About this property
Red Barn Getaway, Mountain View’s with hot tub and firepit and BBQ
The Red Barn House is a gorgeous getaway. The ground floor has a king bedroom with its own TV, a queen bedroom and a bathroom. The house sleeps 4 adults in total. The bathroom bath/shower combo across the hallway from the bedrooms has a bath/ shower combo, double basin vanity and a toilet with bidet function. Upstairs boasts the breathtaking wood vaulted ceiling space, large custom double glazed windows, giving the surrounding nature an immersive peaceful presence in everything you do. This upstairs living area is a favorite for family, friends and guests alike, boasting an open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, a lounge with large TV and a dining area with more space than pictures can capture. The space upstairs features a modern Mini Split heating and cooling system that instantly tailors your comforts at the touch of a button. We recently paved a large outdoor roofed area overlooking MT Rainier and the surrounding cascades to compliment your stay and absorb the Pacific Northwest Iconic scenery. The outdoor patio has a hot tub, a fire pit, and a propane BBQ and seating. The outdoor areas invite guests to spend many hours with their favorite someone for romantic dinners and sundowners alike.
We are surprisingly only 10 minutes from the main shopping , restaurant and movie theatre area, 30 minutes from Seatac, 55 minutes from local ski slopes and lodges, also a few minutes from the pacific raceway and Washington golf course and state parks. White water kayaking, hiking, salmon fishing, mountain biking and endless sightseeing and adventure all around the corner.

About the host
Hosted by Ruth Cogzell

We have designed our houses with many comforts of a home and vacation combined. We love hosting guests from all over the world.
We have both worked in hospitality and communications for many years and we delight in providing excellent customer service and hospitality in all circumstances.
We have lived and travelled all over the world and especially love the sights and sounds of the sea, rivers, mountains, wildlife and nature in the Pacific Northwest.
We have travelled extensively in Washington and can share the hidden gems of where to visit and places to eat at that will make your stay with us that much more unique and memorable.
During the winter months we love how accessible our homes are to the ski resorts, mountains and museums.
In spring and summer our homes are central to a myriad of state parks and idyllic waterfront towns.
Come explore the beauty of the many lakes or the beaches of the Puget sound, hike to waterfall, berry picking farms and spend lazy days on the river or Puget Sound to paddle and tube.
We enjoy making your stay in our homes a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Come stay awhile with us at either Mountain View House, The Red Barn at Mountain View or at Water View House.
Every space so uniquely different. Every space with an incredible view.
Water View House was built in the early 1900’s and we are delighted that you can experience the history and charm of our driftwood and boutique Water View Puget Sound Getaway suite.
Mountain View House has an eagles view over the cascade valley's and Mt Rainier which will take your breath away.
The Red Barn Farmhouse is our original farmhouse barn conversion at Mountain View. It is an idyllic bucolic getaway. Views of the cascade valley are visible from the Barn and we are clearing a tree or 2 for unobstructed Mt Rainier views.
We do also provide our spaces to rent for intimate weddings and elopements.
We look forward to meeting and hosting you.
