Updated and fully renovated in 2022 this spacious yet cozy cabin is located in the North Georgia Mountains. Guests can sip coffee over stunning water views from the screened-in porch before heading into town or deep into the mountains. Some guests choose to stay at the cabin and rejuvenate. If so, we recommend lounging in the living room before the fireplace or sway in the swing overlooking the water. Whether you choose to rest or explore, there’s a covered hot tub waiting for you at the end of the day, and the outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to eat s’mores and stargaze.

This property is only a 15 min drive to family-friendly and vibrant downtown Blue Ridge. Outdoor recreation only 10 min away: mountain trails, fishing, biking trails, horseback riding, ziplining, and lake. A fully stocked kitchen including coffee supplies, comfortable living room, screened-in porch, gas grill, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart televisions, ample parking, gas-burning fireplace (seasonal), washer/dryer, iron, hair dryers, extra towels and much more!

For safety and security purposes, there is one Ring Camera on the front porch facing the driveway. The device is motion activated and has the ability to detect and record audio and visual input. This is an amazing place to stay in the mountains of N Ga. The cabin is incredible with a private lake, fire pit, tons of outdoor seating and great views. The hosts were way beyond expectations. They thought of every detail you can imagine to make our stay the best. The location is great as well being close to Blue Ridge, yet in a quiet setting just outside of town. We will definitely be back to stay here again.

This place was an amazing family getaway. The cabin was immaculate, warm and inviting. Every little detail and extras had a lot of thought put in it. It had everything you could imagine, from kayaking and fishing to hot tub, fire pit and games. You could enjoy a book dockside or early morning coffee on the screened in porch over looking the lake. Close to Blue Ridge and other activities. Elizabeth and Ed were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back!

This cabin is so nice and well taken care of. It's peaceful and the view is great. There was a family of deer that came through every morning to watch. We were about 15-30 mins from things we wanted to go do when we weren't hanging out at the cabin. The hosts were very quick to respond the few times I reached out. They had games, fishing poles, kayaks, firewood, and several other extra touches that were so nice to have.

Perfect little hidden gem

This home is gorgeous! It is beautifully decorated & the owners have put so much careful thought into every little detail. The private lake is clean enough to swim in & stocked very well with fish. The home is located in a quiet area, but is still the perfect distance from all activities. Highly recommend!

Nice getaway

Great cabin with lots to do. Kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the lake. Lots of different sitting areas outside and the deck was really nice.

Great Property Lots of Fun

We had a great time during our stay. This lakehouse on a private lake was the perfect fall break getaway. Just a few hours north of Atlanta, the mountain atmosphere creates the perfect place to spend time as a family. Hidden gem.

Wonderful get away cabin

We loved our time at Mountain Paddle! Incredibly clean and set up well. Lots to do to keep the kids happy. We all enjoyed the dock and hot tub.

Beautiful Cabin on the Lake

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful comfortable and very clean cabin on the lake. My husband enjoyed fishing in the lake as well. The cabin is in a great location with easy access and is not far from downtown Blue Ridge. The owners were very accommodating and communicated well. We plan to stay here again!

The cabin is cozy and owner have thought about everything to make you feel at home.

It is indeed a place to scape the crowd and noise. Very peaceful place with places nearby for hiking and wild life. The cabin is very well decorated and has everything you need for a very comfortable staying. We will definitely come back and we highly recommend it.

Relaxing getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin is well stocked and very clean. Our favorite part was enjoying the outside areas of the property. We spent a lot of time outside reading, fishing, and kayaking. The owner was great and very communicative. Would love to stay here again.

Relaxing Vacation

We have stayed at this cabin multiple times and this time was the best yet. The added features, outdoor staircase and fire pit, were needed improvements that made it enjoyable for everyone. They owners were easy to work with and had the place fully stocked. We will definitely come back to our favorite cabin!

