Shasta Ski/Board Park and 30 minutes to Shasta Lake. Convenient to Castle Crags State Park or the historic towns of Castella, Mt. Shasta City and McCloud. Under mature timbers, the rear deck overlooks the best fishing hole in town. Complete with a full kitchen, gas bbq, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot/grinder, washer/dryer, WI-FI cable TV and CD stereo. Take a quick drive or short walk to town where you will find local markets, gourmet restaurants, coffee bars, and a micro brewrey. You will see and hear trains as Dunsmuir is a railroad town. Absolutely loved it!The house is perfectly appointed and the location on the river is amazing!The location is also perfect for easy trips to Lake Siskiyou, City of Mt. Shasta, and McCloud Falls. We enjoyed them all!The owner is very friendly and responsive, and clearly demonstrates care to ensure that his guests have a great experience.We can’t wait to plan our next visit to Dunsmuir, and stay again in the log cabin on the river!

Great Property.....Great Location

You could spend a month here and never run out of things to do. Plenty of beds for the whole family and directly oncthe river! We did Burney Falls, Mc Cloud Falls (all three levels), Fairey Falls, and Hodge Creek Falls. We also took anamazing tour of Shasta Caverns which included a boat ride across the leg of the lake, a short bus ride up tp the caverns, and a guided tour inside. We did all that in two days!

We were here as a midpoint on a ride from Los Angeles to Seattle. The river was running too high for any luck fly fishing, but it was a great spot and we enjoyed casting none the less.Zero complaints about the cabin or the process.

A little piece of Paradise!

Perfect for our mini family reunion, Bedrooms were comfy and the loft provided a nice quiet place for reading or relaxing. The kitchen was perfect for us to gather cook and eat, inside or out on the deck. We really enjoyed sitting by the river and watching people fish. Easy walk to town too.

Perfect River Home

The owner is kind, thorough, and very responsive. The home is very clean and very well maintained. The location is ideal for hanging out swimming (chilly but refreshing!) and fishing in the river which is extremely close. A perfect stay!

Fly fishing trip - perfect location

The cabin was perfect for our annual flyfishing trip. Not only could we fish out the back door, but it’s very close to many wonderful rivers. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and just as described. Property manager was terrific. I would happily stay again.

Why they chose this property

We grew up in Dunsmuir We decided to build a vacation home in Dunsmuir so our family could gather for the seasonal activities. It is a perfect place to gather with friends and family to enjoy all seasons.

What makes this property unique

Rafting/tubing, swimming and fishing right out the back door. A quick drive to water ski or boat on Shasta Lake or the many other local lakes. Conveniently located to trails and mountains for hikes or exploration. The waterfalls are abundant and breathtaking. Mt. Shasta Ski/Board Park is within 20 minutes and the lift tickets are reasonable without traffic issues-- night and cross country skiing is available too. The community offers scenic drives to historic railroad, timber, fishing and health conscious points of interest.
