Enjoy our Private Hot tub surrounded by forest. Callahan valley Nordic center is located a short drive down the highway and has excellent cross country skiing and snow shoeing We have our own private lake/beach and tennis courts and relaxing trails for mountain biking. One of the best hiking areas in Whistler is five minutes away, Black Tusk Mountain.

Our home has a warm ambiance with Pine floors and heated slate flooring in our downstairs bathroom and hallway.
Persian rugs, and antiques add comfort and charm. There are three large bedrooms, each bed has a cozy duvet. The master bedroom is on the main floor. The large loft has table tennis and our den is a great spot to look out over our deck and watch the latest DVD or the birds feeding in one of our several bird feeders. The kitchen is fully-equipped and we have a full-size washer and dryer.

Excellent Stay! Highly recommend.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Pinecrest estates near Whistler. The neighbourhood is very peaceful full of many friendly neighbours. The house was well appointment with all the amenities required for a longer stay. Some of the highlights included the gorgeous and tranquil hot tub and side deck , good sized chiefs kitchen overlooking entertaining areas, and ping pong/ games room on the second floor. Cozy nights spent around the well stocked wood burning fireplace followed by comfortable sleeps on quality mattresses. We would definitely love to stay back at Neil and Mary’s gorgeous chalet again!

Amazing Family Vacation
Ended up stumbling on this place and so glad I did. We had our family up with our 16 month old and it was perfect. Crib and high stool were there. We were steps away from the beach and the forest. The hot tub was great to use after swimming in the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. It's close enough to everything if you forget something and you truly feel like you are in a cabin in the woods. If I was to say something negative it was all the little cabin nick knacks that our toddler wanted go play with had to be moved out of reach. Thank you Marg.

The best cabin ever !!
We were so lucky and thankful to have a month in this super cozy cabin on this idyllic lake. Think the price is way too low for this amazing huge cabin with everything you will ever need and told the great owners that. Hope nobody reads this though as we are hoping it will be our hidden treasure every year now !!

Very comfy cabin, great for a family stay
We booked this property for the month of December to enjoy family time with our children and grandchild. It was perfect for us- cozy, furnished in a warm, relaxed manner complete with a wood stove, hot tub and ping pong table. Easy drive to Whistler for ski days as well as Callaghan for cross-country.. The house is very private, nestled in the woods on the edge of a deep ravine- great walking neighbourhood. Beds were comfy, check-in easy and smooth and we were especially delighted that Marg had decorated the house for Christmas, complete with a trimmed tree to welcome us. Thanks for a great stay!

Nothing shy of perfect
Our family (dad, mom, and three boys ages 9, 7, and 6) spent the month of July at the Tennant’s beautiful cabin. Everything was perfect - clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. We traveled to the Squamish/Whistler area to climb and hike. If you have a chance, hike the Joffre Lakes - they are amazing. It was an incredible feeling knowing that at the end of each day, we had a great place to retire to in the evening. The hot tub is a great touch and a service team maintains it once a week. It was always crystal clear, clean, and the chemicals were spot on. Our family enjoyed the ping pong table every day. In fact, I think we decided to purchase one when we return home! Past reviews noted that the TV situation was less than ideal. Since that posting, the owners have added a large TV with an Apple TV. We definitely binged some shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video during our stay. The beds were all comfortable and the bedrooms are nice and dark. We loved the train visits. They were fun for the boys and never woke us up at night. We also enjoyed several trips to the lake, which is directly across the driveway (1 minute walk). The water was clean, refreshing, and not too cold to enjoy some swimming. We thoroughly enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and looked forward to eating together at the large dining table each night. It sounds funny, but the heated floors in the hallway and bathroom are amazing! We had a blast and this was a trip of a lifetime. When we return to Squamish and Whistler, we will return to the Tennant’s cabin. There’s no need to look at other properties. The communication was stellar, check in and out was so simple, and we left wanting nothing more. It was perfect.

Great cabin in quiet and cosy location. Great hosts!
Great cabin for children with amazing hosts that answers you questions really fast. Nice and clean tub outside and a cosy fireplace inside. Really confortable beds, clean and a kitchen that has the things you need for cooking. Close to a lake that has a play ground, beach in the summer and ice skating area in the winter. It takes 20 mins to Whistler and Squamish and there is a lot to do and explore near Pinecrest. I relly recommend this cabin, would love to go back there again!

Confortable cabin in a quiet community. Perfect for peoples who wants he best value for their dollar
When we arrived, the cabin was clean but temperature was set at 10 C. So we had to set the thermostat at 22 and to light a fire in the fireplace! Wow! One hour later and for the rest of our one month stay we feeled comfortable and relaxed! Peaceful location. Spa well maintained by pros. The only negative point: no cable TV but unlimited Wi-Fi. As we don't like to look at TV on a cell Phone or a Tablet and as the only old TV in the cabin is not set for Wi-Fi... we had no TV for one month! We were not prepared for that cure but we survived! It is probably easy and not complicated or expensive for the owner to improve that point. We greatly recommand that place for people who want to relax in a rustic setting... far away from the crowd and all associated animations, pubs, etc. Well located, only 25 minutes ride to reach the Whistler parking lot!!! Ho! Beds are comfortable! Richard Giguère , Les Éboulements, QC

Very warm and friendly cabin in an idyllic location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. The cabin is full of interesting antique items and collectibles. I almost wish there was a guide book to explain everything! The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable and met our needs perfectly. The kitchen had quite new appliances and was well stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, pots, pans, etc. We loved sitting in the hot-tub and watching the snow quietly fall, and then getting treated to the sight of a train passing just feet away, but about forty feet below, in the railway cut -- truly a unique perspective. When we weren't off skiing we went for a couple of walks in and around the small lakes of Pinecrest.

