The house and views were beautiful. Unfortunatley, the week we were there, the sauna and hot tub were not usable. This is likely a short term issue, but verify before you go if those are important to you. Also, be prepared for bears. We saw them on the property multiple times a day every day we were there, including attempting to get in our vehicles.

Those views really are something, aren't they? We're so glad the home's beauty made such an impression on you! We're sorry the sauna and hot tub were out of commission during your visit — you're right that it's a temporary issue, and we've passed your note along to our team so future guests can enjoy them fully. And those bears certainly know how to make their presence known! We appreciate you sharing the heads-up along with your feedback. Thank you for staying with us, and we'd love to welcome you back anytime.
We absolutely loved our stay. The space was beautiful and had everything we needed. The driveway looks scary but isn't bad at all!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad to hear you loved the space and found it well-equipped for your stay. And we appreciate you reassuring future guests about the driveway — it does look a bit intimidating at first glance! We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon.
We had a lovely stay at the Leyland cabin. It was very clean and spacious. The location was great too. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions.

Thank you for your kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at Leyland Cabin and found the space clean, spacious, and well-located. It’s also great to hear our team was responsive and helpful during your visit. We’d love to host you again!
It is a beautiful cabin. The hot tub was a mess though. I wish it was fixed before we got there. It was fixed as we were packing to leave. The kitchen was well stocked but they need to get a peeler for vegetables. The drive way is very steep. We had bears visit everyday. They actually were fun to watch but they tried to get in our cars so make sure you lock your doors and watch for bears. They seem harmless as long as you respect them. The deck is awesome and has a fire pit we enjoyed. Internet is spotty but we were there to enjoy the environment. Game room is amazing! And bedrooms very nice. Host was also very good. We would go back and recommend. We had a family reunion and it was so much fun!

What a special setting for a family reunion — thank you for sharing so much of your stay with us! We're glad the deck and fire pit, game room, and comfortable bedrooms were such a hit, and that the bears made for memorable (if slightly mischievous) neighbors. We're sorry the hot tub wasn't ready for you sooner; that timing wasn't what we'd hoped for, and your notes on the kitchen stock and connectivity have been passed along to our team as well. Thank you for the recommendation and the thoughtful feedback — we'd love to host your family again whenever the mountains are calling.
Thank you! We’re glad the home was a great fit for your group. It’s always wonderful to host multiple families and see everyone enjoy the space. Hope to welcome you all back soon!
We had a wonderful family weekend to celebrate my brother’s 60th birthday. 8 adults from 5 different families along with 3 kids and there was plenty of rooms and space for everyone. The property was well managed, great communication and instructions. The hot tub was clean and a fun option. We loved building a fire in the pit, played Yahtzee, grilled, ate big meals and enjoyed the kitchen/dining area, and even saw a bear (lock your car doors because they know how to check handles). All the cooking items you will need is in the kitchen, including a keurig and drip coffee maker. Clean bathrooms and rooms. Everyone loved this cabin and location!

Thank you for letting us be a part of your birthday experience, Maggie! We really appreciate the great review and hope to be able to host you all again in the near future!
We spent a few nights here for my mom‘s 80th birthday and had a wonderful time. We loved sitting on the backyard deck with its amazing views. We even saw a bear in the driveway on 2 separate occasions so be careful. It could easily walk onto the lower level porch from the driveway. The cabin was beautiful but a bit dated in certain areas (old rugs from the 1980s on stairs). The decor is very cute though, especially the master bedroom. The tall ceilings and the windows in the living room are beautiful. The listing should mention the extremely steep driveway heading down to the cabin. My mother is terrified of heights and I probably would not have booked it had I known. I can’t imagine staying here in the winter months with a possibility of ice or snow in the driveway. There is no parking in the garage but the driveway can easily fit 4-5 cars. Directions were accurate. There are plenty of beds, which is a plus if you have a large family, but the set up of the bedrooms is a bit weird. The bedroom adjacent to the living room has double glass doors (with a privacy shade), has no TV, and it is the only community bathroom to use while you are hanging out in the kitchen or living room. I gave it a 4/5 for cleanliness because when we emptied the kitchen cabinets and silverware drawer to wash dishes, I cleaned them out and they were filthy, but overall the rest of the cabin was pretty clean. The property management is easy to communicate with and checked in with us often.

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review, and a very happy belated 80th to your mom! We're so glad your family had a wonderful time celebrating together and enjoyed the deck views, beautiful master bedroom, and those stunning living room windows — what a memorable backdrop for such a special occasion. We truly appreciate you flagging the concerns around the steep driveway, the dated touches, and the kitchen cabinets, and we'll be sure to pass this feedback along so we can keep improving. It's also great to hear our team was easy to reach throughout your stay. We'd love to welcome you and your family back for another celebration anytime!
Host was accommodating of a slightly early check in via text message, day of. Very responsive. Lots of space to socialize but also spread out and sleep. I would stay here again.
Although only 10-12 minutes from downtown Asheville, this home feels secluded being on a north-facing mountain with only one neighbor in earshot. Very quiet and peaceful home with plenty of space for many people.
These managers have thought of everything! We had a fabulous stay. Property was spotless and spacious……plenty of space for privacy and for gathering together both inside and outside.

