About this property

Victorian cottage overlooking downtown Oak Bluffs and the Harbor.

Come stay at our quaint Victorian cottage overlooking downtown Oak Bluffs and the Harbor, which are just a few blocks away within easy walking distance. The cottage sits on the edge of a large park bordering the aptly named Sunset Lake, so it's like having an extra-large front yard for games of frisbee or flying kites. There's a few public beaches within walking distance (just over a half mile), or you can drive to them or anywhere on the island in minutes. The house is not fancy, but it has everything you need to make it home base for your island adventure. The fabled Cottage City cottages are just across the park, as is the Oak Bluffs main street and nightlife.

Vintage home in great location with harbor views

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Easy check-in and host instructions. Great sunrise views. Easy walk to the best of Oak Bluffs. On bus route for easy access to the rest of the island and to airport. Kitchen was well equipped with necessary housewares. WiFi was excellent. The house is a beautiful vintage Victorian with the quirks of an older home built in 1870, such as limited electrical outlets and uniquely located bathrooms. After first night felt like home. Host was quick to communicate updates and information. A lovely stay. We would rent again.

The location of the house was perfect—right in the middle of everything in Oak Bluffs. It’s an older home with a lot of charm, though not very kid-friendly.The host was friendly and responsive. However, when we arrived on Thursday, the house had not been cleaned. We reached out, but the cleaning crew wasn’t able to come until the next day, which meant we had to wash the sheets ourselves that night. When the cleaners did come, they mistakenly put dirty blankets back on the bed, though they corrected it once we pointed it out. This may have been a one-time issue, and aside from that, our stay was enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great location and appreciate historic homes, I would definitely recommend this place.
