With its peaceful location at the edge of a private community fishing pond, Water's Edge is not your typical cabin in the Smokies.
FISHING FUN Few cabins in the smokies offer a fishing pond right out your front door. Catfish, bass and bluegill await your line and no fishing license is required. Water's Edge overlooks a peaceful pond and the closest cabin is 200 feet away. Catch and release fishing only.
ROMANTIC MASTER BEDROOM This pet-friendly log cabin may be a fisherman's paradise outside, but inside it's all about creature comforts. Beautiful vaulted wood ceilings keep this 792 square foot cabin feeling spacious. The king bedroom offers a new mattress, double sided fireplace (available Oct 1-April 1), 25-inch TV and heart shaped jacuzzi. The attached bathroom has a generous walk-in shower.
LIVING AND DINING AREA In the living and dining area, the stacked stone fireplace shares the focal point of the room along with a 42 inch flat screen TV. Enjoy DVD movies, Gamecube video games, free WI-FI or catch a favorite show on TV. The sleeper sofa in the living room folds out to a queen bed. We also have a Pack-N-Play and high chair in the closet if needed.
SCREENED PORCH The hot tub and outside dining area are located on a screened porch that runs the length of the cabin. Rope lights add a festive touch and since it's bug free, you'll find yourself enjoying the outdoor living space that much more. Another plus is that this porch is totally enclosed so your pets can be with you and you don't have to worry about them getting loose.
DINE AT THE CABIN The kitchen is compact but well outfitted for dining in. You'll have plenty of good quality kitchen wares and small appliances for making a simple snack or a BBQ dinner. Hard anodized cookware, Pyrex baking dishes, half sheet baking pans and good quality utensils make up the kitchenware.
NO STAIRS AND EASY ROADS=GREAT ACCESSIBILITY One of the nicest things about Water's Edge is the ease of access. You're 4.5 miles from the heart of Pigeon Forge at Traffic Light 3--only a few minutes away. But with no steep mountain roads to climb, winter time access is very good. Plus if stairs are a concern, the cabin has a simple ramp that leads inside and all living is on one level. (Note: while Water's Edge has easy accessibility, there is a slightly raised threshold at the entry door and the shower floor has raised edge to keep water in the shower base.)
🐾 🐾 HOW TO REQUEST A PET STAY 🐾 🐾
Water's Edge welcomes adult dogs up to 75 pounds. Sorry--no puppies, kittens or cats. The pet stay fee is $125.00 plus tax and is charged PER PET. We appreciate any supporting details so we can determine if you pet is a good fit for the cabin. We may be able to consider two dogs. Dogs must be experienced travelers. Absolutely no confining of pets to the bedroom or bathroom.

We loved the screen in porch. Not enough paper towels or toilet paper, but we made it work. Very clean!!

Thank you for your thoughtful review! So glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for allowing us to host your stay. You are welcome back anytime!
The cabin is super nice and perfect for our little family. The only issue we had was that the sofa bed was too uncomfortable for our son and we had to all sleep in one bed. Overall amazing time and experience and we love the pond and how easy it was to get to places.

We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay! 😊 Come back and visit anytime.
I enjoyed everything about this cabin. Nice location that feels secluded but only 5-10 mins from everything. It was very clean and had everything you could need available. The hot tub was nice, wifi worked great, washer and dryer if needed.

We are so glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay! We’d love to have you back anytime 🙂
The fireplace wasn’t working after the first 2 days. The bed was overly soft. I tried to boil water for hot tea first morning and the burner was so dirty it started smoking. I had to open doors to keep the smoke detectors from going off. The recliner was broken. The listing showed 6 towels, 6 washcloths and 2 rooks of toilet paper. There was only 4 washcloths and only one and a fourth rolls of toilet paper.

Thank you for your feedback. We were able to get the fireplace repaired upon checkout as soon as we were made aware of the issue. We tested the stove to make sure all was good there. We think it may have had either something under the burner that we couldn't see or cleaner that burned off. No further issues. I appreciate the feedback and as a reminder, if there are ever any issues we like to know right away so we can get them fixed for your stay. Thank you for allowing us to host you.
The place was amazing and the communication was even better.Everything about the environment, the communication, the sanitation. The location was perfect for us.We'll be back

We have made a few cleaning changes to step it up so this is exactly what we like to hear! Thank you for your feedback and we would be honored to have you visit again!
The host was very responsive and everything was taken care of. The cabin was great we loved it. We had everything we needed, the hot tub was great at evening end to soak. And it was on a covered enclosed deck which made it perfect as it rained almost the entire week we were there, but it didn’t matter We still had plenty to see and do The location was perfect too. It was our first time to the Smoky Mountain National Park. We definitely would come back and stay in the same cabin. And we loved the fact that it was pet friendly we got to bring our corgi with us.

It sounds like you had a perfect fall getaway in the Smokies! We are thrilled you spent it at Water's Edge and we would be honored to host you and your sweet fur baby again :-)
The cabin was so cute, cozy, and clean. It was in a very peaceful neighborhood but still close to everything we wanted to see. Our pup enjoyed the yard and the view of the pond was a nice bonus.
This was a perfect place to celebrate our 25th anniversary!!

So glad you found Water’s Edge to be a wonderful place to spend your anniversary. We wish you many more celebrations in the Smokies with Blue Mist Cabins.
Hi I'm Jen Monschke and I manage Water's Edge for the owners Larry and Ginny. They purchased the cabin in April 2021. They've been a joy to work with and always want to make sure that guests are comfortable and taken care of. That's what we love to do, so it's a great partnership!
Why they chose this property
Cabins with a water feature are hard to come by and we love to be able to offer this unique setting to our guests. Plus you're less than 5 miles to the heart of Pigeon Forge and about 6-7 miles to Wears Valley and the Foothills Parkway.
What makes this property unique
A great location on a fishing pond. Relaxing views of the water. Take walks along the pond. Have dinner on the screened deck at night with the rope lights turned on. Adult dogs are welcome here with advance approval by the manager (only about 20% of cabins in the Smokies are pet friendly).
