Just walking in was an immediate relaxer! We loved everything about this place and around this place. Being able to walk to an incredible island park as well as enjoyable restaurants, live music taproom, and wine shop was a bonus. Look forward to coming back!

Goat House was great!

This place is amazing! Perfect spot if you are visiting the National Whitewater Center. There are also close places to walk to for dinner for the residence.

Top notch accommodations with a very unique, artistic, and modern style! This gorgeous place has so many amenities and special touches by Tammy the owner. From firewood and smores kits, snacks, games in the backyard, pet supplies for your fury friend, all you can need to cook up great meals, bikes, kayaks, passes for the recreation complex across the street, and great trails nearby. Tammy is so kind and accommodating that her and her husband went above and beyond to make my stay perfect in every way!

This picture does not do the space justice. The kitchen and living room are airy, bright, and the mural on the left is fantastic! I loved the electric fireplace under the TV. Perfect place to hang out and wind down after a busy day.
The island in the kitchen is one of a kind. There is even a coffee bar with all the fixings.

Nice place to stay!

It was our second time staying. We were just passing through town and didn't have time to enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of the place. We will definitely stay again! Nicely decorated, and a newly remodeled outdoor patio and firepit to check out when we have more time!

This adorable Vrbo has earned every bit of its 5-star reviews. The property was clean and well-maintained. We loved the neighborhood! The suite was beautiful and very modern. The ambiance felt more like an upscale resort. The amenities were perfect, and we can’t wait to return once the weather is warmer to enjoy more of the outdoors activities available.

Goat Island Has It All

Such a wonderful place that has so many extras! We will need to come back in the summer to take advantage of all the free outdoor activities that is included with the property. This one has it all!

Nice place!

My wife and I have been traveling to different states over the last couple years and have had many opportunities to stay in various rentals. This one absolutely delivered on what it promised. Very clean, updated, and with a thoughtful owner. The space was nice. The backyard was nice. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location

Property is beautiful, convenient, very well appointed, and perfect for a get away. We loved all the home and area had to offer and took full advantage of the bikes, goat island, downtown, and the town of Belmont. Yard was perfect for letting the dogs get some exercise. Enjoyed the corn hole boards and relaxing on the deck. Kitchen was well stocked and Tammy thought of every welcoming detail. We hope to return again soon!

Home away from Home

The accommodations were inviting and made my family and I comfortable from the moment we walked in. Outside of the amenities that the property has to offer, it also has access to a community pool and other options for any age range. Lastly the host was VERY helpful and prompt with suggestions and any questions we had. LOVED IT!!!

Our entire experience from start to finish was amazing! Tammy is a very thoughtful and intentional host! The home is beautifully decorated, IMMACULATELY clean and has a warm relaxing vibe! All of your getaway needs are waiting for you and her Welcome Book is full of great recommendations! We had a chance to try Nellie’s and it was delicious! Sooo much to do and enjoy in the area. It’s close to Goat Island and The U.S. National Whitewater Center. Something for all ages! Tammy also supplies Kayaks and a tandem bike! We definitely want to come back for a longer stay to try the bike! Read the listing and you’ll see several other amenities that we simply ran out of time for. All I can say is this picky “design loving” “clean freak girl” felt right at home! Don’t even get me started on the living room wall mural!!! So cool! I highly recommend this home! It was such a pleasure staying there and working with Tammy!

Lots of special touches

Tammy is a wonderful host and will make you feel very welcome with all the special touches. The house is super clean, very comfortable with lots of extra amenities. The backyard cornhole was a favorite. Our family also enjoyed walking to dinner and Mayworth's Public House and exploring goat island (and the ping pong). We drove to the Whitewater Center daily, usually just a 20 min drive.

This precious cottage has it all! A great retreat and getaway. From the fine linens, to the well stocked kitchen, recreational amenities including bikes, fire pit and cornhole, and fun whimsical decor, this property exceeds all expectations. Whether you are visiting family or seeking adventure, Goat Island Getaway provides the perfect resting spot. Walking distance to a great park, cute restaurants and coffee shop. I highly recommend. Absolutely wonderful place, just as described. A MUST STAY!

Very well maintained property, great location & within walking distance of the local town. The VRBO Hostess Tammy was very responsive to my many questions. The place was very clean, had great information about the area, and there were many treats for guests to enjoy (including a bottle of wine). There were many things that the home had available for use (bikes, kayaks, corn hole, fire pit, etc) but we didn’t have much free time. Will definitely consider coming back to this VRBO to take advantage on our next trip to the Charlotte area. Thank you Tammy for being such a wonderful and gracious hostess!!!

Beautiful home & host

The home is beautiful and exactly as described. The host, Tammy is very accommodating and provided many recommendations. We ate at Floyd & Blackies down the street and Webb Custom Kitchen for my husband’s birthday. There were snacks & water provided. My husband enjoyed his “staycation birthday”. Kayaking launching dock is about 2 blocks up the street. Room Tip for Nanny Suite - Teal bedroom has the firm mattress and yellow room has the less firm/softer mattress. Bathroom is beautifully designed. Everything went well. Thanks Tammy & GIG!
