, I especially appreciated the ceramic plates. Not all windows open but we were able to prop several open during the day to air it out. Overall loved having so much space for an affordable price and getaway.
