An excellent location with an easy drive to Snowriver Resorts, Copper Peak, Lake Superior, Black River Harbor, Presque Isle River waterfalls, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, Lake of the Clouds and numerous other popular tourist attractions. The classic A-Frame Chalet will provide your whole family a clean comfortable place to enjoy and relax after an adventure filled day taking in all that the area has to offer.
The chalet provides plenty of room for up to 8 people to spread out and relax. Four bedrooms with a total of six beds. There are two bedrooms on the main floor one with queen bed, one with two twin beds and desk. Two additional bedrooms on the 2nd floor one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds. The upstairs room with twin beds has a desk and a 42" smart ROKU tv that can be used for work or play (bring your hdmi or other input cable and connect your gaming system, your laptop, or other devices). Linens for all the beds are provided.
The two bathrooms are set-up to make getting ready easy. The main floor bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The 2nd floor bathroom is set-up for privacy, even when several need to get ready. There are two separate sinks in a common area. The shower/tub combo is in a separate room for privacy, as is the 2nd floor toilet. All the bathrooms are stocked with towels and wash-clothes, along with small toiletries for your use.
If you decide to stay-in for some meals, our updated, modern style kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to fix your favorites. But First Coffee! A Keurig and a Mr. Coffee drip are provided so you can start your day with a favorite cup of coffee or enjoy a hot-chocolate after playing in the snow.
The outdoor space is great for a day of relaxing with family and friends. A large fire-pit with grill surface, Adirondack chairs and available hammocks is a wonderful place for a quiet evening making smore's, roasting hot-dogs or whatever else you want to cook over an open fire. The large deck area has a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and rockers where you can enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds. The outdoor space is perfect for all evenings!
After an adventurous day, enjoy time in the indoor SAUNA. The traditional cedar-wood sauna, located on the 2nd floor will melt your problems away as you enjoy the many health benefits of this traditional Finnish activity. Easy to use controls for the electric heat – set the temperature and the timer and have a seat in the sauna. Enjoy the dry heat or use the convenient tap to pour a little water on the rocks and steam it up. Maybe you’ll even want to try the “Finnish Hot/Cold Contrast Therapy” – a few minutes in the sauna followed by a roll in the snow.
Even though we are a traditional “ski chalet”, there are many attractions and activities to enjoy in the area. Experience adventures in all 4 seasons. Along with great skiing, you can find snowmobiling, biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fishing, waterfalls, and many off-road (ATV/UTV) adventures. There are historic theaters, breweries, great mom & pop restaurants, and unique shops. The Fourth of July Celebrations are outstanding as well. Make us your home-base for enjoying them all!
Escape “Up North” and breathe in the fresh air! Experience a place where the skies always seem bluer, the pine trees smell sweeter, and the pace of everyday life is calmer.

The chalet was well stocked with supplies and was very child and dog friendly! Super comfy and cozy. Hosts were very responsive and when a maintenance issue arose, someone was there within the hour to fix it.

Amazing A frame! We had a great time staying at this A frame. The unit had everything we needed for cooking and there was space for the five of us. There was nice attention to detail and the beds were comfortable. Great location. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you Benny!! We’re glad you enjoyed the stay and would love to host you there again when you’re back in the U.P.
We've stayed here several times. It's everything you'd want in a place. Very neat and furnished well. Beds are comfy and big kitchen. Oh, a great sauna too and who doesn't like that.Quiet area near the ski hills or great biking/hiking trails.
We'd never stayed in a north woods A-frame before, so this was a really cool experience for us. House is very clean and there were many thoughtful details put into making it feel like home. The area is so quiet and peaceful and being surrounded by trees added to the serene feeling. There's an awesome fire pit and huge deck to enjoy too.

This place was amazing and offers all the amenities you will need. The location is perfect and in close proximity to a lot of fun places to adventure. (Ex: Cooper Peak, Black River Waterfall, and so much more) We highly recommend the chalet!
Tom and Patty thought of literally everything that a traveler wants and needs! I don't know what more to say about this home; it is one of the coziest and most comfortable our family has stayed in, and we recommend it to anyone traveling to this area. The communication is also fantastic! Thank you!!
This cabin was a wonderful base for exploring the western UP. The cabin was more than enough for the two of us and our dog, it could easily host a family. The cabin was very comfortable and the sauna is a fantastic extra touch. We happened to visit during a heat wave but were happy to discover the air conditioning works great. We would definitely rent this cabin again if we need a place to stay in this area in the future!
