Me and my fiance had just an amazing time. The owners were great with communication and helped with getting fire wood for the pit out back. The view and seclusion was everything we wanted. The local towns have plenty to eat and do in the area. No Ubers or lyfts in the area so keep that in mind when going out at night. I can't recommend this place more. They even left slippers at the door.
This cottage is gorgeously renovated, fully equipped, and meticulously maintained--sitting above the Hudson River with spectacular unobstructed views. A bald eagle perched itself on a branch directly in front of us when we arrived. We saw countless otherbirds of prey and other birds during our visit. We will return.

About the host
Hosted by Anne Rollett
We are North River Property Management, a boutique property management company in the Hudson Valley managing a selection of unique, smaller homes throughout the area. We started North River after transplanting from New York City and London, and strive to provide big city efficiency with a small town approach to personalized attention. As avid travelers ourselves, we understand that having a comfortable base can be the difference between having a mediocre trip and a great trip.
Arthur's cabin is our own property and as such we pay attention to every detail. We have tried to balance style, function and comfort and want all our guests to feel relaxed and at home from the first minute they arrive.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the property because of the view. The river is alive and constantly changing. Between nature and the weather, it means that no 2 days are the same. We feel very lucky to have all this on our doorstep and at the same time be a 5 minute drive to a great slice of pizza and a good glass of wine!
What makes this property unique
On any given day you will see dozens of garden different birds, but this area is known particularly for birds of prey. You are very likely to see bald eagles, ospreys, red tail hawks and cooper hawks, so be sure to look up! The eagles like to sit and fish from the tall trees in front of the cabin and you may hear their call which is a very distinctive, high pitched whistling or piping sound.
