About this property

Modern brick retreat in Coyoacán | Patio

Summary:

Undoubtedly an apartement to enjoy and be part of the historical memory of this city. Our interior design team took advantage of this emblematic property in the center of Coyoacan to transform it into a modern, comfortable apartement with a lot of personality.

The Space:

This one bedroom apartment will make you travel to another time, where the hustle and bustle of the big city does not exist. The property has its own language to explain itself, you will find significant and characteristic elements on the facade and building.

Every corner of the apartment and the neighborhood has something of the history of Mexico.

Whether you come for tourism or business, as a family, partner or friends, the house will provide you with the space and comforts you need.

Premium amenities include a Nespresso coffee machine, Streaming Channels, Bose speaker, and high-end toiletries.

Guest Access:

Enjoy full access to the accommodation and the building’s amenities—make yourself at home and feel comfortable throughout your stay.

To keep everything running smoothly, visits are not permitted unless registered in advance. If you’d like to add extra guests, you’re very welcome to do so for an additional fee of 25 USD or 400 MXN per night.

If you need the sofa bed prepared, we’re happy to arrange it for an extra fee of 25 USD or 400 MXN per stay.

The Neighborhood:

A quiet lifestyle, a lot of history and a relaxed cultural environment, are some of the things you could enjoy living in Coyoacán. It was in this magical neighborhood that Hernán Cortés established the First City Hall, marveling at its beautiful landscapes with abundant springs, orchards, fields and multicolored gardens.

Due to its magical atmosphere, its abundant vegetation, its tranquility and its provincial characteristics, numerous personalities of the stature of the writers José Juan Tablada and Rubén M. Campos, the pioneer researcher of Mexican art Manuel Toussaint came to reside in the old town of Coyoacán , the teacher and great chronicler Salvador Novo, the outstanding painter José Chávez Morado, the renowned artists Dolores del Río, Emilio “Indio” Fernández, Frida Kahlo, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Diego Rivera, and the political exile León Trotsky, among many others.

Some shops in Coyoacán are so well known and traditional that, by themselves, they represent a reason to go to meet them. The famous cantina-restaurant La Guadalupana dates back to 1932; the bar-brewery La Puerta del Sol has welcomed its patrons since 1918; and the Siberian ice creams, the most famous in Coyoacán, have been delighting visitors since 1930 with traditional and exotic flavors. Added to this group are El Jarocho coffee and its branches, the Mexican Artisan Bazaar -with a varied sample of products- and the Mercado de Antojitos, where quesadillas, sopes, tacos, pambazos, pozole and other Mexican succulents are on demand.

Getting Around:

Known as the cultural and artistic heart of Mexico City. Coyoacán has houses of culture, theaters, activities, sports and much more. Every day there is something new to do.

The historic center of Coyoacán is particularly crowded on weekends when families stroll through its gardens and go to its bookstores, while at night, the nightlife is a magnet for those seeking to enjoy the bohemian atmosphere in its bars, cantinas, cafes and rocks.

Other Things to Note:

We kindly ask you to follow a few simple guidelines to help keep everything comfortable for everyone: please close what you open, return anything you use, switch off lights and appliances when not in use, take responsibility for any damage, handle all items with care, tidy up after yourself, and leave everything in its original place.

Please note that, as this is a condominium, access to amenities is managed by the building administration rather than by us. Availability may occasionally be limited or temporarily restricted due to maintenance, capacity policies, or prior reservations. This is beyond our control and does not affect the accommodation service.

Interaction with Guests:

We’re here to support you throughout your stay and make everything as easy and comfortable as possible. You can reach our hosts at any time—preferably via WhatsApp—or by calling the numbers provided in your check-in instructions or available in the apartment. Our regular support hours are from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

We usually respond within an hour; however, replies may take a little longer during nighttime hours. For urgent matters, we remain available after 10 pm. We’ll always do our best to assist you and ensure you have a smooth, pleasant, and worry-free stay.

The 1 bedroom garden level Apt is cozy and attractive as pictured and described. The best advantage about this Apt is the location close to the 2 Plazas: Fuente de Los Coyotes and Plaza Hidalgo; many restaurants, cafes, street artists and venders. Access to Ubers, Taxis, Banks and Markets are close by.One update is there is no fireplace. Because we rented in January the nighttime temperature can be chilly. 2 space heaters were provided. The King bed is comfortable. The shower water was warm, but not hot. The kitchenette has every appliance with a large refrigerator and stove top.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re glad you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the apartment and its unbeatable location near Plaza Hidalgo and Fuente de Los Coyotes—it really is a special area with so much to explore. We appreciate you pointing out a few details for future guests. You’re absolutely right that January evenings can be chilly, and we’re happy the space heaters helped keep things comfortable. We’ll also double-check our listing to ensure it’s clear that there is no fireplace—thank you for flagging that. Regarding the shower temperature, we’ll look into that right away to make sure it’s consistently reaching a hotter setting for our guests’ comfort. It’s great to hear you found the bed comfortable and the kitchenette well-equipped. We’d love to host you again anytime!

NO HOT WATER TWO OUT OF FOUR DAYS.

We arrived late Wednesday night, no hot water. Called manager in the morning. He said he would send service at 11:00 am. We went to morning appointment and returned at noon. Manager monkeyed with faucets and got hot water for afternoon showers. Next morning no hot water. Manager said he could come 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. We had appointments at that time. Next day hot water. Next day no hot water. Repeated calls to property manager.

We regret to hear that you didn't know how to handle the shower. We took care of it every day, sending the maintenance engineer and even videos so that you could make the correct use of the showers.
