We had a great stay over the holiday weekend. The cabin was perfect and well equipped. There is a very nice fenced in back patio with a fire pit. This place is a perfect jumping off point for all the wonderful activities in the area. The hosts are wonderful and accommodating. The trails on the property are a fantastic place for a morning or evening walk. Thanks for a great stay!
Cleanest place I have ever stayed. So much character. Very warm and welcoming! Great host and hostess Perfect place for a girls get away. Would love to come back with the hubs
Thank you for a wonderful weekend filled with great memories
Great property, very nice location and clean.
You can see the owners went out the way to make sure we were comfortable. Very nice little cabin and the walking trails on the property are very nice and peaceful. My family enjoyed themselves and we did little trips around Michigan everyday.
Thank you
Fantastic cottage size cabin in the middle of woods with all the modern amenities. We were welcomed with treats on the counter and a spectacularly spotless cozy cabin. Enjoyed the time there over the holiday weekend. Played games completed puzzles and cooked hot dogs over the fire pit.
The host is extremely communicative, and addresses all questions quickly. The house is perfect - there is everything a person could want or need in terms of kitchen utensils, and I especially appreciated the fact that there is plenty of silverware that makes meal preparation simple. The furnishings and linens are plentiful, as are the extra touches (i.e. lotions, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, bug spray, lanterns/outside lights, etc.), and the decor is very welcoming. Of course, the host's welcoming dish of sweets was an unexpected and gracious gift to see once we entered the home. Last, but certainly not least, was the very extensive amount of brochures highlighting activities for the area, and if stuck inside, games and activities for all ages were well covered & provided. Pam is an excellent host, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy cabin! It was centrally located, while still feeling like you are far enough away from people to really relax and enjoy nature. Feels really remote, but you are still within 5-20 minutes from food (or anything you need) depending on where you go (the owners even have a little convenience store down the road that we visited).
We enjoyed brunch and an early dinner in Traverse City - about 45 minutes from the cabin, and came back to enjoy the late afternoon on the patio. This was relaxing as the sun was just behind the trees, there was a slight breeze, and it was quiet and peaceful! Later that evening, we went to the suspension bridge down the road about 20 minutes in Mesick where we got engaged at sunset! We came back and enjoyed the board games that were supplied and had a great time! I also enjoyed taking my dog for morning walks around the property.
The cleanliness of the cabin and hospitably of Pam & Ken was amazing! We felt so at home! It was such a peaceful and relaxing stay and we definitely want to come back, and we have already recommended the place to our friends!
Nice cottage for our 5 day, 4 night stay.Neat, clean, well equipped.Nice fenced area for our dogs to run around in.Very quiet, off the beaten path.We will be back next year!
