Check in very easy, host will answer any questions promptly. It was very cozy and comfortable. If we travel to Mobile again we will definitely stay there again!
Paula’s Place was exactly what we needed when we went to Mobile because of the family emergency. It’s location for us was ideal. They fixed Yard was heavenly for our two dogs to travel with us. Paula and her son were a great host and communicated very well.
The hosts are amazing and very accommodating. The property was just what I need for the price. The house is clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay again!
For our first time staying in a Vrbo, we were impressed with the amount of space for the price. The whole house was clean, and our communication with Paula and John made us feel welcome and invited. We had full access to everything on the property, and it was nestled in a small community that felt safe. The house is located close enough to many attractions to be convenient but not claustrophobic.
Great place for a get away. The manager is super nice and helpful. The property is completely fenced in. I brought a 20 foot boat which barely fit between the gate but it did. The air conditioning was absolutely amazing! The shower water pressure was also the best I have ever experienced. Would go back.
It’s nothing fancy but it had everything we needed, even emergency hot sauce! Paula was very accommodating! The five of us and our dog had a fantastic time.

Close to the coast but not in the hustle ans bustle
We stayed a long weekend at Paula’s place, Paula and her son were great through the whole process. Easy check in check out the house could use a little updating and a few changes but overall for the price and location it wasn’t bad.

The yard being fenced completely (once you shut the gate) was a bonus for us since we had our 2 dogs with us. The yard and trailer were both pleasant. The owner was quick to respond to questions. All in all a great stay!

Will return again!
This is a great place to stay if you'd like to see Mobile and Dauphin Island. The yard is fenced in which was good for our dogs. Spacious and clean. We encountered a minor issue with a sink, the hosts were apologetic and fantastic to talk with. Will stay again.
Liked the wrap around fence only thing i didnt like was cameras front and back but i understand the need to secure property , but didnt feel comfortable laying out to tan on back deck bc cameras but i guess that is everywhere these days

Misleading description my first VRBO experience
The home hits you with a mold/mildew smell immediately. There are dirty fingerprints on every door and some light switches. The toaster oven was filthy. Our master bath shower curtain had mold on it. The second bathroom had some stinky smell also. The living room rug was very dirty. All the floors and corners were filthy. We did not feel comfortable cooking or eating here. We had headaches while there that went away once we were out the house for a while. Lots of things were in disrepair (cabinets, baseboards, tub walls) but I can over look those things if the place was CLEAN. You feel dirty just being there. The mold smell can not be safe. It’s overwhelming. The out door griddle was filthy. We left early. There was no way I could stay any longer. We would have left sooner but with 3 dogs we had no other option.
There were dead bugs on window sills. I took multiple pictures, but you can’t photograph a smell. This place needs a deep cleaning.
Spent some time in Central America before working 25 years at University of South Alabama Hosptial in Mobile, AL. Love family and animals. I found this place and fell in love with the area. I hope that you enjoy your stay in Mobile, Alabama.
Why they chose this property
This property gives the freedom to focus on your work, your family, fellowship and not worry about lodging. Fully functional kitchen, plenty of space inside and out. Large den, deck, yard, washer and dryer and more. It's a laid back environment with large, covered deck to hang out on and a large yard with a fire pit if you like to hang out by the fire. Close to the city and 1/2 hour you can be on a really nice beach watching the sunset. The only area that is restricted is owners closet and shed. Nothing exciting. Vaccuum, mop bucket, some supplies and other boring stuff in those two spaces. Everywhere else is yours.
What makes this property unique
In the late fall I have tons of oranges on the orange tree. There is another citrus tree as well and guest are welcome to partake. There is a gas griddle in the front and a charcoal grill in the back beside the fire pit. Several eating tables 1. dining room off the kitchen and 2. on the covered deck 3. on the back deck.
There are a couple of cheap kayaks on the property. My grandkids sometimes take them to the river or the beach. I advise bringing a life jacket if you think you may want to use them. There is a little trailer on the property and feel free to use it if you have a trailer hitch. It can haul bikes or kayaks or toys for the area. The connection is a 1 7/8 ball and not the common 2 inch hitch.
