The Gem has 4 Bedrooms, 3 baths, Living Room, Dining Room, Sunroom (family room), Private Office, Yoga/Dance Studio, and Laundry.
While maintaining and respecting the original lines and character of the home, every room was taken down to studs and rebuilt with timeless materials, quality workmanship and meticulous attention to detail.
Each space is full of character and designed for your comfort and enjoyment.
And because the property is also my personal home, it features the things that I most enjoy and am passionate about - special and unique pieces I have collected, original artwork, rare and precious minerals.

Note: The cork flooring can be slippery, especially in sock feet - please be careful
LAUNDRY - Full size front loading washer and dryer and most of what you'll need, with the idea of saving you time and making your life easier by not having to buy full size stuff while you're here.
FRONT PORCH AND BACK YARD - The outdoor spaces are equally lovely and inviting. Come hang out and enjoy Denver's beautiful weather on the covered front porch overlooking the rose and perennial garden or even more private backyard spaces, including upper patio, lower dining area, more gardens and two water features.
Note: The water features (fountains) may or may not cooperate in functioning - they are beautiful and delightful, but positively finicky and no guarantees can be made. If they are important to you, I can give you tips on how to keep them up and operational as best as possible.
I care about how a space makes you feel and it is and has been my intention to create each space in my home to feel welcoming, inviting and someplace you don't want to leave anytime soon. A place where you can take a deep breath and be yourself. I care about your experience and making it all it can be while you're here.
For guests convenience, the closet in the primary bathroom is fully available and includes a custom Elfa system with short and long hang storage, shelves, six (6) drawers and two (2) shoe pull-out drawers. In addition, there is a twelve (12) drawer dresser in the primary bedroom.
The detached 2-car garage can be accessed via the alley.
House Rules - 1. No parties allowed and no smoking in the house of any kind.
2. You're welcome to kick your feet up, but please leave you shoes at the door.
3.The kitchen is fully stocked - please feel free to enjoy what is there and replenish what you use.
QUIET HOURS The property is on a particularly lovely and quiet block in Wash Park West. Please be especially courteous of neighbors and the quiet hours (9pm to 9am).
MINERAL SPECIMENS - PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH Most, if not all, of the mineral specimens on display have sharp, jagged, delicate edges and can tip and shift easily. For your safety and that of the mineral specimen, please do not touch or move.
NOT CHILD-PROOFED Please note that this home has not been child-proofed in any way whatsoever. As such, it may not be the best fit for families with small children.
PET POLICY Guests' well-behaved and COMPLETELY potty trained canine companions are welcome (up to two).
There is a fee of $250 for the 1st pup and $200 for the 2nd, if applicable.
Pup bathroom breaks are best done on a walk around the block.
On property, to ensure the grassy areas look and feel beautiful for all guests, bathroom breaks will need to be confined to a mulched area in the back of the backyard.
Extra and special care is taken to thoroughly clean the home before and after each guest. But even so, it may not be the ideal fit if someone in your party is allergic to dogs.

The house is beautiful. Every local friend who came to visit us while there exclaimed over its unique design. It truly is luxurious. It was large enough for the three of us (grandparents and grandchild) to spread out and each have our own space, but not so large as to feel overwhelming.
Everything we needed and could have wanted was there. The owner was extremely welcoming and saw to our every need. There is nothing negative to say about this owner and this house, We plan to stay there again on our fairly frequent trips back to Denver.

I love welcoming guests into my home and sharing what has been a labor of love for over 20 years. My free time is spent hanging with my two pups, Faith and Theo, and those I hold most dear to my heart and making the spaces I'm in as lovely as I can possibly imagine.
Why they chose this property
West Wash Park is full of character, charming and close to nearly everything wonderful Denver has to offer. Huge 100+ year old trees, cool neighborhood shops and restaurants and easy access to I-25 make it an ideal location
What makes this property unique
Since I was a kid my passion has been making space look good and feel even better. As my first home, this property has been my playground and experimental creative space.
Built in 1906, I had the pleasure of fully renovating it. Every room was taken down to studs and rebuilt with timeless materials, quality workmanship and meticulous attention to detail.
Perhaps even better than the inside are the garden and outdoor lounging and eating spaces.
And because the property is also my personal home, it features the things that I most enjoy - special and unique pieces I have collected on local and global travels, linens that feel good and beautiful dishes and glassware that make the most mundane feel special.
I hope this labor of love has you feeling immediately at home and peacefully sitting in the lap of simple luxury.
