The Cabin was the perfect space for my family in our trip to Dodge Ridge for Skiing. My kids LOVED coming back to the cabin and getting the fire going in the fireplace, curling up on the couch and drinking hot chocolate. It was in such a great a convenient location. We had a great stay here.
This was the perfect cabin to stay at for a couple of days skiing/snowboarding in winter. What was also lovely even though we stopped to buy firewood there was plenty on our arrival. We would consider the Little Red Cabin again for future trips!
We enjoyed our stay in Sherwood Forest. Emily warned us it would be hot and it was. We enjoyed walking along the Flume nearby and getting ice cream in Twain Harte. We'd love to stay here again.
Our family enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin, especially soaking in the woods on the big deck and making smores in the fireplace. The cabin was also thoughtfully well-stocked with toiletries and kitchen essentials (cooking oil, spices, cookware, etc.). Short drive to Dodge Ridge for some skiing. Thank you and we hope to be back!

Thank you for the lovely review and please do come back again sometime!
Amazing one night stay. The cabin had everything we needed - would have loved to spend more nights.
It’s a great feeling when a house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more - extra propane, good grill tools, soap, towels, kitchen tools.
The front deck was perfect for shade during the day, and the back for evening once it cooled off outside.
Water cooled AC unit in the master was very nice.

What a nice review! So glad you enjoyed and that you felt the cabin had what you needed. Come back anytime.
We found Emily’s cabin very cosy and comfortable. The views from the deck were lovely and we loved the outdoor lights on the deck in the evening. We also enjoyed having the wood burning stove on the chilly mornings.
The kitchen had everything we needed except for a couple of utensils, which I mentioned to the owner.
Overall, it was a great week and we would definitely stay there again!
We stayed for a weekend at this very cute and cozy cabin with our family of four (2 and 4 year old kids). The cabin was very comfortable and we had fun using the wood stove and making Smores! There is a creek nearby and we could hear a lot of frogs croaking, which our kids thought was great. About 30 min to Dodge Ridge where we took the kiddos skiing, and just a few min to downtain Twain Harte where we had a couple nice dinners. Definitely recommend!
Emily was a good hostess. she answered all the doubts we had and told us about places we could visit. the only suggestion I have is for the person who clean the cabin to be more careful with the sheets and towels that had a lot of musty smell
We enjoyed our summer 2 day stay at the cozy cabin.
The PROS: the beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens available. The host was apologetic to our letting her know of a wasp nest inside the patio umbrella. The cabin was a short drive to trails for running/hiking.
The CONS: the house was 92 degrees inside when we arrived. It took several hours for it to cool down. Thankfully the AC unit worked.
The pans for cooking were left with sticky gunk on them- unfortunately the house cleaner did not make sure dishes were clean.
The windowsills were filthy and spider webs were abundant- even on the refrigerator. While the house was “clean” it had likely not been deep cleaned for quite a while. Even the floors were dirty.
The cleaning fee we were charged upon booking did not seem to cover actual cleaning. We were asked to wash our towels and all dishes. However, there was only 1 Tide pod in the cabinet, which was not helpful for doing our own laundry.
While we enjoyed our time in the mountains, we would not stay here again.

Sorry to hear that you found the place not to your satisfaction in cleanliness. I’ll pass along the information to our house cleaner so they can pay attention to those things. Sometimes guests don’t do the best job cleaning dishes.
Doing dishes and starting a wash seems pretty minimal and basic as cleaning responsibilities for guests but perhaps a hotel would be better suited to your tastes. Washing one’s own dishes is just a respectful thing to do- we don’t have maid service.
Glad to also report that the hornets were eradicated after your stay. A bear did start knocking over garbages however. Life in the mountains comes with lots of interesting challenges.

I live in Santa Cruz but I love the Twain Harte area. I have been bringing my family up there for many years. Finally bought a cabin there in 2022.
Why they chose this property
Love Pincecrest lake and the trails and mountains up and down the 108. Sonora Pass and the back side of the Sierras are spectacular. There's so much to do!
What makes this property unique
It's very nice and quiet and peaceful. Love evenings out on the back deck.
