W Lake Mitchell cottage. 1/2 mile to Manistee Natl Forest access w/local trails for XC ski & snowshoe. Head out your door! EZ connect to Trail 6. No need to trailer toys.
Deeded private lake frontage & boat dock, 250 yards. Soft bottom, not good swimming. Distant view of lake. Great central location for hikers. Both Manistee River Trail & NCT & Fife Lake Loop are 25 min. Kayaking the rivers? Pine River or Manistee, 25 min. Quiet side of lake affords great opportunities for road cycling. Lake loops of 7, 10 or 17 miles, w/ longer routes on rolling country roads.
Restaurants, shopping, all one needs, 4-8 miles.
Driveway parking for three vehicles with additional option for a trailer.
Master bedroom has private 1/2 bath. 2nd bedroom is a cozy double and 3rd with twin bunks for the kids or those single pals.
Full bath central to all. Small cozy cottage owned and managed by same folks for years. Regular updates and good maintenance.

We’ve owned the cottage since 1998! Enjoy what the area offers so much that when the opportunity presented itself we bought a place 1/2 mile from the cottage and moved here in June 2023. We’ll leave you alone, but if interested have a lot of info about all things Cadillac, the National Forest… so much available right from the cottage.
Why they chose this property
350 yards to Manistee National Forest foot trail access in the Brandy Brook Wildlife area. Abundant wildlife. (I spotted black bear the first Saturday in August) Great hunting or hiking.
1/4 mile to boat launch. Only 4 miles to Cadillac West for good restaurants and all the basics or 7 miles to downtown Cadillac for anything else.
14 mile drive to Caberfae, 30 miles to Crystal Mtn.
ORV-OHV -snowmobile trail 6= 2.7 rideable miles. Seasonal roads for exploring = 2.25 miles.
