About this property
Creative & Colorful home with pizza oven. 2 miles to beach! SLO nearby too.
Feel at home in our lovely, warm and unique 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house settled on a large lot in the hills of Arroyo Grande (Central Coast of California), just 2 miles from the beach. This is our primary residence. Fully furnished with all the touches and love that have gone into building a thriving and artsy home and garden, a space for entertaining, and place to host travelers from around the world. You will feel the homey difference right away!
Enjoy the fireplace on winter evenings, fire up the pizza oven to try your hand at homemade pizza (ask about this...$45 fee for wood & cleaning), enjoy dinners in the backyard at the large family picnic table. We are travelers, artists, cooks and lovers of nature and you will feel it in our home. Discover the best our Central Coast life style can offer!
This is a 2400 square foot two story house.
Downstairs you'll find:
1 cozy living room with sofa, chairs, bookshelf, TV, board games and fireplace
1 large fully-equipped kitchen/dining room with gas stove/oven, microwave, dish washer, and refrigerator
1 art studio/yoga room (very open, light and airy; we use it for yoga but if you want to use it for yoga you need to bring your own mats and equipment). This studio has a little couch that folds out to a double bed. Sheets are in a box underneath. It can fit two children or one adult.
1 spare room downstairs that could be used as an office/extra living room
1 walk in pantry and laundry room with washer and dryer (clothes line outside too for the eco-friendly)
Half bathroom with sink and toilet with bidet
Upstairs:
1 large master bedroom with a California king size bed and a single bed (behind a privacy curtain) and private bathroom
3 regular bedrooms (two rooms have double beds and one room has a queen size bed) – these 3 bedrooms share 1 bathroom with a shower/tub combo in the hall
Outside:
Front porch
A fenced in grassy backyard has a garden shed and the beautiful pizza oven and bbq (fee for use of pizza oven)
To note: There is a large garden, 25 fruit trees, and a chicken coop in the far back of the property where we have our tiny house. This area is NOT included in the rental. If nobody is staying out there then someone will be coming to the property daily to feed the animals. We use the side entrance to this space and will never be entering the house or private backyard while you are renting. The driveway is shared and we will walk along the far edge of the driveway to enter the back through the side gate.
An outdoor cat, Felix, will often come to say hi. He LOVES attention! If you're highly allergic to cats, our house is not be a good fit. This is our family home and I often let the cat in when I'm home.
All bedrooms are upstairs.
Guests do not have access to the garage, locked office and garden shed (locked). The back part of our property is private, delineated by fences. Large bushes grow all along the backyard which you are renting so it is very private.
If we are close by, we're happy to meet you and show you around the house, if you prefer. Sometimes we are traveling but are available via messaging. A property caretaker lives just 2 miles away but sometimes we are working just at the back of the property, ready to answer any questions you may have!