Cozy home on gorgeous lake!
We loved our time at this property. Surrounded by trees and short walk to the lake. The house is lovely and the hot tub is super relaxing. I am planning our next stay already. Marg and Neil are lovely hosts and there were zero hassles the whole trip. The cabin lacks nothing and the arrival was a breeze. Best VRBO experience to date.

Beautiful cabin,great location!
It's a beautiful cabin full off antiques and family memorabilia, I don't know how often owners visit there but we are charge cleaning fee and cleaning service doesn't do a great job! Cooking pots are grease dirty(there is a dishwasher),all antiques cover with dust, inside the kitchen cabinets filthy dirty(drawers) not plesent to even stick your fingers in. I wash both bedding (we use 2 bedrooms) and dry before leaving also start a load of towels.Train goes by the house very close, during the day it's ok but if it comes at 4:30AM honking like 5 times can be very alarming.Thank you for a vine but could not have it.Electronics in tv room didn't see any cleaning for long time very dusty, common garbage area overflowing with garbage.

Cozy house, perfect for families!
We had two families here for 3 nights and loved it, very cozy, loved the separate TV room and hot tub. Kids loved the games upstairs! Only complaint was the bunk bed- very creaky and noisy. We ended up taking mattresses off and moving to floor. Otherwise great!

Great stay in a relaxing space
We had a great stay at Marg and Neil's with friends and family. The home is close to Whistler and Squamish for easy access to amenities and activities, but also removed enough to encourage true relaxation and family time. The space was great for two families with young kids, with separate spaces to spend time and great flow - open concept but also with spaces to spend time apart. We look forward to returning.

Wonderful ski house
My family and friends joined me for a wonderful week at the Tennant's house as a base for skiing at Whistler. The location is very good - it is about 25 min south of Whistler Village, so it is also 25 min closer to Vancouver airport which worked very well for us as we had several people arriving and leaving during the week. I have previously stayed at ski-in ski-out at Whistler, which is obviously convenient for skiing, but this time we wanted to stay away from the main mountain in order to see a little more of this area of BC. This house worked well from that perspective - for example we could drive just 30 min to Squamish for shopping and to dine at the very good Indian restaurant and English fish and chip/pie restaurant. The house itself is beautiful and well equipped with everything you could need. Everything is exactly as described. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfortable and the wood stove is easy to use and makes the house toasty! I spent one day relaxing at the house and it was very cosy. The very occasional train passing (only one or two day for the most part) adds interest and was not a disturbance at all. Another day my wife and I had a nice outing to nearby Brandywine falls and the nordic skiing center, with dinner at the Pony restaurant in Pemberton (excellent food and beer selection in a pub-like restaurant with great atmosphere and views). We had several inches or more of snow on several days while we were there, but this was not a problem because the neighborhood and our driveway were plowed regularly and the driveway was also salted. I should also say that we could see this would be a great place to stay in the summer - such a beautiful area for hiking, or mountain biking at Whistler etc. Marg and Neil were a delight to work with throughout the booking process and while we were staying at the house. They were always very responsive to any questions. During our stay there was a short water outage for a few hours due to some pipe work being done in the neighborhood. Marg and Neil kept on top of it, contacting the caretaker and keeping us updated with information which helped to make it only a very minor inconvenience. In summary, we highly recommend staying at this property and hope to stay there again ourselves on a future trip to the area.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful family gathering to celebrate Christmas & a birthday. We couldn't have asked for more. Lovely home, great family area, wood stove & hot tub are just a few of the highlights. We were fortunate to have fresh snow so it looked like a winter wonderland. Great walking, skiing & snow shoeing. Hope to return.

Great cabin and great location!
We loved this beautiful cabin! It is situated perfectly with gorgeous views out the back. It is well stocked with everything you need. Lots of wood for the wood stove, washer/dryer with laundry soap, kitchen well stocked, BBQ, nice towels/linens and beds were comfortable (pillows were ok). The cabin has a fun games room with ping pong and bubble hockey etc. which we all enjoyed! Beautiful area to walk and snowshoe around. Enjoyed the hot tub and the sound of the train. This location is close to Whistler which is perfect. We would definitely return here....kids and adults all had a great time!! Thanks for letting us enjoy your place!

The house is amazing and both Neil and Marg are amazing
The owner are great, I changed my dates because my family trip was shortened and they respected the cancellation date for the day we were not using. Also Neil was kind and was able to fulfill our needs on how to use many of the things inside the cabin. My family in-laws and myself had a good time in this cozy place. The fireplace is warm enough for the entire house and the hockey table is just amazing, we had multiple tournaments and above all, fun. I wish we stayed there a little longer :) Thank you Neil for being so reachable and a great host.

Host profile image
Hi , from Neil and Marg the owners of this property. Neil is a structural Engineer and Marg is a Nurse. A few years ago we decided we wanted to have recreational property for our growing family, so we carefully looked at various properties in the Whistler area. We decided on Pinecrest for many reasons...the unique setting that provides a peaceful rural atmosphere plus having our own lake, tennis courts, relaxing walking trails and is a short drive to the growing Whistler Resort.
We find our area especially wonderful for families with no worries about traffic, kids can bike around our roads safely and it is just a short stroll down to the beach area of our Lake.