Brenda, it was wonderful hosting you, and we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! We really appreciate your kind words regarding our managers! We look forward to having you back next time, and thank you for your review!
We loved the cabin and the location! Everything was perfect except the oven not working. The staff was very helpful in coming to look at it and providing an air fryer, but it did impact some of the food we brought to make while there. Other than that, the rooms, bathrooms, outdoor space, and hot tub were great. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there.

We apologize for the oven issue and understand how that impacted your experience. We're happy to hear the staff was able to assist, and we appreciate your understanding. We hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future!
Beautiful mountain home 10 minutes away from downtown Asheville! This was the perfect spot for my bachelorette trip/group, and the house accommodated all 15 of us and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. Plenty of room to spread out, and you can’t beat the views! They texted before and throughout checkin in, and anytime I had a question management would respond within minutes. Check in and out was extremely smooth process. Overall great experience!

Ideal for a large group of friends who want to spend time grilling out, hanging on the decks and exploring local breweries. Ride shares could be problematic, but we always managed to get where we needed to go with enough notice. The grill was small, but manageable, even for a large group. Probably my only complaint was that the main TV wasn't very large, so don't expect to watch the game with a large group while you're there.

Outdated especially for the price
The property is disappointing in many ways for the price that you pay to rent it. The carpet is from the 1970’s, the furniture is about as cheap as it can be and the kitchen appliances lack a whole lot. The AC is extremely hard to regulate as well - the basement is freezing, while the upstairs bedrooms have a hard time cooling down.
Thanks for the longitude and latitude directions. Google maps took us to a spot 3 miles away when we used the address. Also thanks for the 10 lbs of ice in the refrigerator and the plastic trays since neither fridge has an ice maker. The kitchen fridge is too small for the opening and it looks like someone took a hammer to the stainless steel. I recommend you supply the garage door code since climbing the hill to go into the house each time and opening the door is cumbersome. Please tell renters to keep garage doors shut at all times and cars locked in the driveway. We had a mom bear and 3 cubs on the property 3 times. One time they were in the garage and opened a car door and took 3 bags of garbage out of the garbage can that had a lid on it. Another time the cubs were on the lowest deck. The 3rd time they were foraging the hillside and trying to get in the parked cars. Watching one cub climb a tree and look into the living room was very exciting. The wash machine needs repair. When it goes into spin cycle it sounds like a rock crushing. You can not converse on the main floor. The 8 chairs around the dining room table are very uncomfortable. Thank goodness for the 4 card table chairs. Beds were numerous and comfortable. The furniture in the Master Bath has deteriorated badly from the moisture (particle board furniture does that). The pictures and description were accurate. The problems listed are obvious until you get there.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, Sharon! We're glad you appreciated the directions, the extra ice, and the comfortable beds. It sounds like you had quite the wildlife experience—bears certainly add an unexpected adventure! We’ll make sure future guests are aware of the importance of keeping the garage doors shut and vehicles locked.
We appreciate your notes on the kitchen fridge, garage access, washer, and dining chairs. Your input is valuable, and we’ll review these areas for potential improvements. Thanks again for sharing your experience—we’d love to welcome you back in the future!

Great house! We wanted to book a spot where we would enjoy hanging out during the day and this delivered. Lots of common area space but everyone had plenty of room for downtime as well. Would definitely recommend. We had a few small issues and the team was quick to respond and resolve.

We're so glad the house delivered exactly what you were after—a place to comfortably hang out together during the day while still having room to retreat for some downtime! It's great to hear our team was quick to jump on those few small issues and get them resolved, too. Thank you so much for the recommendation, and we'd love to welcome you and your group back anytime!
The house was wonderful, clean and spacious for our group of 10 girlfriends! Mercedes was so easy to communicate with and quick to respond even before arriving. It makes for such a great experience when you know your host genuinely cares about and prioritizes your experience as a guest! We were all able to be in the kitchen area comfortably while prepping and cooking meals and fit around the tables to eat and play card games. The deck and view were great and we hope to be back sometime in the warmer months to enjoy it even more!
The house is in a great location, easy and short drive to downtown Asheville, which was important to us!
Advice to future guests- absolutely worth it to stay here! But I would suggest trying to get to the house for the first time before dark (her check in time allows for that!) but the street before the one the house is on has a number of large ruts and potholes and, like most mountain homes, the driveway is very steep. My truck was fine for it but I was glad to do the drive in the daylight first.