I recently stayed at this cabin for the weekend, with my family, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain house! The home was spotless, bright, and clearly well cared for. It has been recently renovated making it modern and bright. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need and more.When we arrived, we were greeted with the sweetest welcome basket filled with snacks, supplies to make s’mores, and everything we needed to start a cozy fire. Our kids especially loved the glow sticks and funny mustaches that they wore while fishing. This was such a thoughtful touch!We started our trip fishing in the pond before heading into downtown Blue Ridge to shop and enjoy some amazing restaurants. That evening, we came back to more fishing, a warm fire, and s’mores with hot chocolate.The next day, we spent the whole day at the house, and it was perfect. The boys fished, took out the canoe and kayaks, and we all enjoyed a relaxing day outdoors bundled up by the water. We took a little break to warm up in the hot tub before ordering takeout. Then, we finished the night just like before; with a fire, s’mores, and hot chocolate.It was the perfect family getaway. Charming and well appointed cozy cabin!

We truly enjoyed how warm and inviting this cabin was. In every nook and corner, it was apparent that the hosts Elizabeth and Ed were thoughtful in providing an enriched stay. The welcome basket was a nice touch and so were all the games on the lower level. Hot tub and fireplace were perfect for the slightly cooler weather that we had on our weekend. Kitchen was well stocked with every thing you needed to stay in comfortably. We'll definitely be back at some point.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was clean warm and totally inviting and decorated to the hilt with all the cabin-like features. It was truly more than we expected. Fully stocked with all the extra amenities that made you feel like home. The only concern we had that the stairs could have had some non-skid mats for a little more safety. Wonderful, we would definitely stay there again. Thank you opening up your cabin to us

Beautiful home tucked far enough away but close enough to town and adventure. However, you may not want to leave. Mountain Paddle Retreat has everything you’ll need to get away from it all. Clean, well maintained, every kitchen gadget and basic personal need furnished. Fishing for the guys and cozy reading spots for us ladies. Check in and out we’re easy. The Place to Stay

I want to start by thanking the hosts, Ed and Elizabeth. My family and friends regularly visit North GA every summer for vacation with our children. We are originally from Ukraine, and unfortunately, now we can not go back home to see our family. So, during the summer, we take a trip to North GA. The area reminds us of our home. This was our first time booking our vacation trip with Ed and Elizabeth. From the moment we pulled into their driveway, and the moment we left, it was magically created by the owners. The Mountain Paddle Cabin was easy to find and very clean, with all the needed kitchen, bathroom, and waterfront supplies. Ed and Elizabeth were very kind to us. They provided us at arrival with the 4th of July Holiday basket. We created many fun memories from our stay at the cabin.

Deer haven

As others have said, this was a fantastic spot close to Blue Ridge and Blairsville. The cabin was well stocked with just about everything you need when you're at home. I had packed many items I thought wouldn't be provided and I didn't need to open my box but once. They've got scissors, umbrellas, things to do and read, ice maker, excellent working washer and dryer as well as a/c. The gift basket on the counter upon arrival was incredibly generous and useful with a full supply of smores making items, glow sticks for my child, hot cocoa, a lighter, fire starter, etc. We could not have been more surprised and more appreciative. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and grill as well as clean up after. Plenty of towels were provided as well as extra blankets for relaxing. The fire pit was a favorite at night and we loved watching the fireflies. There are several places to sit and eat outside and the grill was in great shape.The hosts were super responsive and kind and really have thought of everything you would need home away from home including first aid supplies and emergency female items. We saw deer almost every single day of our stay so make sure to look out the front windows often. We also saw a turkey one day. Ocoee Riverside Farm is an hour from the cabin, if you have kids it's definitely a fun and scenic trip. They've got a baby sloth and baby kangaroos you can book encounters with. Mercier Orchards was fun too and is close by.

Amazing Magical Adventure

We had the BEST time at the Mountain Paddle Retreat, our magical lake house during the last few days! We enjoyed everything this house had to offer. From canoeing, to hanging out in the hot tub, sitting by the fire, playing games and making memories to last a lifetime. During our stay we had the added bonus of snow falling, which made for a great night of winter fun, lots of snowballs, snowman building contests and exploring through the woods making every moment an adventure. The hosts Elizabeth and Ed thought of EVERYTHING and were so helpful in answering ALL of our questions! This house is stocked with absolutely everything you need and the things you didn’t know you needed, it is a 10/10 for EVERYTHING any vacationer is looking for in the Blue Ridge Mountains, location, amenities, charm and character. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ed and Elizabeth, your home is a treasure and one that will be a gift to those who have the opportunity to call it their home while vacationing in the mountains. ❤️
