About this property

The thing I love most about our home is our amazing sunrises. It’ll feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from civilization when you’re just tucked away on a semi-private lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, floating, sun bathing, or just simply relaxing. We are only 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks and hiking, and several major wedding venues. We are 20 minutes from downtown chattanooga and major city attractions including Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Zoo, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and much more. Our lake season is limited to six months. April through October. You will still have amazing water views and sunrises, but water activities may be limited during the off-season.

We are pet friendly for smaller, house broken, cage trained pets, but please ask about our pet fee.

Come see why we love Chattanooga and choose to call Ooltewah our home. This is a private access basement apartment in my home. We live upstairs. But youll have all the privacy you want and need for a great vacation with your own driveway private entrance, and private hot tub, and fire pit.

Beautiful and peaceful

Host was super responsive! Space is on the smaller side but it has everything you need! Can’t say enough about the backyard! It is truly a dream space! Only thing missing was a grill. We definitely want to come back again!! Thank you!

Lake Life

The place was clean and the owner, Herby was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The place was smaller than it seemed in the pictures. The hot tub took a few hours to work and the fire pit didn’t work at all.

Hidden Gem

We were there for a wedding at Howe Farms. All other attendees were 45+ minutes away. We were 12 minutes. It was fantastic! Loved the place. Would like to go back for a couple days away when we have time to use the pool and hot tub. They looked so inviting.

It was a beautiful home in a good area. It was not very private since you are in the basement and houses all around you. The bed was not comfortable at all. My partner had to sleep on the floor.

If you’re looking to feel like 1,000,000 miles away, but still close to civilization, this is in place. Breathtaking views in the perfect lake setting. The water is great for boating, floating, swimming, or just laying out. Lots of great restaurants within 10 minutes. Close to Chattanooga, the Ocoee River, the Cherokee National Forest, Lookout Mountain, along with Ruby, Falls, and Rock City. Private driveway and entrance. Very Romantic. Free paddle board and Kayak, along with some yard games to make your stay more fun. A wave runner is available for rent by the hour with a signed waver and fee of $85/hour.
