This house was built in 2008 and the living areas were remodeled in 2021.
GUEST ACCESS:
This unique setting up in the mountains is accessed by a gravel State Road and steep 1/4 mile long gravel driveway which requires a sufficient Front-Wheel Drive Vehicle (i.e. Honda CRV, Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, Volvo XC 60). FWD sedans generally do NOT make it up the driveway. Most FWD drive minivans do not make it all the way up the driveway due to the weight distribution. A Rear Wheel Drive Vehicle will not make it up the driveway. AWD vehicles have no issues accessing the property and are preferable to ensure complete mobility.
Other things to note
10 min from Wisteria Farm and Vineyard
10 min from Jordan Hollow Stables
15 min from the Shenandoah River
40 min from Massanutten Ski Resort
2 hours from Washington DC
A lot of extras are included in this booking- firewood, charcoal, and premium movie channels.
Guests should visit with the intention of relaxing and unplugging. In March 2024 Starlink became available in this area which has dramatically improved connectivity. Why they chose this property
The Cabin is nestled in 60 pristine acres of the Shenandoah Mountains. The National Park is 1.2 miles from the property- this promixity to the park preserves an overall setting which is unspoiled by development. The area offers many outdoor activities to include, hiking, rafting, horseback riding, and more. The best part of this property is walking out the Cabin door and hiking throughout the property and enjoying the stunning views.
What makes this property unique
Our goal is to pleasantly surprise guests with all the "extras" like free firewood, movie channels, private hiking trails, etc most rentals do not include.
