ARTSY. GRAND. SECLUDED. And only 15 to downtown Iowa City. Nature inspired touches adorn this bright and airy log cabin. It is a place to slow down and indulge in nature, drink a glass of wine (or two), and let yourself disconnect and wander. With soaring ceilings, in-home surround sound and hand carved craftsmanship, we have designed the space for family and friends, creative retreats or BIG10 game weekends. There are 2 large living spaces and 2 kitchens for group gatherings or tiny nooks with cozy seating for quiet alone time. Enjoy our gardens and koi pond in the spring, grilling on the porch and Coralville Lake in the summer (only 1 mile away), wooded hiking trails only steps away from the cabin in the fall, and watch the snow fall while snuggled up on our luxurious velvet couch in the winter!

LOCATION:
Conveniently nestled between Iowa City and North Liberty. Our whimsical lodge sits 3 miles off of I-80, only 7 miles (15 minutes) to downtown Iowa City and Kinnick Stadium, 1 mile to Coralville Lake and hiking trails, 4 miles to North Liberty all while enjoying the privacy and tranquility of being tucked amongst the trees.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:
Guests have full access to the cabin and all its amenities and surrounding 1.8 acres. The door has a digital lock to make your stay easy and keyless. There is a camera on the Doorbell that faces away from the house. Light breakfast is included in your stay, please specify if you have any food allergies or preferences when booking. We enjoy hosting and if you wish for us to pop by and say hi we would be more than happy, just say the word!

Great Family Weekend

Beautiful inside and out

Our family gathered together with their families at this beautiful house in the woods of Iowa City. We all had our own rooms and bathrooms, we were wonderfully surprised by the well stocked items in the kitchen and availability to use and enjoy everything that was inside for us use as well. Then outside.. ponds trees and to be able to walk about and enjoy all the surrounding areas! The host was very accommodating to us as well!

Fantastic Home for football weekend

This home was awesome. Better than the photos. Our group of ten were in for the Iowa football game and couldn’t have been more pleased. We felt like we were in a mountain ski lodge ( in Iowa!). Spacious. Huge kitchen. Gas grill. Decorated beautifully. This is the nicest VRBO home I have rented in 15 years. Our host even left us a homemade blueberry breakfast cake. I would highly recommend this home to any large group. Thank you Kate for a wonderful weekend.

Volleyball Trip to Iowa

We had a great stay, we came to Iowa to play in a High School preseason tournament. We were looking for a house that would fit the 12 players, coaches, and parent drivers. There was plenty of space. We also were looking for something that would allow the ladies to hang and connect as a group and leading into the season, and there was more than enough space in the house to allow them to have their time as a team. The house was well supplied, and we were able to make all our meals at the house and eat as a big group. The house was everything we were looking for, and we had an amazing time. Thank you so much!!
