Spa House:On Lake Michigan w/ Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna

The Spa House is for those who are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Located just north of St. Joseph, our house is on a 1.4 acre wooded lot on a dead-end street with a fenced-in backyard for plenty of privacy. This tranquil property sits on a bluff with sweeping views of Lake Michigan. Relax on the large deck, lounge poolside (20' by 40' in-ground pool), or unwind in the hot tub and watch the spectacular Lake Michigan sunsets.

This 3000 sq. foot home is ideally suited for multiple or extended families vacationing together. The house has one King bed in the Master Bedroom, and a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds in the other main-floor bedroom, one Queen and two Queens in the garden level bedrooms. The house also has a lakeside sun room that includes cathedral ceilings with skylights and a sauna. Wireless Internet is accessible throughout the home. Full week Saturday-Saturday rentals only June-August.


Swimming Pool: Our heated swimming pool comes with a safety cover for your peace of mind while vacationing at the Spa House. The cover is on a motorized track that seals the pool with the push of a button.

The Spa House is also available for off season rental as a weekend scrapbooking retreat. See link below.

Do to the high water and erosion, we no longer have access to the beach.

The Spa House was everything I needed to have our first family vacation with my children & grandchildren. There was plenty of living space for all 9 of us plus space to be by oneself if needed. The jacuzzi complimented the pool as well as the sauna to relax in. All amenities were available as well as additional towels, bedding & blankets. The kitchen was beautiful & well stocked with everything we needed to cook with as verbalized by my son, a chef. The house was very clean & decorated beautifully. Even the landscaping was perfect. The host was very responsive. Will no doubt return.

Quiet spot on Lake Michigan

The house comfortably fit our multi-generational family of 9. The pool was the highlight of the trip - clean and well-maintained. Kitchen was well-stocked also.

Perfect family getaway

This house is much nicer in person than pictured. There is a beautiful sun room, a tucked away sitting area, and an extra family room on the lower level. The pool was such a bonus and the sunsets were amazing!

Excellent location, great view

We had a great week. Kids played in the pool all day everyday. No beach access from the house, but views were amazing with great sunsets every night and multiple nearby public beaches that weren't too crowded. Beds were comfortable, well-stocked kitchen and kids loved the extra pool toys to play with. We would love to come back.

a blissful week!

Our family (age range 18 months to 78) had a wonderful stay at Spa House. The house is thoughtfully and thoroughly equipped; the pool and sauna were favorites; we drove every day just a few minutes to the beach. And every single evening we especially enjoyed spectacular sunset views over Lake Michigan. When we had questions, Greg responded quickly and helpfully. And the giant set of Duplo we discovered in the closet entertained our grandson. All told a perfect vacation!

Perfect Family Getaway!

We just got back from an amazing trip here. The house was way bigger than we expected, and the pool was huge- our kids loved the shallow end where they could actually stand and play. The pool has a cover that's as easy as the press of a button- adding peace of mind when little kids are in the mix. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need, and the sauna was perfect for a post-workout sweat. The views were incredible, with Lake Michigan sunsets every night that looked straight out of a postcard. The location was super convenient too — in the middle of St. Joe’s, Paw Paw, and South Haven, so we could grab coffee or check out shops easily. Greg was an incredible host- great communicator and so kind. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back!

Kids loved the pool

We had a great week. The weather cooperated and the kids played in the pool every day. We enjoyed the pool toys/floats that were available. Also saw some wonderful sunsets from the deck. It’s unfortunate that there is no longer beach access from the house but we went to the beach just north a couple of miles. It wasn’t very busy – probably helped that we avoided the weekends. Would love to see some updates to the garden level but we appreciated ample pillows and blankets that were available and multiple areas on the top floor for all to congregate. We would love to come back.

I highly recommend this home for your Lake Michigan vacation! Beautiful view of the lake and are close to the beaches. We visited Hagar, Silver, and our favorite was Warren Dunes State Park. The pool is huge and very well kept. Nice outdoor tables with umbrellas, lots of chairs. The outdoor fire pit is great; we used for marshmallows. (hot dog sticks in the hall closet). We did bring our own camping chairs. Kitchen - everything you need to cook for a large group. Nice views from the kitchen, dining, sunroom and master bedrooms with blinds that worked great to shut out the sun if needed. Comfortable furniture in all four sitting areas! The beds were comfortable as well. This home is very clean. We had groceries delivered a couple times, which was really convenient. The spaciousness was the best because we had a large group, ages 4 - 67, 13 of us in all, and we were not running over each other. With four sitting areas, there was always a place to go. We did bring extra tvs. The back yard is a nice grassy space. The garage is so convenient too, second fridge in there. Washer and dryer are in an excellent location downstairs with large table to fold clothes and towels. It is a lake house that is so big and beautiful. Lake view, night sky full of stars, breeze from the trees around made us comfortable! Loved the amount of space there is, the views, the pool being very deep and large, and the closeness to the beaches! Owner is helpful, communicates quickly, and is kind.

Great Stay for Big Family with Beautiful View

We had a wonderful week at this house - the view from the backyard is beautiful and the pool was wonderful. The house had lots of board games, some Legos, and books which were great for kids and the family. There were several different spaces for lounging and visiting with family indoors (not all pictured in listing). Kitchen and pantry was very well stocked. Would certainly return again.

Great family cottage

My family and I had a great week enjoying both the pool /hot tub and Lake Michigan at the nearby Rocky Gap Park. We loved having 3 full baths, as we were a group of 5 sisters and kids/grandkids. Greg, the owner, was very quick to respond to questions. And, of course, the sunset views were remarkable!

Beautiful view

Despite a rainy week, we still enjoyed our stay. The main level of this home was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked, and the view of the pool and Lake Michigan outstanding. There is a nice wooden deck overlooking the backyard and pool that had plenty of seating. The pool deck also had plenty of furniture to laze around on. There was ample room for 6 adults and 4 children, indoors and out, even at mealtime. We were able to make use of the pool a few of the days, but did not use the hot tub or sauna. The pool is large, but there is a limited shallow end for little swimmers. The master bedroom was gorgeous with a wonderful view. The kids' room was located conveniently next to it. The two bedrooms down below were adequate but could use updating.

Family Vacation

My family enjoyed our time at this property. The pool is large and very nice, though the drop off could be marked a little better. There was plenty of space for the family and nice areas if you needed some quiet time. Very well equipped. BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS!

For people that enjoy seclusion, this neighborhood is it! Located on a dead end street with few houses, you we have an experience that is not too “peopley”

What makes this property unique

I think that most people find our home enjoyable because it sets up well for multiple generations. Grandparents playing with grandchildren in the pool, parents enjoying the hot tub, and everyone enjoying s’mores as the sun sets over Lake Michigan.
